That very true Mr Chai, but they were both mod forks which are shorter and therefor experience less force.

Steel steerer/Aluminium legs = SCHEEEEEENAP Usually due to the fact that the steerer and legs are bonded together :P This was seen by lots of forks rom onza in the past hense the massive re-design with the aid of Ad and Dave to single piece crown and steerer assemblies.

Not really to my liking, too many damn cables/tubes, looks all too messy.

hey don't apologise!!!! you live and learn. Try and make the next one so it has a more even thickness all the way around and it should be a bit stiffer :-

Upload it into a gallery, then right click on the full sized photo and go to properties, copy the whole address then in your post hit the IMG button and paste the address in there.

From in front from the side Tis just using a cheapo £15 case with window already in it. Pair of 4" neons at the front, and all the fans with LED's in there (apart from the CPU cooler) are on a pair of switches (the small blue lights on the front view are the power indicators for the switches). Oh and its got a pci fan card in it now to cool the graphics card. All the new fans have made it a little noisy, but i can switch them off at night, and they have served to reduce temps from ~50 degrees down to ~38. I am planning on doing a build from scratch case over the summer, hopefully some nice little unique touches, hense the buying of reasonable fans etc now. To see lots of really well modded cases check out http://forums.bit-tech.net/

I was talking about the outside of the booster though :P not bad for a rush job though, a bit of refinement and it could be pretty good.

I'm 22 now, and still have a year left on my degree :- I'll still be riding trials for the forseable future, its the one thing i can do that i truelly enjoy and can escape from everything doing.

It is the Rounte Mean Square of the output, or the average power output. It is the true sustainable output of a speaker system. The stupid figures you see quoted are usually the peak output the system can sustain for a tiny fraction of a second before blowing up, and are utter tosh. Never go by peak output, always RMS. If the sales person can't/won't give you the RMS then don't go for the system it WILL be crap.

I'm glad that the justice system has actually brought about a term in jail for both the thugs envolved. My thoughts are with you Sue, Charlie, Em and all the rest of the family. RIP DJ, we will always remember you. EDIT: Just watched the news report, brought a tear to my eye again (Y)

whats the idea with cutting the flats into the outside rad where the booster passes the tyre? this appears only to have made the booster thinner and therefore more flexible at that point (Y)

basically a burns one with a few extra holes drilled in it, and for cheaper. The hard bit to make will be the splines. How are you planning to make it? cnc lathe and milling machine? and from what grade alu?

Looks like a good line up, might be worth a look this year. The only additions i would have liked to see would be boon and Danny Smith. Ali, when you go out to ride, just focus, i did last year in the Hop Idol and found that i didn't really notice the crwod, except for the applause. I only heard the commentator once during the entire thing, so that wasnt too much of a problem. In terms of the commentator, i would say get Chris Ratcliff up there again, he is a really sound and knowledgeable guy (he was the one commentating at the bike battle i think).

Looks like ill be dragging my sorry ass up to notts if i can ponse a lift off steve or ad :)

Just a quick update now that i have my cooler. Due to the layout of the Sapphire 9550 i have it wasn't possible to get a new cooler to fit onto the card itself. I therefore got this pci fan card which is mounted directly below the graphics card and while not being ideal has enabled me to push the maximum clock speed up to 470MHz. However to ensure i don't fry the graphics card ill leave it running at 445MHz, and just benefit from it running cooler.

I'd love to give blood but unfortunately i can't, i've had an op within the past 12 months, during which i recieved blood, and also am on long term medication, so no blood giving is on the cards for me for quite some time, if ever :)

I'm currently running between 17 and 20 PSI in my rear and 15-20 in my front, and find this nice for all types of riding that i do. As others have said, have a play and find what you are comfortable with, tyre pressure is a personal preferance. It may be worth taking a pump out on a ride and experimenting with different pressures until you find one you are comfortable with.

if there is any way i can get there, i.e not during uni time, then i will definately be along :P

i do think being tall helps, but technique plays a bigger factor in my opinion, Matt Staples, Andy Chai, Ad Read, Ben Slinger, Wayne Mohamet (sp?) are all pretty short but pretty damn good riders. Im hardly massive at 5ft 10, but manage to get by.

What are the advantages of SATA over IDE?
