Thanks for the comments. I've updated the blog - mini vid and a couple of pics from last night.
Proper video, with Stan, Mark, etc. to follow on Friday.
Thanks for the comments, chaps.
Nick, are you trying to access it via a mobile? Only I tried to use the embedding script to allow that but it stopped the vimeo controls from working so I used the older embedding script. I'll try and suss it all out over time. I'm not very adept at this sort of thing unfortunately.
Check out my new blog here.
Thanks to Mark for the inspiration and some help with the script. No doubt the form of my blog has been greatly influenced by Marks but hopefully the style is of my own making. Ben's blog has definitely been a motivator as well. Clean and Misconceptions are both awesome
I should have a few updates over the next week as some videoing of other people is planned.
Thanks for reading.
When are you going to bring your bike up? You're missing out on an awesome scene. There's so many riders in Bristol at the moment... Get yer bike init.
I am very much enjoying your blog, Ben. Keep it up.
Sorry to hear you're injured. That shit sucks. I've only just recovered from an injury myself and it's been pretty difficult to cope with. How bad is your injury?
Yeah loved your tunage selection there. Not very standard but good for that very reason.
Some good camera angles and good riding. All in all, entertaining stuff.
Encore!
Thanks for comments.
Yeah 'tis great tunage. I don't really like the look of my tyres either to be honest - too stylish for my tastes. They ride nice though.
Awesome video this. Great riding and style - exactly the sort of riding I like to see. You motivated me to go out and film yesterday
One thing though. Either your camera isn't that great or your encoding settings aren't that good? What settings do you use?
edit: just looked on vimeo at your file type/size. Based on the .wmv container I'll assume it's a windows codec but more importantly the file size is only 26mb?! Your vid would be even nicer if you upped that to 2-300mb. These days pretty much everyone has broadband so size isn't such an issue. If you still want keep the size down but get a better quality than .wmv you might want to try the h.264 codec.
Do your riding justice with a higher bitrate and nicer looking video though!
Thanks for all the comments!
We certainly do, Ali. You're good for my riding.
Thanks Tom. Yeah I thought I would be gone for upto 6 months and possibly more. If I'd listened to the doctor or most of the literature on the net I wouldn't be on my bike now but I found an alternative idea and treatment method that is sorting it out very rapidly. I'm not pain free yet but I'm very close.
I'm not sure about the weekend yet. I may be out. I may need to rest though as my body is killing today from riding yesterday! I will have to decide tomorrow methinks. I'll let you know though.
Hello,
Captured a few clips today as I've started riding again after injury. A couple of the clips are from two other rides. More slowmo that perhaps was warranted but I needed filler. I also love the smoothness of slowmo when you've filmed in 50fps so also overused in that sense. Tunage is "Autechre - Foil".
Enjoy!
Pffft, patriotism is a bore and typically causes more problems than it does help anything.
I wouldn't have said anything but, due to your obvious attachment to it all, the idea of potentially winding you up a bit is amusing right now, JD
Enjoy!
