D521, it would always come up if you want wider get a d321 and grind a brake surface onto it.

i have a 517 built by adam with sapim race spokes and a american classic hub. i have stacked a couple of times onto the front wheel and have two quite large dents in the rim but it is still straight and strong, i will use it until it properly dies which probs wont be for a long time yet. if you are a heavy rider then get a 519, its a stronger slightly heavier rim and has all the mavic qualities. cheers janson VVVVVVVVVVVV

additional info, the tool made by french company var is better quality that the shitmano one, id always recomend using the right tool, youve paid for expensive cranks, why bodge them instead of paying for a tool which will be useful in the future.

the bike boxes are cardboard, you have to take your pedals, bars and front wheel off, and probs a seat if your running one.

if you go for the bike box from a shop method, make sure one of the first things you put in, apart from your bike, is a roll of parcel tape to do the box back up for the return journey, the number of people that forget that.

ive got about 35 psi in the rear (megablaster with mich c6 tube) and also 35 psi front (panaracer fire xc with halfords tube) havent pinched for a while.
