  1. There never was any one in between echo and selectbikes :) Deng just made them pay more. The prices have all dropped, theres been no-one cut out. (Y)
  2. Select bikes dont have it in their catalogue, they are the importers, so looks to me like it is a bit special.
  3. My magura louise Sl rotor (i think that what its called) worked reeeeally well, shame it was slighlty buckled and made funny noises. Get one of those if you can, and EBC reds, best brake ever.
  4. Yes. It'll snap at the toptube downtube weld before the stays anyway :-
  5. Oh right, havent seen a hub in the flesh, so i was assuming that it would be 110mm without the cams. I guess if people are that worried about the frames (which have silly strong one peice CNC BB's now anyway) then they can run cams on the outside :-
  6. You would be correct poopipe, the snail cams are 3mm wide each.
  7. Basically, they look pretty similar to the echo teams in geometry, except with a slightly higher BB. This should mean that the back end flicks out more and you have more clearance. Theyre cheap, good looking, and should really be a great frame choice. Oh, and they probably have the renowned deng strength.
  8. My girlfriend has a bike, can gap 5' now.
  9. Im with phil. As with all dengs products, they will have been tested. How many pythons have broken? Not many, probably because they were tested well, not just because deng got lucky with his designs. I think echo hubs will be the next big thing, same engagement as a CK, without the fear of dieing if it skips because it will be like an ENO skipping. Oh, and less ruined jeans.
  10. As monkey said, but lots and they will go down, deng did it with the frames. Or just buy from someone else with cheaper prices.
  11. Ah yummy. It will probably just be the usual avid overheatingness then, as gothic rotors arent fat.
  12. Ah cool, what rotor is it? If its the hope mono trial one, i find my avid overheats with it quite quickly compared to the original :D
  13. Get some hope rotor bolts, they're like #3 from wiggle. Now theres only one bad thing about it, yay. If i get a hydo disc, looks like it will be the juicy seven or magura something with monty pads.
  14. Which prices take the piss? Might be able to do something about it in a small while :D
  15. Me too, woo. As long as rick comes.
  16. Yeah, i was amazed at the prices. I guess deng ticked the mass buy option.
  17. Monty team? As far as i know it doesnt exist. Theres the echo team, which is a good frame, to be honest though, when you are learning, anything which is really trials specific (ie, onza, koxx, monty, echo zoo etc) will be good. Monty's are light and fairly strong, as long as you run a monty hub.
  18. I think the no manipulation idea is good. Its camera skills we are testing here, not what you can do on a pc. If you are using an SLR you should know what you're doing anyway, so dont really need to use PS.
  19. Any tyre without holes in can be used without tubes if you use fatmikes no tubes thingy ma bob. Otherwise, i think only tubeless tyres (the ones that say so in the description) have a tight enough fit to be used with some tubeless method, which seems to be an industry standard method.
  20. To the people saying changing the bar height as much as the bb height wont make any difference, think about this: With a high bb you are already ~50mm nearer to the balance point, and the nearer you get to it, the easier it is to pull up. This is the ONLY difference if you move the bars the same as bb.

    .~

Could also be the same as the new echo rims in material and almost in width......?
  22. Just fitted my 175mm tensiles. They feel weird coming from 160mm musclemans. But good. All static moves have improved, but blunts have suffered. Im sure once i get used to it, ill get the blunts back better than before. Go long.
  23. They are light comp frames, they will snap if you bash em around a lot. Use protection (armourdillo) and you'll be safer. They look like a very nice ride though, light and bouncy. Go for it if you've got the cash.
  24. If the king does skip, yes it wont engage again until the cranks stop turning. As above, keep it well maintained, and it will be gravy, they have the most efficient and strongest method of engagement.
  25. Is it about 3-6 degrees? 'Cos thats the temperature fridges work at i think. If its really warm, then just let it cool. I guess the settings are all just going to be different stages of cold. So no matter which one its on, it will still be fridge cold.
