Hey- just some quick input- If you do change the font, try not to use a serif font, since the serifs themselves tend to wash out on TV sets. Sans is the way to go Also, remember that ads tend not to describe the actual product, but rather the feeling that the user will get from owning it. Hence why car ads never say "It's got a 1.6L engine which'll do 40+mpg", but instead have some bloke ragging it round a mountain So you could possibly add some imagery of competition, ie. someone hitting a punchbag, to add to the idea of an unrelenting opponent. I'm not saying you should change anything, rather suggesting alternatives if you wanted to use them. Good work chap

Isn't there a problem with the logic here? The riddle speaks of the unknown in plural (When women have THEM), but then asks what IT is? It goes from describing something in plural to asking for a single thing... Does this strike a chord with anyone?

These 'Mac Fags' aren't the ones going round calling people names are we?
-
"Switch" works with 'card', 'room', and 'off', and according to Google the other two are legit too...
-
I share your pain It's not like it's 10years ago when no-one had a Mac- loads of people have them now... Grr!!! I'm off to a scrapheap to buy, rag and crash a REAL car then...
-
Might be worth looking at something Japanese; if the car breaks down it'll be easier to find parts for it. A 800cc Daihatsu Mira maybe? (Found one here ).With the spare £500 you could put a decent radio in it, or give a funky paint job... Sounds amazing though- goWhat's the route? Edit: Daihatsu's look promising- You've got the Cuore and Hi-Jet as well which are 800-998cc and pretty cheap, and I think the Move is under a litre and comes with power steering, e/w etc. Good luck with it!

If it's fairly new, try reinstalling OSX, otherwise head to PC world. I don't think we're allowed to post links to other forums, but if you do a google for Mac Rumors, have a look in their forums- someone will be able to help

Mite need to run some updates- Apple released a driver for ROKR's so they'd work with iTunes. Hope it works! (Lunja- TF's resident Mac geek )

Havn't posted on here for AGES, so I thought this is the perfect opportunity I've not ridden for over a year now- I am at uni and the bike's at home. How's the scene around Ipswich? I've ridden with the Ipswich, Lowestoft and Colchester lot- how are those guys? I'm gonna ride a bit over christmas when I'm back home- hope I can remember how to bunny hop Anyone seen anything of the Trimley / Felixstowe lot recently?

Wow- you get to learn HD cams?! My Uni has just taught me how to use a Sony DSR 300... (Y) Personally, I'd buy the HD cam now if you're thinking of using it for client-based projects. You'll be kicking yourself in 3years time when a client rings you up for an HD promo piece... You will have a lot more experience than the majority of freelancers if you buy it now. And even if you buy and decide it's not what you want, I'll take it off you for a couple of quid... :D What/where are you studying btw?

If you're selling more hardcore bikes, then something like "Bikeworx" might be good... I'm rubbish on photoshop though, so no design ideas I'm afraid <_<

Like someone else said, have a look in Parkers for cars with low insurance groups. I got quoted £900 as a 17yr old first time driver on a 1.1 Fiesta, but £600 on a 1.8 TD Escort Estate! And that estate would have been a bit quicker too... :S Buy a Mondeo- they're tanks :)

I havn't posted on here for ages, but that was sick. In the bad way. Was he drunk or something? Surely he can't be like that normally... Seems a bit like 'Happy Slapping' to me...

I probably shouldn't post links to other forums, but try www.macrumors.com and sign up to the forum. Over 10k mac people at your disposal... :( I have that problem though. I've got Expander, but it won't let me open the SITX file that MP has been encoded into... You could get hold of a copy of Virtual PC for Mac, which'll let you run Windows through your Mac. XP will open in its own window and you could open Media Player through that... I've not tried it yet though so I don't know how it'll work... Anyway, in a year's time Mac will start making laptops with dual core Intel processors, and because they're based on PC chips, you'll be able to dual-boot OSX and[i/] XP. Who needs a PC now?! :) mwahahahahaaaa!!!

Was looking on a Mac site (want a Powerbook sooooo bad:)) and came across this thread on a forum... http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php...threadid=124622] http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php...threadid=124622 What a name (Y) Are there any other wierd names for products that you know? I know there was a company making kids bikes called 'Puky'... And also one about why Mitsubishi couldn't sell Pajero's in Spain... (Y)

Lunja comes from "Lunge" - what we call a pedal-kick, so "lunger" became "Lunja". It became my Hotmail account, and now I get emails from Latvian and Romanian people - Lunja is a popular name there or something... :-

We've just signed up for our house next year at uni (5 dbl beds, all bills, new furniture, £50 per week :D ) and we're gonna wnat broadband. Ours is pretty much the same question, although we want to use routers to send the connection to 5 or more PC's... Would a broadband connection be slowed down by having 5 PC's connected to it? Also does anyone know if there are any companies doing student deals?

Now that I've got my own PC and can download all the trials-flavoured goodness I want, I wanna get the Coust Nottingham vid. The last link I found to it was on section7, but that links to bikeguernsey.net, which I think has closed down... Does anyone have it or know if it's been shacked? Cheers chaps!!!

The magura-noise one definatly applies to me (Y) My contribution - "When you have callouses" (Y)

Mate, you can't do enough!!! Some people are lucky and can pass GCSE's without trying, but the majority of people will need to get some done. Ask your teacher (esp. a Psychology teacher) for a learning style assessment (Can't remember the real name) and they'll help you to find which ways you learn best, either through sight, sound or repitition. This way you'll know the most efficient way that you learn, and can use it you save you time and stress... It's worth getting used to revising now so that you'll be a pro at it come A-Level time... Hope this helps!

I got Zambian Antidisestablishmentarianism - not sure if it was underlined though...
-
Personally I like it, but I'm not sure of the font... Seems a bit like an afterthought... (Sorry if this sounds insulting (Y) ) I think a sans serif font with cleaner simple lines and a light weighting would fit really well with your design - such as Identikal Sans (if you'e got the money) You could always go for comic sans... (Y)" (Y) EDIT: The more I think about it, I reckon you could use the redesigned London Underground font (Can't remember the name) that was in Creative Review a while back if you could find it in a lighter weight... That abstract influence site is amazing!! Gonna join up soon...

Dunno - I've never used movie maker :( It's only a theory - if the pc is taking the footage as frame-by-frame pictures, and giving each an amount of thime on the timeline, then that'd explain it...
-
Check what format the movie is being imported as. If it's being imported as an image file then movie maker could be giving each frame 10seconds or so, making the timeline huge. Something like that happened to me in final cut pro. Is it rendering as video? If it's rendering as animation that could be it...

Ahh, OK. I know CMYK is Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black- so the difference in colour pallettes depends on what you want to print on? Got to admit I'm a fan of "Radial Blur" - that effect got me a decent mark in my design course :) :S
