bit dizzy now very nice vid, and your choice of lines to use in the vid were good, matt staples showing u dont need a huge section to wow the audience, his first move, manual to wall up-down-up-down-squeaker out :turned: it didnt have the feel of "just another street video" - every move pulled with style and looked so dialled 1:26 - loved that section so smooth! nothing outragously big but very sweet from 2:06 - the 20" in the park (that i almost thought was the tricks and stunts ghetto park) all lines just nailed without a breath (literally that fast across the tyres) thats a welcome addition to the collection ta muchly

pro2 front hub is in the pipeline i believe, no idea on the stage of development but trialnoir has/had one and ive seen a few other test ones. but single speed specific front hub?? not sure what u mean but single speed only applies to your gears and hence only rear hub. very very light hub, send questions ash's (trialsnoir) way, he'll help.

looks like a fun course the balance beams would have scared the poop out of me, especially at night because the net wouldnt have been as visible

because the pistons move so little in the brake they build up a little dirt, brake should work fine after you clean it. take ur pads out place flat blade screw driver (or similar) holding one piston in and press lever in (may help if u turn bike upside down and then use ur foot on lever - thats what i did) clean the piston that moves out with a rag or something then put some silicon lube on it repeat for other piston i didnt use silicon lube, cleaning piston sorted mine out. pump lever to regain feel hope this helps (no pun intended)

ah the days when everyone had 56k and you waited aout a week for a "long" vid (about a minute long). i still have them all and watch the regularly. definitely agree with steve-A they shouldnt ride long low silver, dave had a levelboss for a while, not sure what WB it was though. they got me into the sport and made me wish i'd never moved away from huddersfield, could have ended up riding with them (but i can keep dreaming lol). they pioneered the street scene if you ask me, them and waynio's trialsrider.com lads. always remember when they competed for the best lines and best made vids, i still have most of their old vids too. big thanks to james for making the vids so watchable and ageless. anyone still grab their arse during the korn video?!?!? (Y)

yes mark there is a pro2 and a pro2 T, as the first post of this topic did say, and he was asking what the pro2 was for, so i answered him. davetrials by rolls royce i mean the AEROPLANE engine manufacturer not the flash car company, the vast number of employees dont have any contact with the public, you've got to know your stuff to work there.

thats a classic! where did u find it?

right lads im gettin well and truely fed up with this crap about hope's new hub. trailnoir (aka ash) has the final proto of the hub on his bike, there have been no less than 6 models of the hub, and various ratchet set ups tested within the hub. they all broke on the other test bike (rik duckworth) in spectacular fashion. would u want a product rushed out that doesnt work? the hub has completely changed from one with 72 ep to the final design of 48 ep. and trust me its very good. me and ash live in barnoldswick where hope are based and ash has been working closely with the designers. he is not some joke of a rider he is also an engineer at rolls royce, and a damn good one, he knows his stuff. the pro2 hub is a lightweight hub designed for the usual XC type of riding, but being hope it'll be good for other types. it seems that perhaps hope have been to quick letting news of this hub development go to press and have got a few people rather excited about it. be mature and just wait for it, stop slagging hope off. they have to get products right or it'll cost them lots in aftercare/recalls etc. if you want info on it ring hope and ask them nicely, if they dont want to tell u they dont have to, if u read mbuk this month (the 06 stuff mag) the pro2 is in there. it is coming out. they arent a big company and so idea-release period takes longer (setting machines for batch production etc). pm trialnoir he will answer all questions as best he can on here, but to be honest hope arent letting anyone know release date as yet. sorry for ranting on but there is no need for some of the comments that have been made, not just in this topic, but previous ones.

just be thankful you've got a replacable mech hanger! its what they are there for, id rather snap one of them (ok some can be as much as £20 to replace) than bend or snap a frame. mech hangers are there to snap and bend. none of this replacable nonsense on my frame hmmmm, bent it back a good few times, trusty steel

yep look for trialnoir he knows everything there is to know about this hub (except how to ride it - just kidding ash)
-
riding since march :( thats impressive! i would say the pics look good in sequence like that, below one another would have ruined the section imo. plus using the scroll bar at the bottom of your browser is surprisingly easy!

had a koxx rim in to where i work it looked very poorly made (this was not the new models so i dont knwo if they have changed it) the drilled out bits were so close to the holes for the spokes there was no more than 1mm of metal in places. the rim looked cheap, but after me mate built it up it has been fine so far and has been abused beyond the normal realms of some riders. wheel strength is pretty dependant on the build quality, my mate built this wheel 4 cross to give it more strength and it looked nice when done

niiiice vid dave, good mix of street and natural and the variation in moves shows just how good an all round rider you are, not a one trick pony by any means. definitely old school in there and there is nowt wrong with that. those rock sections look so much fun to ride, where are they? easy to watch video and that bike stands out a mile. ps is that my old RB booster still going strong

if everything is tight then ur seals are gone. dont bodge a hope brake its not worth it they are so good with after care service they would sort your brake out for u! dont over tighten your reservoir bolts or ul ruin the diaphragm and that ruins the brake feel which if u have really tightened these bolts as u say u have then thats what has happened hence the crap feeling of your brake now. ring/email hope and explain whats going on with your brake, it will no doubt be easily sorted, however the silicon sealer wont go down too well with any of the guys there!! the avid cable brake on my mates bike just doesnt feel right to me, and they are far to clumsy looking for my liking. get your hope sorted PROPERLY you wont regret it. take your reservoir cap off, look at your diaphragm, if it looks like this ) (curvey) then u need a new one, if it looks like this | (perfectly flat) its fine

pretty nice vid! those parks look amazing i wanna ride there.some of that stuff was massive but every move was as smooth as the next. nice to see a pro on a bike that isnt silver too (Y)

pashley is about as snappy as you'll get if ur wanting street style bunny hops etc because its arelatively short frame. i do actually like the ride feel of the echo control (04 model) think its nice in the 1065 length i find it very sluggish to pull up to bunny hop though. i ride a pashley 26ghz at the moment and yes they are relatively heavy but it does depend a lot on your component choice. the frame itself is bang on 5lbs which is lgihter than the alu t-rex (by 2lbs i think), the front end of mine is very light with echo hi-fi forks ex721 on hope xc wheel azonic dw bars and hope stem (90mm). back end is heavier this is due to the tyre (tioga fat 66 pro thingy) and the DH tube i got in there. it isnt much heavier than a couple of my mates bikes (zoo pitbull 04 and control 04) one final point is that different geometry can make the bike feel lighter, before gettin a new frame try a longer stem and wider bars (eg brisa) this helped me on my orange zero, gave more balance and leverage.

skatepark looks fun! some good moves going down, droppin into fakie, pretty sweet. music.........hmmmm :$
-
ive always ridden in skate shoes but am also considering the move because the soles dont seem to last long enough. sorry to jump in on the thread but whats the soles wear rate like?
-
yep pretty sure he'll do it, but he will do try hard to dissuade u from it.
-
now now this is comments to the public not each other just remembered a classic townie girl to my mate pushing his bike with a puncture "hahaha flat tyre" ed "haha flat chest" touchee
-
yeah they let him go well they got 12 helly hanson jackets in, but on counting them they only had 8, and hadnt sold any, not the best of luck :S even if the needle has nowt on it they could inject air into your blood stream and ur still screwed!
-
slightly OT but along the same lines my mate works for a bike shop and they caught this guy nicking a jacket. when they stopped him he seemed fine and cooperating until they rang the police: he then whips out a needle and treatens the guys behind the counter with it. now i know this is true, how scared would you be!!! may not seem as scary as a knife at first glance but u think about the stereotype of the guys who tend to have needles (excluding doctors, diabetics etc etc before some smart arse says owt) and then think how bad it would be in the worst case scenario. madness

this was on saturday i found a smashed in fiesta and decided to hop around on it, all windows smashed, roof caved in, right mess in all honesty. so i decided to play and after 2 mins this guys says... "hey, whats your game?" i replied "im riding on this car" then he looked kinda bemused that i stated the obvious "thats someones property u know" "oh really i thought it was only good for scrap" "oh no, someone is coming for it" "well if its someones i'll leave it alone" "good idea sonny..." (bearing in mind im 21 i didnt like that comment "...or you'll end up carrying the can for destroying someones property" "oh i doubt that" at this point he decided to get on his moral high ground "well if the police come they are liekly to blame you for this, after all what you are doing is illegal, i think its best you go home and stop destroying our lovely village" this really pissed me off: where i live is a dump, full of townies, and has nothing much going for it, and come on it wasnt me who put the car there, so i fumed at him, "look, if the police turn up they are hardly likely to assume i destroyed this car, my finger prints arent on it, i have no radio in my possession. i think they are more likely to shout at me for not reporting it. if you saw people jumping on it and throwing bricks through the windows i doubt you would have said anything, but because im on my own you feel you are coing your civic duty. lets face it this car will be declared a write off by the insurance, you and i both know that, so give up having a go at my hobby and do something about the underage drinking that goes on around here, say something to them, not someone who is 6 months from gaining a degree" "cocky little git arent you" "actually, im just confident in voicing my opinion, and im taller than you!" made me feel better anyway :S
