  1. Lay a piece of paper where the date stamp was, push it against the stamp, and rub the paper with a crayon. It works with coins and you can get a crayon copy of the coin on the paper, might work on the stamp.
  2. No what? And I don't know why it blocked out the name, it's an f.t.w, made by frank the welder.
  3. The bike is an *** WTF frame, haven't built it up yet. I think I'm going to go with the Arcade bars, bad idea?
  4. I'm planning on eventually buying either the Trialtech High Rise or the Inspired Arcade handlebars. I am leaning toward the trialtech, but haven't made a decision yet. What do you all think? Thanks, JN
  5. Hey all. I've been putting together a little edit of clips from recently. Here it is. http://youtu.be/84gbO-K5Q7U I'd love any feedback you've got, positive and negative. Thanks, JN

  7. Put one on. If I didn't have mine, I would have scratched and dented my frame loads. Not a single scratch or dent on it.

  9. Yes, get one. I know someone who works in carbon fabrication professionally and he made me a custom fitted one for my bike, i bash it directly of concrete walls all the time, the protector still doesn't have a scratch after a few months.
  10. Ok. After thinking about it, I'm probably going to end up with a stock. Got pictures of the limey dropouts? I was thinking I'd go vertical as I much prefer sprung tensioners over horizontal dropouts. I was also thinking no seat, we will see haha.
  11. Good point Alex. What would comparable Geo for a stock be? And Scott, no thanks haha.
  12. So you're thinking a stock? That's where I'm heading I think. Any ideas for design or looks?
  13. Hey all. I'm taking welding and machining lessons from a bike builder friend of mine, and he said that eventually (not too long from now) I can make my own trials frame out of some scrap frames and metal he's got. I'll probably be working with steel. I'm just not sure what I am going to make, and am looking for ideas. I was thinking a hybrid(between pure and street) 24" frame with a really out of the box looking design, but since that would require me buying all new components, I was also thinking of building a stock with similar design instead to put on my already built Echo Pure. If anyone's got any ideas, I'm open to them all. Any wheel size, design, geo, and anything else you think could be good. I'll post up some of my designs in this thread as I finish them. thanks JN
  14. Yeah, I'm serious. It's really solid and feels great. I almost wish I was running one haha.
  15. Yeah, even with the small amount of progress I've made towards this while on a pogo stick, I've noticed that my riding has become 3 times smoother, and I also have a lot more fun while riding. Evolve is a great one, I think Contact is my favorite. JJ Gregorowicz is my favorite to watch, so smooth and so powerful! I've met him 3 times, and might be riding with him next weekend if the timing works out. My end goal is to ride this frame as well as Lance Trappe did when he had it, that's going to be quite hard haha!
  16. I really want to learn. I think that it's totally worth it because of how much fun it seems to have been back then, and also maybe I could pass it on to others eventually.
  17. Thanks! Now I've just gotta get it built up haha! My way of thinking, like wanting to learn the "old ways"?
  18. Thanks everyone. I'll watch those videos. This is my frame. It's a WTF frame, made by Frank The Welder. He only made 25, back in 2008. On top of that, this one in particular has a very interesting history. It was owned by Lance Trappe originally, and he set the world record for front wheel hops on it in Cirque Du Soleil. It's got a +15bb, so should be a pretty fun bike to ride. Some people think it's ugly but I personally love it. Here's a picture of Lance riding it in Cirque Du Soleil.
