The 2005 echo's arent out till at least the end of april, so probably longer, unless you want to wait a few months at a guess, then get the 2004 one now.

Thats mental, ive been riding bout a year and a half and can only blunt about 32", sidehop 36", rolling gap 6 feet and static gap about 6 feet. I would prefer to be crap, because it gives me something to work towards. (Y)

A bike shop sounds like a pretty easy job, and you get paid quite a bit. My LBS quoted me 60 for 3 hours work. Even my dad who is a vacuum engineer (he doesnt do hoovers :-" the other kind of vacuum) said he would like to earn that much. But i suppose, might as well aim a little higher, seeing as i doubt you need many qualifications to run a bike shop.

My bmx mates say its way easier, i dont see how, and just feels plain dodgy. I like the colour of the mod, but i agree, why do you have to pay so much just for a bike to feel nice, yet be exactly the same quality as a cheap one :-

I think they would look much better in brushed alu, and i really dont like the built in booster, its ugly. Not sure bout the head tube, its growing on me though. If they're out in the summer i might have to purchase myself one.

I think its quite clear which is better for sidehopping (monty)... but then, that might just be the fact that the spanish are crazy. I rode a mates koxx levelboss long, and i loved it, felt really nice on the back wheel. But the python beat it in that aspect. Only problem with the python is that i found it near impossible to lift the front end whilst riding along, whereas the koxx was bearable. Guessing the short will be about the same, but just for shorter people. Just thought id add, i think short bikes are the way forward! Monty riders can go so much bigger than anyone else ive seen, its immense. I think long bikes are a fad that should be grown out of. Shimano UN53 122.5 as 127.5 might rub. 15 quid i think from bikedock. Might be even cheaper.

I thought when this was posted before, someone said it had a floating caliper, so that even if you did dent your rim it wouldnt rub.....

My best grind was with some shitty disc, it had bits sticking out, killed my rim, but the brake was immense. Now i use a stone cutting disc, no matter how much pasty i give it, its still smooth, its homosexual. If only the old one didnt get lost.....

I bought it myself, thinking it would be a good idea to get the longest i could. My chain rubs on the frame, and i think it might lead to it cracking there eventually. The old one i think was about 122 ish.
