  1. How many competitors were there in last years trials world champ that were brakeless? Or any in any series? British/spanish champs etc? This is a honest question.... Interestig too see how competative they are without brakes...
  2. I know. Lol made me giggle though, there was no need for it but i suppose it was just what he felt like saying....
  3. I suppose you could. From Nottinghamshire.. Not far from Faggotsville...$
  4. At the moment its good. The back is more crucial for me learning back wheel work, pedal ups, gaps and drops. But as i improve i will increase front disk size to match, when im able to do frontey sort of stuff lol... Its how it came and i really like the brakr setup.
  5. All seems to be working well now. Thanks for looking. Mark
  6. Just saying why i think its unpopular. That was all 'imo'.. I cant ride without brakes because i never have.. Just like i cant ride a unicycle... Im a beliver of "if one person can do it then so can you". So i dont see how brakeless is this amazing new thing that everyone should do.. Just looks like trials but with flatland tricks and bmxing. I like the look of brakes. Hydraulucs look pimp like a hope wi t'rezevour and t'piston and mmmm a wavey disk. I like.brakes.. Tell.me.how can you do a 'stoppie' from very high speed. And come all the way to a stop, then do some hopping on front wheel.... Show me a video of this brakeless...
  7. (Excuse for a) Man outside a pub, wasted : "I can do that, my uncle was world champion at that bmx 'thing'" Cuppl days ago.. Actually had a decent convo with a oldish guy yesterday, probably in his 60s, he said "i like that bike, i like how the wheels have holes in and its white underneath (drilled rims)... Is that to save weight?" !!!
  8. If u have brakes u can do both... Just dont use them... So brakes is better as it is both.. U cant use brakes if you dont have any.. Plus i like my bike to slow down when im flying down a road to a ride place and a car does somthing stupid..or whatever.. I want my shoes to not be worn out and to be honest brakeless just looks like you couldnt afford any brakes.. Not saying thats the case.. Just what it looks like to every other rider tht isnt brakeless and anyone from halfords lol
  9. My local bike store is halfords and they didnt havev the tool. When i got my tool they said there busy at moment and they would be till weekend. When i went on weekend they said they cant be bothered to do it and i said "what if i pay for it?", "it would class as a gear service and is (cant remember, but more thn £20 i had) and wont be ready for " a good few days"....
  10. Wel i have allready tried the moe normal.methods. And i didnt have a vice or a bar.. So i was lookig for alternate ways. Just wanted tp shate mu methid incase anyone else has a really stuck freewheel or tools unavailable. Allways good to have more ways to do it! I hate typing on a phone lol i apologise all.
  11. Finaly! I have got the Try-all freewheel off!!!!! I cut off the bashring with a cutting disk on an angle grinder. This has worked twice for me now! After uv cut through the ring the freewheel will come loose with little effort.
  12. I wont be geting the hub for a while so dont rush around bud, thats if i dont change my mind. Yeah ill change the chain when i get do the freewheel in a cuppl weeks. Thanks guys
  13. Hmm its deffo spanish bb, says on the orange bit. The guy i got the bike off said its got upgraded bearings.
  14. Im currently doing that to try to make my cruddy freewheel last a bit longer untill i can get a new one. Just out of curiosity any guesses on howw much force is exherted onto certain parts of the bike?. What are you asking the tiny parts within the freewheel to withstand?? I know it varys dependant on weigt/strength and techniqe, but average... I suppose its the ammont of force you can put with one leg whilst holding onto somthing then the size of the cranks and diamiter of freewheel... I bet it could be quite a lot of KG resting on those tiny metal prongs... Eeek! Helmet is in oder asap! Hope i didnt bore anyone too much lol Mark
  15. Is the spanish Bb standard on the 2012 echi lite? I think those marks aee proably where the bb was installed??? Iv tripple checked and its not moving... The wobble has gone away sice tightening all drivetrain nuts etc.
  16. Its a KMC somthing or other. Yeah i kinda like it cuz its fat so im guessing quite strong. Maybe a bmx chain or somthing. Ill purchase a new one along with a freewheel, and frewheel spacer and new rear cog. BtW. I had a profile hub built onto a koxx rim a while ago but looking now on tarty i cant find a 19" rim with the correct ammount of holes to fit it? Are there any? Cheers all, Mark
  17. I think its ok i tightned pedals and the pedal onto the crank and thats gone away... Im just so paranoid abot problems now... I seem to have eliminated chain rub by removig the split link and reversing it.. As thats what was catching .. I painted it red and noticed red.in the tape i put onth frame ti check for rubbing. Going out to test.
  18. Now im noticig a wabble at 3 o clock and 9o clock in both cranks. After inspecting i noriced the left side of the bb has a larger gap around it than the other side. Is this a sidehop to the left gone bad. And bent the bb atea? If so is there anyyhing ican do? Id nit.i.may got to bank/police.for fraudulant transaction as i specofically asked the abouy any frame damage. Im starting to regret.buying the bike now.....
  19. I have that try all one but cant get it off.. Need a vice + long bar or a very good large spanner not the adjustable i have and a 10lb lump hammer lol. i need ideas that cost nothing as im skint. Theres a garage up the street but am a but wary or just randomly askin a car garage "hay can u help.me.with this/can i use.ur vice please?" Mite stop.bein a fanny n just ask em all thy can say is no!
  20. Take a look at those pics. Do you think if i can get the bashring off wih the grinder it will allow the freewheel to be loose? Ps: i dont need the crank arm/ can be destroyed if it gets it off!
  21. Im gunna have another go at removing the tryall freewheel soon. The schimano one allready is sounding bad and had a little clunk last night... Atleast it gave me my first (very hesetant) ride on the bike. Must say other than this, the bike is super smooth. The guy says he will refund me 40 for the problems as he claims he was unaware of them. This means i paid 460 posted, which i am more happy with having to spend time on. The HOPE trialtech n mono trial hold my maximum force and never sliped through in the wet. Bike feels nice on back wheel and seems easier to rotate the entire bike.. than my 221ti anyway. Very hapy guy now having had a ride.. Just wonna thank you all for help. Cheers all, Mark
  22. So u say i should have the bashring, then a spacer then a narrow freewheel. Sounds good will the crank have enought thread for all that though? On the spacer it says " for no bash ring use"
