  1. the radeons are quite good for overclocking if you either buy one that is underclocked to begin with (like my 9550 is an underclocked 9600) or get a better heatsink and fan for it. I've managed to get the same performance from my 9550 as a stock 9600, but for less money obviously, but at the expense of any sort of warranty. if you go for the cheapest card in any range (SE for ati's, XT for Nvidia) then check the bit rate of the processor is the same as that of the normal and faster cards in the range, otherwise you will find the performance being not exactly groundbreaking when compared to the other cards in the same numbering bracket.
  2. a spot of finish line in each of the pawl seats then a couple on the ratchet should be all it needs.
  3. heres my snapped saracen x-isle from back in the day
  4. looking at the hub on the bikedock website, it looks to be only 12mm through axel, making it a bit hard to use for trials. I may well be wrong, but apart from that it sounds pretty good on paper.
  5. start -> control panel -> folder options -> file types, then click on the file folder, and file ones and click the advanced button, then change icon button at the top (Y) Hope that helps.
  6. thak god for that, those things were really p***ing me off by the end
  7. i nabbed mine off the magura website, thought it looked different, and made my eyes go funny, so had to have it. As for whats written i can't remember (N) EDIT: Ah well thats pretty obvious int it

  9. they were one of the first to do it, we have a 1.5meg connection which was upgraded from 1meg just before we signed up. No monthly limit here either, but we pay for that at £35/month. I estimate we get through between 75-150GB a month, as their are 7 of us all downloading stuff constantly.
  10. sounds more like either a virus or windows has self destructed. Try installing/updating a virus checker. If that doesnt work you could try to repair windows by putting the xp cd in (i assume he is running xp) boot from it then select repair windows installation.
  11. thats one of the only mods i really like the look of. any ideas on what the prices will be?
  12. looking back at the couple of vids i have of me doing it, along with other peoples you seem right about the whole getting the rear wheel high. I think i was trying to say get your weight over the front wheel, then flick the bike underneath you, in the way you said :(
  13. the key is confidence. You need to get your weight close to the balance point to be able to get enough energy to switch onto the rear wheel. Thinking about the manouver i think the key is preloading your forks backwards whilst on the front wheel, then using the force from preloading them (forcing them backwards againt the brake) along with a big bag of pastyto throw the front end forwards and up just as you release the breake. It will take you time to get the timing on brake release sorted. Also the more upwards force you can get from your arms, the longer the bike has to move forward onto the rear wheel underneath you.

    Partypoker

ive been known to play a bit of this for play money only. A close mate of mine is currently funding himself through this year of uni by playing online poker. He gets a steady £500 a month, spending about 2-3 hours a day on it (treats it like a regular job) usually at night when all the (in his words) stupid yanks are online ready to give him their money. I think his record is £1000 in a month, when he won three or four tournaments  Just had a quick look on pokerroom.com and much prefer party to be honest, room doesnt show you your balance which makes judging betting a bit hard
  15. i will be wanting both a hoodie and a tee, in terms of size, they will probably need to be large, but that all depends on actual sizes :) Ill wait until there is some indication of those, then put my order in.
  16. i'd say the echo, the only pitbull ive ridden didnt feel that great, but bendeeleeeeeees control rides beautifully.
  17. Steve we should set up the "old fart" wing of trials-forum, by the looks of it there are a few of us. I'm 22 btw, b'day 20th oct.
  18. i'd be more than happy to pay, in fact i already do, ive donated £10 over the past three or four months, so it wouldnt really be any different :P I have no complaints as i have hosted my last three vids on there and download my fair share too.
  19. my experiences with that type of tool are in general good, they are easy to use and small and light to carry. However the main stumbling block many stall at is that the bolts upon which the tools unfold often come loose, and require additional tools to tighten, which is far from ideal in the middle on no-where. i have no actual experience with that exact tool, but they are my thoughts.

    Cad Zoo

tis a pretty good effort that. I wish i had the time to do one at the moment, as ive just learnt unigraphics for my uni project. as for stress testing, their would be no point as 99% of frames snap on the welds, as this is where the stress risers occurr.
  21. im really impressed by that good theme, which is easy on the eyes, and very easy to navigate through i like the star scrollbar thing, thats a nice touch. well organised and generally asthetically pleasing :S
  22. errr, no, cant even see your thought train on that one :S
  23. im pretty sure thats true who is currently on his 4th "longest day of my life"?
  24. I quite like my motorolla E398, which is only available on t-mobile at the moment, but you should be able to pick up an unlocked one. It does the basics well, and has quite a good text prediction. It takes 640x480 photos and has expandable storage via a transflash card (although it comes with a 64Mb card). I bought a 128Mb card for about £18 and use it as an MP3 player as well. The hands free kit actually works reliably, and the speakerphone is immense. Oh and did i mention it has a stereo speaker so listening to mp3's without headphones is possible :D I'm not sure on price, but mine was free on a reasonably cheap contract.
  25. In terms of the course, i think last years was good, as there may not have been as many big lines as previous years, it encouraged the top riders to be inventive, which is when new things happen. i.e hermance wheel swapping onto the rail, marts 180 on 180 off onto the rail etc. Plus it meant up hop idolers could actually ride too.
