The process might use differing sound frequencies for each ear. This can alter (scientifically 'proven') your brainwave state. You can move to the ranges of alpha, delta and theta, from beta (you spend most of your waking hours in beta). I might assume though, if I'm correct about the technique, that any 'cocaine' effect will probably encourage beta. Differing sound frequency can also have the effect of "balancing" the two brain hemispheres, creating allignment whereby your perception alters. Interestingly, western culture has been shown to emphasise left brain functioning/thinking (analytical, conceptual, etc.). Therefore, any enhanced realisation or usage of right brain functioning (emotional, creative, etc.) has the potential of shifting perception and experience, especially in the sense of its novelty. I've used sound frequency technology, as have friends, and we have experienced many interesting effects that you might relate to drugs in the sense of shifting perception. Funnily enough though, everything shifts perception, therefore everything is a drug (in some sense), including pizza or lemonade. Food for thought... I think it is very possible that a placebo effect can be the foundation of a certain experience. I certainly don't deny the power of belief. I guess that's where science becomes useful because, eventually and hopefully, it transcends belief/desire. If anyone is really interest in this stuff, you might want to check out 'hemi-sync'. I highly recommend it as the lazy man's meditation/altered state experience

"All things are true in some sense, false in some sense, meaningless in some sense, true and false in some sense, true and meaningless in some sense, false and meaningless in some sense and true, false and meaningless in some sense" - Malaclypse the Younger

Absolutely superb Mike I always really enjoy your photos.

I'm sorry for your friends. I had a friend whose friends used to go and beat people up for fun. They'd cruise around at night looking for vulnerable individuals sometimes using baseball bats. I think people like that must feel pretty shit with themselves in order to be so destructive. Hope their injuries heal asap.

Sweet photos Dan. As the last person said, I find the first tree tapping photo to stand out the most

It just did though, albeit through your reaction. I think it's more likely to occur than not when the relationship exists. Regardless of popularised difference. I'm sure you enjoy many things of a similar 'nature' that have been watered down or altered from some other 'original' source? I must emphasise that I'm only messing with you I guess my room 101 is relativity, in the sense of it not being known or understood or it being forgotten. I include myself in that. Basically if everyone brought relativity into each of their judgements I think we'd probably have a lot less disagreement and a lot more harmony and understanding of each other. In a lot of senses, all the shoulds, rights and wrongs would be realised as fairly meaningless, or would at least be understood regarding their limitations in the senses that they can meaningfully work.

edit: i need to save my ramblings
-
That's relative Will it make you feel better to know that this adaptation may well bring attention to the original intention? Where as no adaptation may well have meant no attention to the orignal intention that you place value upon.

Inevitably though, you did

Really good riding. Keep it up

I really enjoyed that. In fact I was disappointed when it ended. I look forward to your next one. Nice tunage choice. Takes me back to my depressed teenage years

The best thing I find with these types of movies is to hit yourself on the head with a hammer before you watch it. It kind've stops all the questions and expectations that usually get in the way of pretty explosions and gun fights. Looking forward to it though, although it smells to smell of cheese a bit

I dig your pics, especially the last one. Good job

I thought the riding was impressive, as was the editing. Wasn't so keen on the music, for about the last 70% though
-
You've got a really appealing style there. Good music choice for the vid as well. Regarding improvements, if you could get more like ryan leech (no or less setup hops), I think that would really compliment your style

I shall expose my face Ben.

That was some damn good stuff. Look forward to your next installment

Good stuff, I enjoyed that. Looks like you have a lot of control over your bike Look forward to the next

Very impressive riding. hope your finger heals

Good stuff. Also made me want to ride. Shame I've got a puncture. I recognise the names. Can't remember where from though?

I know what you mean. If you think of it terms of a comic it kinda goes some way to 'justifying' the glory and cheese. I think perhaps if I hadn't been stoned I may have felt differently. The thing is, I prefer my stoned perception. I find it more 'acute' relative to my own expectations/ideas of what is/should be - a 'good' and 'bad' thing methinks. This is why books are usually a more enjoyable experience than film, regarding a book which had a film made of it. Basically the book offers a reduced framework for which you place your own peculiarities into the missing bits; less to contradict you! The film is different in the sense that it is somebody else's pecualirities that brings it to its 'completeness'. If you feel aligned to those peculiarities you are more likely to enjoy, perhaps. I think if you watched any film - or in fact experienced any area of life - without expectations/ideas you would enjoy it. Perhaps being able to discard ideas/expectations for a short time would be a very beneficial thing for films. The question is what would the film become to you without expectation? flowing imagery and sound without connotation? Sorry, I just can't seem to help myself with the philosophy Some of my expectations arose from the trailor which I thought was incredible. I really like the trailor music which I hoped would be in the film. I guess they thought otherwise; the film opera-esque music was more 'befitting' for the time period i suppose? I think I also projected my political value system onto the film. I didn'r agree with the politics. Silly thing to do especially as it represents a time over two thousand years ago. I wish I could direct a film I spent £6.80 raub

300 - 4/10. I was really quite disappointed with this film. I definitely give props to some of it's visual elements; the cgi styling and the slow-mo fighting. It's just so much of the film was really cheesey (to my mind); it tried to be too cool for its own good. I found myself laughing and cringing more than anything else - might have been the weed's fault. Half Nelson - 9/10. I really enjoyed this movie. Last one I watched before 300. Really poignant. Basically about this teacher and one of his pupils. I wouldn't like to say anymore than that
