  1. wouldn't be able to fit conti rain king tyres! Instant lose!
  2. Nowt wrong with my chain length at all, or where its positioned in the dropout. Like Ads says, i am still getting the same contact. I ran it like this on my Droxx for ages.
  3. Yeah, Had the same Chris King for nearly 4 years but the Echo SL freewheels do seem amazing, so I had to try one
  4. As long as you don't ride it, it'll be fine
  5. That's becuase he has a secret weight saving weapon on the bike.. Bike is sweet, as usual!
  6. My Marta has a 203mm Aztec Wave rotor with it and I'm super impressed by this setup. I've used Hopes for years, but this was an experiment and I'm really happy with the pimp Marta/203 setup. Still nice and light, but the power is immense. I would say its more powerful than 180mm Hope, for sure. Its mostly down the rotor size though. I'd had this Marta for a while now too and its been spot on. As for the Sky, i'm really liking it. Still need to ride a bit more to get used to it and I still have a couple of things to fit/do to it. Rear tyre = pure win!
  7. It weighs about 2kg, so strength shouldn't realistically be a problem on it - it's one of the heavier frames we sell in that particular category on our site. The warranty covers manufacturing defects, not the frame breaking from repeated use, so any manufacturing defects should become more than apparent within the first 6 months of you owning the frame. A frame cracking from being repeatedly battered into walls and rocks is generally not a manufacturing defect, but as with all of our warranty cases we deal with them on a case by case basis so if you have a problem with any frame you buy from us, we'll try to help you out as much as we can.
  8. dont fancy at the same time as KD, its too cold....brrrr
  9. Arrghh, I am getting STRESSed, I do hope my RISERbars don't snap
  10. Rain Kings & Der Kaisers are worth every penny they cost. They are SOO much better than everything else. Don't knock em till you've tried one.
  11. Sounds very interesting! I'm not sure if your aware but TartyBikes is based in Bamber Bridge and Cuerden Valley is literally 5mins away haha. I've been there a few times on my XC bike. I'll speak to the guys at work and see if they want to pop along for the day.
  12. clear spray laquer, one step off superglue! It works AMAZINGLY, gotta be quick though, it dries very fast!
  13. Surly thats down to the geo mostly though? Most stocks have slacker head angles than 24", plus again most stocks have long stems and heavier DH tyres whereas 24" tend to have shorter stems and lighter single ply tyres. making a 24" like a stock will make it feel like a stock.
  14. Wow, the photos did come out well Was a really good ride, we also found some new street which was cool and we both pulled lots of new lines. My personal faves are the widescreen watergap and the one i took of Ads in full gap tweak mode. Will try and take the video cam next time...

    Disk Brake

You should be able to pop 1 or 2 equal size washers on each side under the caliper mount, bascially between the caliper mount and adapter. This will bring your caliper up and away
  16. Was a fun little ride. New course is tech! My front brake is pure win, otherwise known as a Magura Marta SL Magnesium coupled with a 203 Aztec rotor.
  17. If you leave your tyre on the wheel, still inflated, it'll give you a big help
  18. I guess you've just got work out for yourself whether the mastering, CD pressing and promo is going to take up 30% of your sales, 'cos that's effectively what the label are saying it'll be? If it works out as being less, then take the 20% deal. If it works out as being more, take the 50% deal. Either way, kinda sounds like they're bending you over a bit, but I guess they are taking a risk. Just work out the percentages and see what's best in a financial sense This is OBM on Stan's laptop, btw.
  19. VLC isn't shit. Majority of people have it and if not its easy to install and plays just about anything. I personally think downloading and watching in FULL quality is much nicer, just how it used to be back int' day.
  20. Latest products from Koxx/Try-all include: Black and Grey complete Sky bikes, Black Sky frame (only one in the UK! possibly the world), Try-all 3D Forged stem, updated Carbon Bars and black Koxx Forxx. More info here.
  21. Cheers for the comments! Also big thanks to Ben for the editing. Always admired your editing skills in the past! Music really suited the riding and atmosphere I think. Had a front Magura on for that weekend, and I properly hated it at Matlock, never again lol. Would love to get some fresh footage at Matlock, its an awesome place to ride.
  22. Yeah, the new colour is sweet! They may not be around at Christmas so might be best to get one while they are available
  23. I am a blog whore today. 3 posts and counting.
