Awesome riding throughout! Like the shadow shots on the rocks, very creative! Like the Knight Rider remix too haha!

I had iWeb but couldn't be bothered with it haha! Good effort mate!

Good stuff dude!! One question, has your film been projected a few times, landed on the floor (carpet?) and been reeled back up again? Cos there was a LOT of crap all over the film - or did you put that on, filters etc? Because of the way my projector is, I dont have a choice but to let the film unreel through the projector (as normal) and then onto the floor - I dont have a second plastic reel to catch the film. So I get a piece of kitchen towel and hold the film as I reel it back up onto the... reel haha. If that makes sense. So that way I get rid of any fine hairs or specks of dirt. If you think this has happened to your film, give it a go! Im not sure if the DVD is happening but I would like to do another one! I want to go further afield and spread filming over the year rather than just confining it to the summer. Work and money will ultimately be the deciding points to whether or not I'll end up doing it! Cheers peeps!

Seven?! Jammy git lol!

Dont think ive seen that either! Wicked riding, shame about some of the filters you put on some of the clips, but experimentation is experimentation. Made me laugh a bit though, you weren't actually riding an Ashton were you?
-
You have to understand that I was using my normal camera to get most of the riding footage, of which you all saw in MISC 2007. I would have got more actual riding if I had the Super8 camera out more, sorry for the disappointment. Oh, and yes, I did get an A for Media, that was about 4 and a bit years ago! Im under the impression a lot of people don't understand. Like some of the clips in Rowan's Ridden video, this was shot on FILM, not MiniDV and gay filters applied, this is film shot on a 1970's cine camera and projected using a 1970's projector, very old skool lol! Completely appreciate that 80% of people didn't like it or don't like arty farty stuff like this but I thought I would just be a little clearer. More info on Super 8 film here. Cheers peeps

Mint Dave! I'll be getting one in the new year I think! Don't have the cash atm.

Not sure what you mean, there were no effects

To answer some questions (cheers for the comments btw). As mentioned at the end of the video, the tune is Portishead 'Pedestal' from their album 'Dummy' - as somebody mentioned used on a Select Bikes video which I really can't remember but thats fair enough lol! Camera wise its a Sankyo LXL125 (I think) and its a lazy person's camera as it shoots 18fps (even though this film came out like it was shot at more frames per sec as everything was sped up a bit), maybe also cos I kept having to smack the camera as the shutter kept jamming for some reason. Its also auto exposure and auto everything else, but I did get it for £4.99 from ebay so its done well haha! Rowan, yeah the Widescreen Centre is still going strong. Its £23 for a reel of Ektachrome 64 colour film - this includes processing, so you just have to send a cheque for £2 in the post when you send the film to be processed, this is for postage back to you. The black and white isn't processed paid and so this was a little more expensive - £13.98 for the film and £12.90 for the processing - bloody expensive! In future I want to get a Braun Nizo camera and maybe try and shoot some of this properly and include it in a video or perhaps another DVD if I make one next year. Also, yeah did the transfer myself (film projected onto a wall, recorded onto MiniDV for those interested). The tripod head cudda been a little more straight/level but its always hard to get it all lined up as you probably know! Another note on the editing, like I said a few posts back, very little editing. All the craaaaazy </craig david> cuts where made in camera as the film started and stopped - I had no idea it would come out like this but still, all interesting stuff. Again, ta for the comments. I knew there would be mixed opinions
-
Very naice! Good one jack!
-
Fair enough dude! Thing is, there's very little editing in it, I literally put the Trialsy stuff on a timeline, all the cutting was done with the camera, start/stopping of the film. Sounds similar to TM1 I guess Ash, but nope, not used that Portishead track before.

Well I've waited ages for these two reels to come back from the Widescreen Centre but it was the postal strike that held everything up. But anyway, I shot a black and white reel and a colour one. This video is a mixture of all the Trials bits that I filmed. Includes Woking, London, DJ Ride in Oxford, a few setup shots of the Theatrical Stunt Show I filmed in Cornwall and some random shots of when I was editing the Extreme Sports Channel spot on Hook Woods. Overall it has a sort of experimental feel but my camera started to break towards the end of the colour reel so thats why everything is a bit all over the place! Thanks for the comments guys! Adam, I'll mention to Alex about the bleed valve! 0-60 time well, its prob around 5 or 6 secs? I don't know for sure. Just a fun little car really!
-
I thought about posting this in the 'post pics of your car' thread, but I'm kinda proud of this video and I wanted to share it, so I started a new thread, hopefully you will all think this was worth it. A couple of you may have been aware that I was working on this, but its all finished and I'm pretty happy with it. Basically my mate Alex has a Fiat Cinquecento Sporting with a Turbo conversion originally developed by Van Aakan, and its such a fun car to drive and be a passenger in so I decided to make a promo of it - partly because Alex wanted a video of it for his myspace/facebook profile and also because I wanted an excuse to use all of my camera kit. So, the video! MySpace - http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=...ideoid=22428830 You can also download a high-res version from my website (go easy on this one, don't want all the bandwidth eaten haha! - ive run out of space on the tv.isg.si account and dont wanna open a new one) - Right Click Save As Hope you all enjoy it! Any feedback / criticism or anything else welcome!

I have full respect for Tarty and Select, but this site looks miles better than both these websites. Good work mate!!

Tune! Mad mad mad. Serious control there mate! Nice one!

So far tonight Ive done a rough cut of a new video im working on. Not Trials, but no doubt I'll post it in Chit Chat next week some time!
-
Shit. I swapped work days to work the 18th instead of the 17th, had no idea this ride was going on. Have a good one!

Premiere 6.5 is what I used to use. Erm if you right click on clips - video options - field options - tick 'flicker removal' = this will deinterlace the clips, I cant remember/dont know if theres a quicker way round this in 6.5 but this will deinterlace all the clips and when you export you wont have interlacing.

I dont think ive seen a crane used in a trials video... apart from maybe some of Leech's DVD segments, but as far as web videos go maybe not. Colour wise, yeah I wacked the saturation up, as well as the whites and lowered the blacks - creating immense contrast. Ex-Tube wise, I just contacted the producers saying would they like content, they said yes, so I tried to get some good stuff at Hook Woods. Took them over a month to write the footage into the program, script wise etc. So hopefully I can get some more clips/spots together, send them in, get more Trials on the TV! Cheers man!

Thats better!! Should have just released that in the first place haha! Where are people ordering this from? Or is it staring me in the face!? Found the ordering page... looks like all the orders (even international) are gonna be NTSC? Think we should MAYBE wait until Chilli or CRC gets hold of some copies, then they should be official PAL versions - or I could be totally wrong and they might work fine!
-
There you go mate! It was on Ex-Tube again today!
-
- there u go dude! Camera wise I have a Sony HVR-A1E - HDV/DVCAM camcorder. Cheers for the comments people!!!

From what I could make out really good quality! From the other videos im guessing Panny' DVCPro HD. Ive not really seen much footage from these cameras so im liking the clarity. Only BIG moan is why the f**k has he limited this great HD footage to Flash and such a stupidly small window/frame size - I know he's trying to make it accessible but its just ridiculous. Im waiting for Simon to reply on how the usability on the site needs to be completely re-done! I'm sure clients don't want to be searching around for navigation! Like Ali said though, I liked the slo-mo! Very smooth!

Good effort putting the video together, but I found it really quite loud (even when the volume was turned down on my computer) and it just seemed to be all over the place editing wise, so I had to stop watching it half way through, sowwwy!!! But it does take bloody ages to travel, set the camera up, ride the line(s), travel home, capture the footage and put it all together and so for all of that nice one for putting the effort in
