  1. The front end isn't really that high at all. The Try-all stem has 150mm x 30° geo which is fairly low for a mod stem. The High Rise Trialtechs make up the rest of the height and the stem stackers are to compensate for the low stack height of the stem clamp. Also you need to remember the BB is +80, which is higher than most mods, therefore you need to match it. It feels really nice when your on it.
  2. Its not to late to apply Say why you think TartyBikes should sponsor you and what you have to offer
  3. Specced this beast out this morning and Ali built it this afternoon. Pleased with how it came out Full spec to follow on the site in the morning. Weight: 8.40kg Geo: 1000mm, 350mm, +80 BB, 595mm reach.
  4. You rode much lately Phil? Will have to sort a ride out Maybe Bootle one night or something.
  5. Batman is where you hang off something with your front wheel and the back brake off then spring up to rear. Wodge is the opposite of wedge, where your on a small object that pushing your wheels apart. Again same principle as batman, so you leave back brake off and front on, then spring up to rear. Probably cos I took them
  6. Cools photos Ads. Love the moody-ness of the Addingham ones. Oh and nice tongue gurn in the gap pic
  7. I do miss YMSA comps. Always had the best atmosphere for me. Looking forward to em.
  8. We might be investing in a HD video camera soon, so maybe we can sort something out in the Summer.
  9. All levels are welcome, but obviously you need to be half decent or show some talent. Its not just about riding though, it's about your attitude and image etc too.
  10. Buthiers is so much nicer in the summer, so I'm sort of not toooo bothered as I think going in Summer will be sweet anyway. I may be at La Tour De Scay aswell for work purposes, but we'll seee.
  11. Woo, cheers for posting these Tim. Ali was on fire this weekend. The first set of rocks on the beach were amazing. Would love to go there again this summer. The sea defence stuff was nuts. Pictures don't show how dangerous they are at all. Scariest place I've rode I think.
  12. Cool pics Ads. Was a fun evening! Like Danny says, good to do something a little different. Poyser, that gurn pic is just hilarious. You look haggered lol.
  13. Plastic mini is retro and I love it. Awesome looking/riding bike for the cash Plus you can have it any of the 4 colours too..
  14. Winstanleys are utter balls mail-order wise. I'm sure they're nice enough if you go in, but I know so many people who've been massively messed around by them. Most of my orders were late too. If you're pushing it to a deadline, I wouldn't risk it with them. EDIT: By Mark!
  15. The top hole, yeah. EDIT: Just remembered Stan's hanger only has one hole...
  16. The rear brake works extremely well. Its good enough for trials too. The headset is an Echo SL not a king and the wheels came complete off a shop bike we dismantled so i was lucky to get the posh rear hub etc. The tensioner is a spoke looped around the axle.
  17. Just thought I'd post some pics of my 24" with a rear disc as there aren't many about. It was double disc for a few weeks, but I'm now riding it without a front brake. I must say though, a rear disc is much more nicer for streety type stuff than the rear HS33 I had. Thanks to Mark/Ads for the photos. If people want a spec I will post one, oh and the weight is 9.66 kilos.
  18. We had a few sets of these a while back to try on Hope Monotrial Brakes, but I think the verdict was they weren't really any better than standard Hope pads. If they are cheap, they might be worth a shot, but otherwise I would stick with standard pads
  19. 74Kingz have stopped producing parts all together now. Times move on!
  20. They aren't the same if that's what your thinking... The new Echo FW's do set the standard though imo, especially the SL one. To the opening post, the Rockman FW's are decent like Al says, especially worth it if you can get a cheaper one. They are pretty reliable too.
  21. We are currently looking to stock some more "trialsy" 24" tyres so keep an eye on the site. At the moment though I would say that 2.7" High Roller is a good bet! 24" Conti Kaiser would own.
  22. 10.2kg is pretty light for that sort of money. The majority of riders bikes weigh a lot more than they think.
  23. He's on a rehab programme now, which involves voluntary tarmacing of random driveways at weekends.
  24. I like! Loving the bars too. We need to sort another ride.. Got me a double disc 24 now

    Riding

front end does seem low, plus those bars look pretty far forward, if you made the front end slightly higher plus tilted the bars back a tad it could help (and would make the bike ride better )
