Ryan Leech Demo's In The Uk!?!?
Jonny Jones replied to haydon_peter's topic in Member Organised Rides
I totally agree. He's been a massive inspiration to me and has made me enjoy riding more, but he is in a league of his own. Nobody can come close... imo. J. -
Awesome mate! Glad I could be of help  You were riding incredibly well today at the DJ ride, impressive fo'shizzle! J.

Erm, well, I thought people downloaded it when it came out and that was that. I cant imagine people would still be downloading it now surely? Stop avin' a go :P :bunny: + Why am I ur avatar? :) J.

I thought the entire TM1 was quite good... getting old now, infact no it was pretty poop, could have been better. So yea, I recon Volume 7 - cos it was so different from all the others. 16:9 ay? Wonder where that came from? :P :) Jonny.

Guess it shows how tight or unintersted Koxx are in their market, probably couldnt see it as an investment and a MASSIVE marketing tool. Good luck with the next candidates <_< Jonny.
-
What would you suggest then? <_< Hang on, this thread isnt about me, its about Phil's video, anybody who wants to give me their ideas for better vids - msn@trialmedia.co.uk Jonny.
-
Errm, fair enough mate, your opinion of me.. but I wasnt basing any of what I said on me in total. I was just suggesting how Phil could have made the video a bit better... like I said all technical stuff. What would you suggest to me to make my videos better apart from filming and editing? Id honestly love to know cos I think everybody likes to get better at what they do <_< Jonny.

Riding was sick, video itself could have been loads better, just my opinion though. Really its technical things. First, try changing the lens every now and again, and also, on the camera, turn steady shot off - this stops the netting (black ring) from jumping all over the place on the edge of the frame (video). When you do stills, like for titles and things, (this is if you're using Premiere), right click (ctrl + click if using a Mac, which I don't think you are) on the clip you want to take a still from, go to Video Options, then click Field Options. Make sure 'Deinterlace' is ticked - you will see what I mean when you're in the window. Then take the still from the video clip using the TIFF image format (this can be selected in the frame export settings) - using this process will give you a sharper image with no lines across the screen like you had loads in the video. :D I know I used it in one of my videos (it was experimental), but its a personal dislike of mine for people to use the image pan (zooming into the video) - it reduces quality and makes the video look cheap, which it clearly isn't cos loads of effort has gone into it  I also thought there was a little too much advertising in there. People know its from Select Bikes... so I reckon it doesn't need that repetitive confirmation of source :S :D So apart from those niggly little things that I (just me) think could be improved on, the riding was fekin' off the rails! :D Keep it up guys! Jonny.

Sorry to go off topic, but streamlinenet say 'Unlimited' but they actually mean '30gb of bandwidth per month'. If you go over, you get an email. A mate has been with them before and had nothing but sh*t from them. But if you've not had any problems, then cool  Jonny.

If plan B fails, which I hope it doesnt cos any company would be stupid not to take TS on, then I really dont know what's gonna happen to trials based media on the net. TS has provided a legendary service and I for one dont know what I could have done without it. Simon, you'll always be THE man of the media world and I wish you every luck in getting the companies you've contacted into getting on board with the shack'! Jonny.

I didn't intentionally bashguard the wall hehe... but i put a manual thing at the end of it that looked cool so I put it in the video... cant believe you hate the sound of bashguards... is it me or is that kinda... well, sad?... UCI born and bread huh :) Jonny.

Im coming, I would prefer a bbq as well, not a fan of pork :) But dont get one on my behalf! I would feel too guilty! Should be a good day, lets hope the weather behaves! Jonny.

Sounds good mate :) Jonny.

I thought the video overall was ok. I've learnt one lesson through the years, always try and change lenses and try adventurous camera angles... just try and be a bit more artistic. Some of the clips could have been edited down slightly as well. But overall, it reflected a sweet day's riding, and everybody was clearly having a laugh, so all good! Personally, I dont have a prob with quicktime. As soon as I get myself a PowerBook, i'm sure a lot of my vids will be .mov or .mp4, depending on wat Final Cut Pro will allow me to do. Keep it up! Jonny.

Thanks again for the comments! As for the sus, its kinda nice to bump, really smooth, doesn't hurt your arms/wrists as much as rigids... if they did in the first place that is! T1, thats prob going back to Drummond, as it was his frame in the first place! Oasis, Steve dude, hehe, Im starting to listen to them again! Got some mint tracks and it seems they are not used very much at all for soundtracks to videos, so I think they're gonna be used in TM2 when its eventually made along with the site! Im sure the video will make you like the band... then again it prob wont haha, opinion are opinions! Thanks man! Jonny.

Thanks for the comments! (Y) I have tried the Leeson with the Pashley's but I hated the riding position, so low. So I wacked the sus on, they are Marzocchi MX Comp Air's btw (80mm, or they might be 85mm, not sure :) ), and the bike feels so much nicer! Should be able to ride a lot better now (Y) ... here's hoping at least! Thanks! Jonny.
-
Somebody asked me to make a short video of me on my new Leeson. So here's one I put together. I was riding in 32 Degrees of heat for the majority of this video, didnt get much cooler in the evening - this was all filmed yesterday btw. So please excuse the sweat! Click Here Jonny.

You've got my details(y) Come on people! Jonny.

Jonny Jones replied to gateeight's topic in Videos
Preferred the first clip myself. What was all that racket that you probably call 'music'? Some nice lines non-the less, bet the finished video will be super ill. Jonny. -
Erm... Pug 1.6 I believe... no way could he afford an Alfa! Dunno where you heard that! (Y) Jonny.
-
Sorry, must have not seen your post... Colour coding well, cant really do much about it.. just about afforded the frame, fork, headset, cranks, bb and the pashleys that came with the frame. There's not a lot one can do in this situation but yea, I respect your opnion (Y) Jonny.
-
Yea its Deano's old frame, XTR cranks, C2 headset and seat. He's a legend. He needed the money for his XC bike. Jonny.

Thing is mate, people have said 'they are sooo heavy'... but they're actually not that heavy at all. Well, to me they're not. Other people, when riding my bike, might think otherwise. Only a fraction heavier than, say, Tuf Guys. Plus ive been using suspension for about 6 months now, maybe more? Jonny.
