Beast video, sick riding! The level of riding in this country is getting stupidly good!
-
Im there! Be good to see you again mate after your injured ankle!
-
LMAO ye it was great, a few people commented on it on the Bristol ride. Trials fashion ***.

Yo! Thanks for the kind words dude! All the 'standard' shots were shot using a 0.5x wide lens. The A1 without a 0.5x lens gets barely anything in frame, the Carl Zeiss lens simply isn't as wide as, say, the standard lens you get on an XM2. Bit of a shame but the 0.5x is pretty flawless until you zoom ALL the way in, then its goes 'frosty'. Century actually do an HD version of the Death lens which is meant to have limited distortion but still keeps the super-wide look the lens is famous for. But as far as I know they only do it in 72mm, for the Z1 and maybe the Panasonic HVX-200, altho im not sure what thread size the Panny' has. So as for my camera with its 37mm thread im having to just use the Baby Death, but don't get me wrong I'm always stoked on the lens as you can get some sick shots with it, especially when you least expect it, like the shot when I was running after John during his rolling line in Bristol, his front wheel came quite close and cos of the lens made it look pretty sweet, I thought anyway hehe! Thanks for all the comments people, chuffed

I just played it in VLC, QuickTime was having none of it, worked fine - but I did have to shrink the frame slightly to fit on my 20" widescreen monitor (not HD res).
-
Cheers for all the comments lads! Chuffed you all like it so much Obviously im not a great fan of riding without a helmet as I have mine on all the time, but obviously its the riders choice at the end of the day if they choose not to wear one. I would have liked to have more of a lot of riders but injuries suck and this is why ive not been able to film as much as I would have liked! Thanks again peeps!

Just watched both videos! The urban one in Milan (Milano is Milan right?) was mint, great riding and some crazy editing haha. The other one where all the rocks were was good but didn't have a lot of pace, but still good to see everything in HD. Dunno why but I was expecting better visual quality from the Canon. BUT im putting that down to the fact that the videos were obviously compressed web versions of the edits you did. Good work though, cheers for sharing!

Thats odd! Guy who was on my Uni course told me that a camera man in the states bought three HV20's after selling his bigger HD camera (cant remember which one it was) purely because they recorded 720p. At least I think thats what my mate said! But yeah, ive always thought the Canon's were just XM2's with the HDV codec machine added! We shall see! Vids are still downloading haha!
-
Downloading the ones you suggested at the moment! Im interested to see what the quality is like from the Canon camera, ive seen these on camcorderinfo.com but Ive not seen any impressive footage, just some messing around stuff from the demo stand at the camera/broadcast show in the states.

Thanks man!! My camera is a Sony HVR-A1E Those clips you talk of could well be the one Simpson organised, but I really cant remember! Thanks to those who have commented so far, means a lot, cheers peeps!
-
Yeah I wanna make another one as well haha! I just seem to have less time to ride these days, sucks so much!
-
Sick video! What frame was that out of interest?
-
Have to agree. I found I couldn't 'see' what you were riding if you know what I mean! Cheers for posting it though!

Hey people! Just made a new video from clips I've gathered since around the start of this year. Similar structure to TM2... sort of, different sections for the different cities/locations. http://tv.isg.si/site/filebrowser/jonnyjones3 - MISC2007.mov QuickTime, H.264 | 182mb Riders include: - Fred Judd - Adam Bessell - Phil Feeney - John Shrewsbury - Nick Goddard - Jack Meek - Michael Singleton - Andy Chai - Matt Staples - Claret (dude from Brazil) - Lee McCaw (also stars some of Lee's awesome phone dialogue collection) - Some singing from Spode - A very impressed drunk/foreign guy in London ..think thats about it! I would have loved to have done way more filming up to now but due to injuries this hasn't happened, but there should be enough in this video to keep you all satisfied, hopefully! As usual you'll need the latest QuickTime player or VLC player or any other player out there that plays H.264/AAC videos, im sure you're all geared up by now haha! Any comments appreciated! Cheers!

Phil Feeney's Edit 5 + Edit 7. Rowan and Boon's latest vids. All of G Unit's efforts, so much originality and style. Plus the REALLY early biketrials.com videos and TrialsKings videos - these got me into filming/editing full stop.
-
They basically went through DJ Shadow and UNKLE's new album for that episode, the 'film' at least. Good episode, some shocking bits of in-car footage from Hammond's Porshe though, makes me wonder how they can use the footage... although they probably didn't have time to re-shoot it etc. Loved the bit where they were driving through that tunnel, nice sequence that.
-
Yeah not bad mate:) Glad you got out ok... altho id hate to be fined £195 for anything haha!
-
Yeah its Phil in the suit, the suit is worth hundreds of thousands of dollars! + Phil's fee lol
-
Liking this site Dan! Also good to see a flash video player!
-
Good luck mate! Like I said in Bristol, just be remorseful - no doubt you will anyway!
-
I think I should come this time haha! I also need to return my crutches to A+E, ive had them a good few months lol! Plus I want to make a video ive done barely any editing in the last few months, see you all there.

Ask for some compensation cos of the injury... or ask for a raise or something like that, take time out to get better properly then go back to it. Thats all I can really think of

Who you gonna call? The sick tricks police. Nice one!

In my opinion you'll be hard pushed to find Magura 4 bolt mounts on any suspension fork. When I had my Leeson I put a pair of Marzocchi MX Comp forks on. They had 80 or 85mm of travel, cant remember which one, but they were wicked! Could get good flow out of them for tricks and, im sure in your case, jumping etc. I ran a disc on them, probably the best option if im honest. Couldn't see them on CRC where I got mine from but I did an ebay search - http://search.ebay.co.uk/search/search.dll...rzocchi+MX+Comp
