I was thinking the same thing LOL my apologies. Many spam emails have "I thought this was interesting" as a subject. I didn't know what to write just thought it was amazing how he floated over that car and landed on his feet like a cat. With views you mean youtube views right? Disclaimer: I don't own nor am I affiliated with that channel :-P Nor am I in any way affiliated with Gizmodo ;-)

Heatsink CNC yellows are a dream! Thanks for the tip. Just got Trialtech SL bars, foam grips and Clean snailcams because the trialtech cams were slipping. Bike is now 8.8 kilo. It will take some time for me to trust the bars. As much as I love carbon I told myself I'd never use it for trials. Lets hope I don't regret it...

They have a 26" with rear disc as well. They do look kinda cheap(ish) though.

I didn't build the bike up before I got it coated. I was having problems with the left crank that was making noises before. It wasn't till I fixed that that I was able to even hear the frame tick. A frame that would crack from a powder coating oven shouldn't even be ridden. Especially not trials. It was done by a company that is the best I could find. An industrial powder coater with a separate department for bikes and a specialist that knows bikes well. They also handle all the powder coating for many bike manufacturers including pedalpower.de, the maker of tandem and heavy load transport bikes. Bikes go through a different process there and are baked longer at a lower temp. I've done many parts with them without problems.

Bent Dropout - fixable? + how to remove wheel?

Seems legit. Congrats! -
Bent Dropout - fixable? + how to remove wheel?

I'm not sure but would a mix of both solutions be best? Bend it back a bit and file the rest? And I imagine you'll have to push the wrench in the opposite direction, clockwise instead of counter. Pushing against the top of the dropout opening. You'd leave the wrench wide open of course. Does that make sense? -

Pics? -
LOL Not really, that would be nice though. This took about 20 minutes all together. I usually ride about this time on the weekend

All in one image maybe easier to see. Down tube next to the bb. Right chain stay next to bb. Right seat stay next to bb. Left chain stay next to bb. Left seat stay next to bb.

I was bored so I tried a sound analysis using an iPhone app. Put the mic on different parts of the frame. I've since built the bike back up. You only need to push on the rear wheel from the side with one finger to make it tick. Started at the down tube next to the bb. Right chain stay next to bb. Here it seem the overall frequencies are the loudest. Right seat stay next to bb. Left chain stay next to bb. Left seat stay next to bb.

I'm dreaming up a solution using a tiny gps tracker modified for induction charging as a second line of security. It would only work if the down tube is large enough and has access through the head tube. Its kinda geeky I know, and maybe impractical since you have to make sure you're bike is "charged" LOL

Thats has to be the nicest inspired I've seen so far.

I actually thought about that. For now I'll just wait for a reply from Ozonys and go from there.

When its built up the sound is easier to make just by track standing and leaning the bike to the left and right. How does such a thing get worse? Does it tick louder? I've even heard such frame tick sounds can disappear. But I imagine that would be a bad sign in the case of a crack.

Believe me I didn't take it personally

I want light and strong stuff. And I'm willing to pay the extra money for it to have been tested / designed well enough to be as strong as the heavier stuff. Its the only way I do and it applies to everything. I've been the cheap skate and spent more money in the end. I'm an architect of sorts myself (coder/designer) but I know what it takes to make quality. And I struggle to explain to clients why time is always the factor that makes the difference. So in turn I appreciate things done with passion because it always shows. Thats doesn't mean mistakes aren't made but it does mean the those mistakes are handled with the same passion. And thats worth my money.

You're so so right. I remember when I first started riding, my first bike fell apart quickly. I was a beginner and trials just didn't have the experience with what was a new trend with mod-like stock bikes. Then they got better, most of them were bomb proof. 7075 aluminum started its uprise then parts reached their peak. You could buy almost anything. Then the light frenzy started BB heights went up, frames got thinner, more holes holes and more holes. And while I was still on my Adamant A1 the endless threads of broken frames and forks started.

I'll see what comes back from Ozonys. I really do love the geo, its the only modern frame of its kind. Man up and ride until it maybe or maybe not cracks when I do 7 foot drop? Not me man. Call me a pussy for that, I can live with that. So much planning went into this. Planning a bike to ride for a long time like all my past ones. Each one lasted for years without any problems or me changing a single part. Just today I sent off two boxes of defective parts I was dealing with while building this. So please forgive me if I'm some what pissy and arrogant. Just not happy right now...

No I don't tolerate broke shit especially if it could endanger my health. I don't know yet if powder coating invalidates the warranty. If it does, yes I'll buy a new one. I'll test it because I do learn from my mistakes and I'll powder coat the f**ker again. But thanks for the advice anyways.

Everything I've ever read about the Cannibal says its a strong and durable frame that will outlast many others. Every review, every Cannibal owner I've come across in this forum and OTN all say the same thing using different terms: solid frame. Thats one of the reasons I chose it. I studied up on it for months. But I have to admit, it didn't feel as solid in my hands naked as my echo control did. And built up it had a bit more flex to it as well. But I really love the geo. Can't imagine what I would want as an alternative...

I just wrote Ozonys CC my bike shop and sent the video. Here we go again...

Thanks for that. I obviously know nothing about welding. Any idea if riding the frame with such noises could mean cracking at some point? Heres the video:

From my inspection so far it seems like its metal rubbing against metal, I think where the down tube meets the bb. That could work itself into a crack over time. I've been building bikes since about 18 years and its just not me to tolerate such a thing. Its just not me to tolerate some half baked half broke shit with anything I touch. I don't care who rides with what noises not knowing if theres any more stress being put in their bikes than a retiree puts on their nordic walking sticks. Noises I can handle because I can fix them. But the f**king frame is creaking and thats not supposed to be. Its brand new and I've only ridden it a hand full of times. Really?! So creaking is "acceptable"? Not covered in the warranty?
