Hi mate yeah it will be fine. Just set the scratch disc to your 750gb Lacie drive. Only thing is you may notice a bit of lagging when playing back footage due to the USB connection and not a SATA connection. I mean HDV is the same bitrate as DV as you probably know, but I use AIC when cutting HDV footage and this is anything up to three times the size file size wise as digitised HDV footage - so if you're gonna be using AIC or any other codec apart from solely HDV the lagging will be more noticeable. But yes, haha, it will work

I fully realise im not the only person who works with cameras (what a thing to say!?) but I just thought your statement was heavily generalised and a little OTT thats all! Ive worked in a few professional atmospheres using a variety of tape-based cameras and Ive never experienced any problems like the above. The camera in question might be pretty old, which would explain the problems perhaps.

Bit of a stereotype to be honest but its totally valid, so its basically somebody or a group of anti-social idiots who think its funny to 'start' on people - ie start fights etc... Also those who have poor taste in cars and yet still feel the need to spend thousands on homosexual bodykits etc. There's so many definitions out there, thats just my 5 pence worth, be interesting to see what other people define them as! Utter rubbish. Its probably like you said though, something is getting in the way, dust anybody no? Also yes, charge it up a bit... or just plug the mains in and operate it that way.

My first car was a 1998 S reg Vauxhall Corsa, 1.0ltr 12v 55bhp - and shockingly I still have it 6 or so years later. However I do have a Volvo 740 2.3ltr Estate sitting on the driveway that im sort of slowly restoring, although I'll probably end up selling it. f**king hate Corsa's. I would advise getting something below a 1.4 for your first car, at least for the first year. You will crash otherwise, just my experience and what ive seen/heard. You learn how to drive after you've passed your test, so you really don't want anything too pokey.
