    Epic

This is old skool. I remember it from years back.
  2. I'm ordering a new stem this evening. If it arrives by then I'll probably be up for a ride. Also depends on a day of sanity.
  3. What is the actual context of these images? The intent to be exact?
  4. Great riding as expected Nick. Shame about the playback issues. Anyhow, make some more vids. I really enjoy your riding
  5. If the weather is good i'll be out for a few hours between studies.
  6. The Wire can be slow paced. If you stick with it though you'll probably find it rewarding. You just need to learn the characters. Broadwalk Empire, like The Wire is another HBO series that started this year. I think it's excellent and a bit easier to get into as well. If you never watched Battlestar Galactica (adult sci-fi) or Six Feet Under (very dark and funny humour) I highly recommend those. Six feet Under and True Blood have the same producer/writer, Alan Ball who was also involved with American Beauty. I think it's actually better than True Blood which I also really enjoy. Again, these may be shows you need to watch a few of until you really get into it although I liked them from the start. Burn Notice is also quite good fun. Cool to hear somebody else watches Breaking Bad. Awesome show that hasn't done very well in UK unfortunately.
  7. I come bearing suggestive image.
  8. What is it Alan? It just looks like the original HL but with better graphics?
  9. I started adapting that film cover in an amusing way but I don't have the time. I'd also probably be the only one laughing so doubley good non-attempt.
  10. Thanks for the additional replies. I have now bought the inspired bars though. Perhaps if they break I'll refer back to what else has been suggested

    Pranks

I'm all up for pranks but making people miss their lectures is a bit out of order don't you think?
  12. Looking good Mike. I think your style has changed slightly? Liking it anyhow. You should get down to Bristol/Swindon soon so I can get some film of you with my new camera. Init!
  13. Well when you put it like that all I can say is furry muff.
  14. PAINFULLLLLLLLLLL THREADDDDDDDDDDDDDD of pointless serious evaluative imposition onto one another. Catagorization is a utility; not a means of missing the point of what matters. Where's the focus on fun?
  15. The front flip was particularly awesome. As was some of his g-turns and a particular wallride. Some dangerous stuff going down. Production value was also great. Critically speaking though I found it be overly contextualised. This seemed to be a bit detrimental to the focus and flow of the riding. But perhaps this is with regards to my being a rider rather than a civvy, so to speak and non-riders might prefer that? Music didn't float my boat unfortunately.
  16. Thanks for your response The posts I saw regarded azonic and easton bars. Inspired bars weren't mentioned. Anyway, your word is gospel Mark - inspired bars ordered. Any snappage is on you! Cheers
  17. Hello, Today whilst bunnyhopping up onto a wallride ledge thing I managed to snap my gusset open prison bars of only 3-4 months age. Thank f**k they didn't go on the 9ft drop I was considering otherwise I might have seriously injured myself. As in stands I only incured a long gash to my brake finger as i pulled the snapped bar into myself. I also broke the cables on both my hope and magura brakes I used these bars because when I previously used braced versions, they bent rather than snapped. These ones obviously didn't which is very disappointing. Anyway, regarding my future plans I haven't even really been putting the bike through its paces yet. I really want to push my riding over the next few months which means I'm going to have to avoid the gusset bars again. I checked previous posts on 24" bars and people only seemed to be recommending bars I consider to be relatively weak. Has anyone got any recommendations on some very strong bars? I guess the obvious question is, "what does Danny Mac use?". Material that has a tendency to bend rather than snap is preferable. Weight isn't so much of an issue - within reason. Has to be at least a 2" rise but 3" is prefered. Thanks in advance for any advice on the matter. I'm really lost by myself with regard to what's about and 'good' these days.
  18. I did seach regarding this but to no avail. I'm unable to load any videos in the forum videos section. When I select one to watch I'm taken to the relevant page with surrounding information but the video doesn't appear. What's going on? I really enjoy watching the old skool vids on here every now and then
  19. Good stuff. Standard Mac though and although there's nowt wrong with that I'm hoping to see some new moves tomorrow!
  20. Creatine is great for some people. I recommend it. Avoid milk with your protein shake as it slows the absorbtion of the protein. Try to use freeweights and your body rather than machines if possible. Machines are useful for targeting very specific muscles but the former are better for targeting a broader range of muscle groups because of the balance involved. Don't jump or explode your lifting, pulling, etc. but perform controled movements so that you stress your muscles across the entire range of the movement instead of only the initial part of the jump/explosion. Basically jumping your movement unweights yourself across a part of its range. This is in the sense of building muscle though. Plyometrics (explosive movements) can be useful for sports such as trials (TRA used to practice this) but I get the impression you're interested in shaping your physique rather than improving sporting performance. Stick to the range of 6-12 reps for increasing muscle mass or volume. Less than for more power and compact muscle and more for muscular endurance. Make sure you work opposing muscle groups to a similar extent to avoid causing yourself imbalances.
