  1. Why dont you offer the frame up for sale that you have. Put that money towards a full bike?
  2. More = better load distribution... Would you lay on a bed of nails? Yes... Wouls you lay on 1 nail....? No Also looks like the echo ones are in a race/bearing holder... Which will break and mangle up like crappy wheel bearings in 100quid mountain bikes lol
  3. Yeah im light too and never broke anything despie landing hard on downtubes on wall edge etc, worst i done is a dent... I guess the more u weigh the more damage occurs when you do bash somthig... Think thats basic physics - if u weighed 500lbs and tried to do a drop off i bet youd break a lot off things lol
  4. http://www.ashfield-dc.gov.uk/ccm/content/leisure-and-culture/parks-and-recreation/parks-and-recreation.en?page=3 Pics up tomorow. Promise lol
  5. Thanks for that link dude. However that is not the skatepark near me.lol
  6. Yeah keep an eye out for bargain montys n such on the forum... Id reccomend one, i found montys nice to learn on.
  7. No, i agree and retract that argument after consideration.
  8. Will havto do pics tomorow as iv been working on the bike yet again. I went to get pics and my crank felt weierd...(see other topic) Anyway, i guess most of you are free weekends? I was thinking a barbaque sort of thing too... Obviously no alcahol its a public area with children and PCSO's about. But i think it would be good to get a lot of like minded people to meet and bring some sausage or bread etc.. Few desposable bbqs, cool bag of drinks and a full day of socialising and ofcourse trials/skatepark. Ideas anyone?
  9. You could get everything on here for that. Bar maybe 1 or 2 things.. Then as ur building it up save up for the bits u couldnt afford. + you wil learn the bike, how its put together, where everything goes and how its supposed be. When somthing brakes u will know how to identify and fix it... Id say you could get bars n stem for 40 brakes just have a back to start with, wheels u could get new set for 99quid so second hand... Jusr have a look around... Bet u could do itfor 180...
  10. Ill save no spacer as a last resort. I allways cary a 8mm allen anyhoo Oh btw, do u know if STAN TI crankbolts work wih my stylee BB? I was thinking a 10mm key will be better/longer for more torque... Im putting like all my 8.5stone on the 8mm lol and its still fighting back.. What torque should i be using on crankbolts?
  11. It looked ok as there was still a mm of crank fir the bolt to tighten upto. Just wanted opinions. I dont think its part of the bb cuz its echo branded spacer...
  12. Yeh iv.done that to try n resolve my other problem of crank wobble.. Yeh the bb is straigt its not that its definitly freewheel. Cheers though dez.
  13. If i do cranks ill do bb just to be "all new". As allways, thanks you lot. JMCD. Yeah i was considering filing down the spacer as another guy has said..hmm.ill experiment n let you know what happens.
  14. I thought it may have been the bearings there movin around in the frame, but that is definitly nit he case i have checked that many times.. After riding bikes a while u get used to the feel and sound of certain problems. This is definitly crank wobble... As i call it..
  15. Iv tightened it so hard right now it seems ok but i know as soon as i pressure it up. Its gunna start feeling like the right crank is flappin... Yeah its spanish bb with the orange bearings on tarty. Pushed into frame.. Im considering just new everything around that area now iv changed so.much... The bb dont seem damaged as u say its steel n crank is allu.
  16. Well i need new cranks, bb and spacers then... Ahh allways somthing..
  17. My crank seems ti be working its self loose... Removing the spacer behind the crank on the BBseems to have tightened it up... Can i run it like this or will it break my cranks/bb? Cheers all.
  18. Yeah point... You could build that from parts brought on here 2nd hand fror that much + would have better components then.
  19. Megaskill... Yrh him! haha best thing ever.. Did u actually say megaskill? Daniel sure has numerous relatives...
  20. Yeh theres rocks n logs n tree stumps. Neil tunny n craig scott rode with us a cuppl times n enjoyed it.. I will post pics of stuff around town to show u, and the skatepark. Putthem up on this topic tonight for you
  21. Im left footed. And the slack is left foot forward... I was thinking different to that " atleast im not kicking when the chain is at its most tense, making it snap/mess bearings up..." yeh ur rite iv allways noticed it too... If u had a hub and fixed cog.. Anyone with that setup seen this???*like a profile/king. Cheers.
