A note on fan noise My pc was running a tad on the noisy side, so i just took the side off and cleaned all the fans with a soft paint brush, it is now running about half the noise :P Also vibration is a massive cause of noise within pc's, so get a bit of old inner tube, cut it open, and make a gromit to fit between your case and the fan itself to help prevent vibrations and the resultant noise. Oh and by the way, ive found the switches i wanted, but they are a tad expensive at £15 each so im going to stick with a pair of lit rocker swtiches for now, then get the flash ones in the summer. I have ordered all the other bits so in a few days you should be seeing a pimped up PC on here :P Oh in case anyone is interested the switches i was looking for were HERE

easy solution for that, take your bike!!!! There are loads of things all over NZ to ride. You find yourself rehearsing moves stading around, i.e without a bike :"> My dad keeps taking the piss something rotten for practicing sidehops :P

fairy liquid is a problem as it leaves behind a residue, you would need to wash the rotor and pads with an absolute shite load of water to get it off, or as you have done, burn it off :P Now dont do it again silly :P

Hey Guys and Gals, I'm intending to mod my pc case, and add some more fans etc, along with a bit more colour, however I want to be able to turn them off at night, and so need some sort of pushbuttons or switches to do this. Can anyone point me in the direction of a decent supplier of these sorts of things. I have already looked on the RS website and the Farnell websites but didnt see anything suitable. Im after either a blue backlit one of silver. Cheers Andy

my advice would be to run the windows disc cleanup, then try fragmenting your drives, to get all the data in order. I am still yet to find a decent free alternative to windows defragmenter, i know that the norton systemworks one is better but i lost my copy of that ages ago (Y)

mine would be but if you look in the pic, i have slightly best the mag booster, and cut the seatube down to allow the use of an xtr v-brake booster.

random fact of the day my mate got mentioned on his website as when he went to see him he abducted his "wig and hat" stage prop, he did later return it before his next show.

spoke tension shouldnt be even unless you are running an ss hub, the driveside should be tighter than the non drive side, but if the wheel is sitting in the middle of the frame then it would seem you have the spoke tensions right. Who built the wheel? Also you could try shaving a small amount of the outer most knobles of the tyre, I had this problem with a panaracer fire fr 2.4 in my Base, and shaving the tyre slightly solved it.
-
how close to rubbing is it when its not under any load? and are the gaps even either side of the tyre when not under load?

in my second year in a house (rented from a housing association so like halls) i had similar things and just washed down the walls before leaving, they seemed happy with that, i left a couple of oil splashes on the carpet which i had to pay for but that was only £8 off my deposit so no biggy.

At Loughborough if you want to keep your bike in your room you have to use a bike bag, and get a letter signed by both the president of the bike club and your hall warden. is it standing on anything?, maybe try getting a small amount of tarpaulin to stand it on, to put their mind to rest about it not marking the carpet. I know some of the cleaners and people at my uni are really vigilante like about bikes (mine was :() while others didnt have any problems at all.

dot fluid will dissolve the seals. if its for a trials brake and you dont like stoppies or big hills then use water as a temporary measure. else get some mineral oil.
