Oh sorry yeah forgot to say I got it in the post, subscriber, but I think it will be the last subscription I take out, simply cant be arsed with it each month, nowt interesting in it, and 2 pages for Trials a month, surely we're worth more than that! See first post for edited scan of page etc. JJ.

Hey just got the new MBUK today and there's a great write-up of the DJ ride in Abingdon! Some ace photos and generally a decent write-up! Just wanted to say props to Mike for doing all the work! There's also Martyn commenting on how experienced riders get annoyed with younger riders for asking questions on how to do tricks when they're new and learning - that's in his monthly column, I'll let you people go and buy the mag now hehe! Click the image to enlarge it. Jonny.

Ive got the W810i. JJ.

Well I downloaded that and still doesnt want to play ball properly. Cheers though dude, much appreciated! Jonny.

This is incredible. Downloaded it on my PC downstairs, found those K-Lite Codecs and it STILL doesn't want to play properly. Oh well I think ill give up on this, however WMP did infact display it in 16:9. Sorry for all the moaning but I just get excited about anybody doing stuff in HD and I get frustrated when I can't watch it. Sometimes you can't win lol! Jonny.

How does one ride one's bicycle like that? Sick sick sick sick tricks mate! J.

Sounds interesting but its no help without the proper name for the pack, ill have a search for it though, cheers. I think a point worth making is that theres no point in making a video unless you know that it will run on anybody's computer, maybe summot to think about next time, ive just found this all a but frustrating haha, damn those Macs JJ.

Around about a grand or so I recon!? +/- I need to clear up, was this video widescreen or 4:3 (square)? JJ.

Ahh ok! Im not too familiar with that cam, must be quite new, looks good though! For those who are wondering, this is the camera that was used... Jonny.

Wicked choice dude! What camera did you buy? Canon or Sony? Model? From the posts others have made it appears im not alone with tech issues, the video wouldn't play properly on my computer. Im not sure whether it was my player (was using WMP 9 Series for Mac) but the video wasn't widescreen (HDV is native 16:9) and so was out of perspective. I also tried VLC, Flip4Mac and Democracy player, none of them were having anything to do with the video unfortunately! I cant really comment on the editing cos it was really jumpy overall, there was no consistent frame rate - I really think this is the problem with HD videos for the net, if its a REALLY high bitrate, such as this video, it doesn't play so well. This is partly the reason why I compress my HDV videos down to 640 x 360 H264 .mov files - keeps it in perspective and perfectly watchable - although it won't look as good as HUGE files like this one. The riding looked out of this world (in terms of big-ness), I really think you must be one of, if not, the strongest Trials rider out there, props! I'll certainly look forward to your next video, hopefully I'll be able to watch it properly as well haha! Jonny.

Hmm odd. Depends how old the car is I guess, mines an S (1998) Reg, where its kept (mines on the driveway), where you live, blah blah. Its also a GLS so its got power steering, elec windows and wing mirrors, airbag, sunroof etc, I dunno insurance is odd but theres always little things that bump it up. But im happy to be honest, when i started driving I was paying £1,800+. JJ.

Yes! I actually got an iPod (80gb/Black) last week (Graduation present) so ive got a few artists on there, a few: Zero 7, Sneaker Pimps, Oasis, AFI, Bob Dylan, Wu-Tang, 88 Fingers Louie, Dillinger 4 (think Evolve), Alternative TV, Ramones, Aphex Twin, Arctic Monkeys, Bad Religion, BRAINTAX, Clint Mansell (Pi Soundtrack), Deftones, DJ Shadow, Unkle, Dogwood, Feeder, Guns n Wankers (think Manifesto), Jamiroquai, Jehst, Jose Gonzalez, The Lambs, Massive Attack, Moby, Orbital, Paul Van Dyke, Pixies, The Postal Service, Queens of the Stone Age, Radiohead, Rise Against, Roni Size, Roots Manuva, Samiam, Thrice, The Shins, Simply Cryptic (think Our Summer lol), The Streets, Teriyaki Boyz (think Tokyo Drift), Wire, Wolfmother, Zion I. Ive also found a program called PodTube that converts any video on YouTube into an iPod compatible video - very handy, just type in sexy girls dancing and you're good for the night hahaha! :$ So far ive only found it available for the Mac. Jonny.

5.98 overall, most of that came from home heating and travel. Quite impressive how they can work it all out! JJ.

My first car (still driving it after about 6 years or so) was/is a Corsa B. 1ltr 12v. Ive got 5 years no claims now and just renewed my insurance today for £271 fully comp in my name with Direct Line, awesome company. Only downside is that its got no power (55bhp I think) so struggles up hills (but ive had an 11 sec 0-60 time out of it which isnt too bad I guess), it handles like a bag of soil (unless you upgrade the suspension and wheels which is pointless as its a Corsa and im sure you wouldn't want to become a stereotype overnight haha) - but its quite good on fuel consumption and is super reliable, has only failed to start once two years ago when the battery died, AA sorted that within an hour (was a Sunday morning lol). But yeah, all comes down to what you can afford. Best of luck mate, but yeah Id recommend a Corsa for your first car, purely cos of the reliability and MPG traits... or a 306 TD, from the looks of other posts lol. Jonny.

This is the short video he's recently made. He used to ride 20" but this is only the 6th time he's ridden a 26". He's not yet a member/validated, hence the reason im posting on his behalf. Im sure he'd appreciate any comments! Jonny.

Beast! Loved that dude! Music went really well and for some reason the rider reminded me of the guy in Monkey Style 2 who did nothing but do 180's down large stair sets, similar sort of style I guess! Wicked! JJ.
-
Haha sorry dude, never mind, I guess we'll prob just ride Farnham or summot if nothing turns up, we're playing it by ear etc. JJ.
-
Yeah I managed to get 4 hours or so of footage which I plan on editing next week sometime between commuting to London everyday for a Uni show we're doing. Ive also been sorting hard drives out as I ran out of space, so bare with me and it'll be up as soon as I can get it all together! Cheers gain to Sue and Charlie, hope you liked Our Summer, hopefully you got it to play ok! Jonny.

Myself and Sam (SAMWELL) were gonna head to Pompy for the day with another dude, but hes pulled out so its just me and Sam, but we cant really be bothered if its just the two of us, so is there anybody else planning on riding there/available? Jonny.

I had a Kenko fisheye (.37x) for my old camcorder. Was pretty robust and was about £49.99 from my local camera shop in Farnham. Most lenses come with step-up/down rings so if the lens has a slightly different sized thread on it compared to your camcorder, its never really an issue. Be prepared to put up with vignettes (black rings) with these fisheyes, zooming in slightly gets rid of it, but then u loose some of the frame. Maybe consider a 0.5x wide angle lens if this might be a problem for you. Jonny.

Yeah hes late 40's i think. Granted he has been having a lot of problems with his turbo and manifold! Those BTTF cars are just replicas, not very accurate but they do cost a fortune to put together and to be able to make a 'bolt-on, bolt-off' kit is hard also. JJ.

Haha! I see your in South End, theres a guy called Tony who owns a De Lorean who lives there, dunno if you've seen him driving around. J.

I just do haha J.
