  1. koxx rim normal lacing (2/3 crosses or whatever) Cheers
  2. I also forgot to ask...does any one know the length of spokes used on the Hope Pro 2 because I'm probably going to have to buy some new ones seeing as mine are quite long and it will build a better wheel... Cheers Steve
  3. Had a look on tarty and was amazed to see so many people using the pro 2...is it because they have better warranty or maybe because they come is more colours. Just wondered because the american classic seemed lighter for a better price! Cheers Steve
  4. Also where's the best place to buy 1? Crc?
  5. Im buying a Avid BB7 and I'm just trying to work out what lever and cable to get for it... The Odyssey Linear slic kable sounds to be the best...here But I'm unsure on what lever to get...i have felt a xtr lever and not partically liked it, just interested to hear some peoples opinions. Cheers Steve
  6. Because there seemed so much interest i spoke to my bro and he is now willing to do the same for others. We feel £8 plus postage is a resonable price to do it for. So if anyone is interested, get in contact! Steve
  7. It definetly doesnt slip because the freewheel is made of like bombproof metal (like air craft material) so it probably blunted my bro's tools cutting the groves but nothing can really give way because its so hard. The freewheel came off mint. It didn't evenm take that much effort Hahaha! Steve
  8. There's a possibility i could do the same for some others but i assume most people still have the tabs on their freewheels and can place a long bolt through the crank to stop the tool falling out which always seemed a great idea for me. I had ground my tabs off to fit my bike, therefore i did this as a way of getting the freewheel off. It does give them a much lower profile though, I'm surprised it wasn't thought of earlier. Steve
  9. Ad you agreed to bring to video out even though we know we cant get much better quality without a proper video camera. And i can sidehop and ride along rails...i did do it more than once, i think an apology is needed! Thanks for the comments so far guys. Steve
  10. That is right, i didnt swap the parts over at all. My brother is an engineer and works CNC machines. He took it to work for my and placed it in the machine, centered the hole in the freewheel and milled out the groves all the way round. The groves are only 1mm (as in the tool d = 32mm and hole d = 30mm) into the freewheel but are quite deep therefore the tool fits perfectly. All freewheels should have these on them in my opinion! So much easier and there's no reason why the shouldn't. More frame clearance as well now. I have about 10mm both side at least! Steve
  11. Yea it does look nice stipped but im hoping on getting a new frame anyway soon so its not worth the hassle. May go for the new limey! Steve
  12. They're so stiff, feels mint! Such an improvement. BEFORE: AFTER Steve
  13. Knocked this up this morning seeing as my bike was still in pieces, turned out pretty nice and managed to get all the guys in the video. Footage is from the summer around Brentwood, including the famous muddy EBTC venue, thrifwood. Riders are: ME - Steve Rogers Dangerous - Onza T-rex Adam Storey Adski - BT Raven 5.0 Dan Wheeler Spanner - Triton Gazza James Butcher Mr Butch - Triton Gazza ADEVE-3 Hope you like it guys Steve Any criticism welcome!
  14. I loved the extraction technique so much on the new tensile freewheel i decided to do the same on my eno. Works Great! EDIT: Because there seemed so much interest i spoke to my bro and he is now willing to do the same for others. We feel £8 plus postage is a resonable price to do it for. So if anyone is interested, get in contact! Steve
  15. Surely the lower down the top part of the booster the better because there will be less leverage for it to bend when u pull the brake and it will weigh less. You just have to mind your tyre clearance. Also try and avoid too much milling or drilling around corners because they are high stress areas but milling out middles around the bolt etc like steve said is a good idea Steve
  16. Dont worry. Managed to do it, all by myself once again! Thanks for the help though (or lack of it... ) Steve
  17. Has anyone else had trouble fitting a try-all BB...1 of my tools catches the sleeve on the bb as i try and push it over it and the other tool is enclosed which means its not long enough to reach the cup because of the long axle. I could maybe try and make the hole bigger on tool 1 or is there another tool that fits better? Cheers Steve
  18. Alrite Adam...well it seems the easiest option atm. My friend has one and I dont think he's had any problems it came as quite a shock to hear so many bad reviews. Hopefully I'll get a good 'un Thanks again Steve
  19. I spoke to Tartybikes and they said that fsa have stopped importing the BB and may not have any again until next year. I could still send it back for a refund, does anyone think that's a better idea than sticking with the try-all now i have it. Cheers Steve
  20. crap! I dont like the sounds of that...is there any chance i can send it back or stop my order, i havent recieved it yet but they may have sent it. I'll PM adam or dave Thanks for the help guys shame it was a little late. Steve
  21. Dont Worry I got impatient last night and just ordered a try-all, i hope they are as good as the name sugests... The echo external ones wouldn't have fitted anyway because i use front freewheel. Steve
  22. 1."i didn't actually move, it's all done with mirrors" 2.wheel = £120 frame = £300 brakes = £120 you trying to find my saddle = priceless 3.'it did have a seat, but your mum sat on it and i havent seen it since' 4."please donate your live savings, to the poor people who cant afford saddles" 5." I like watching Men ride koxx" 6."what's trials? well, it's like riding a bike...only harder" 7."yes, your bike is better because it has suspension..." [/sarcasm] 8."Yes i do look a twat" 9."if you can find my saddle i'll give you a go of my bike" 10."Trials is a lot like sex, you need a good rubber and a bit of lube but if you can't get it up then forget it!" 11. "I CAN'T SEE SHIT!" 12. I wish your mum rode this well. 13. get me "VALIDATED" 14. www.itscalledtrials.com/nowf**koffandleavemealone 15. "I taught god how to ride" 16. "pay me ill do a trick." www.tshirthell.com These are definetly some of the best efforts in my opinion so far...the ones that most people can understand have the edge i think, e.g. the mastercard one! All made me laugh so much! I liked the long low and silver 1 as well. Also great efforts by Jez - all awesome mate... Definetly going to try and make some of these myself, ive been thinking of creating some shirts for ages now I've got loads of ideas! "I never fall off" "Look how I get it up" "Not bad for a week riding eh?" "You wanna see a cool trick, then lie down" "Sorry about your wall" "I better not get a f***ing puncture!" "Yes. I am the real superman." Can't ride for shit - already been done Best topic ever! Cheers Tall_Rob Steve
  23. Can anyone help??? I was aiming to buy 1 tonight... thanks again
  24. I always thought that the Fsa platinum pro was the right BB to get now I'm buying tensiles...the thing is i thought the axel has to be around 127.5mm but they only make a 113mm and 118mm model. I know the bb cup size 68mm is that also the same as the limey because I'm also thinking of upgrading to 1. I wouldn't want to have to buy another. The only 1 I've seen that looks suitable is the Try-all BB which seems quite pricey at £53...any others? Cheers Guys Steve
  25. I love that new limey, looks mint! Just want to know that it will last a little longer than the old one, i was thinking of getting a zenith but now i think I'll wait for that to be released, any ideas on weight? It must be at least 200g heavier! Which is a good thing if its stronger! Steve
