Just had an examination by Si Lord, nice guy, very knowledgable and talks in terms you can understand :( Was impressed with my shoulder repair, for multiple dislocations. Less impressive is the state of my left ankle, having not turned it over for a couple of months the diagnosis was that one of the tendons (the one shown in spacemonkeys post eariler) is attached to the wrong bit of the bone, must have happened when i really badly sprained it back in the school some 7 years ago :( The treatment will consist of pulling the tendon back off the bone, positioning it in the right place and putting it in a cast for 2 weeks. Nice. Anyway, i just want to say thanks again to Si for all the time and effort he put in to come up to Loughborough and the free exam.

I should be showing up for this :( Will try to convince a couple more of the lufbra guys to show too. I don't think there is any chance of bendee turning up as he has a suspected fractured knee cap :(

i can't find them for sale anywhere so have resorted to buying them in boxes of 48 from macros (Y)

i must say ive been pretty impressed with my shimano dewhore disc, that i have on my get to uni bike. It has quite a lot of power, yet loads of modulation, the lever reach is also adjustable which is nice. I think its the M525 model but im not completely sure (Y) Yep its the 525 i have, there are pics and details of it on merlin cycles website its only £50 too which int bad, if i remember rightly thats why i got it :deej:

I agree with Danny, I don't see any reason why they can't include a DVI port, as this would allow playing on much higher resolution screens other than HDTVs. As for the difference in specs, i don't think they will make much difference, as you are only just seeing games that fully exploit the PS2 graphics capabilities, it will take time for the game developers to get the best from the next generation consoles and therefore whichever is released first will be the more successful in my opinion. With regards to IBM stealing the march, I would love to see some of these chips become available for PC's using one of the currently available socket configurations although the likelyhood of that is minimal. I'm not sure if they are compatible with the next generation of operating systems which will no doubt run using 64bit processors, if not then they will more than likely be consigned to macs which would be such a waste of a good, on paper, processor. Finally does anyone have any details on the cooling these beasts are going to be using? I can see them needing to shift some serious amounts of air to keep the beasty processors cool. Just think of the speeds that could be achieved with decent full sized PC cooling, even just on air!!!!!

sounds good sue, It would give me a chance to get a better fitting medium :turned:
-
Hmm, worse than last time :turned: Oh well will be better next time. Results for those who cant see them, well the inter 26" ones anyway. Ok so I was feeling kind and did all of them :)

i think im doing about 41" tops these days on a T-Rex

a couple of packets of t-bone steak roysters (the nicest crisps available) and also just demolished a pack of 6 tesco value raspberry jam tarts  Time for some cereal i think too, nice big bowl of fruit and fibre :S

the mysetery person would be me then  Glad i could be of assistance :P I'm in the pic too, and me bike YaY Was nice to meet and chat to a few more people too. I rode ok for the first part, poorly for the middle part and pretty well at the end :P when i should have been getting tired!! 41 for the day for me in 26" inter, not bad but not great, only my second trial though so its all a steep learning curve for me. Cheers to the organisers and observers for doing such a good job. P.S if anyone needs a roof over their head before a comp, just give me a shout, i'm in luf same as Ad.

I didn't even realise you were meant to report an accident (Y) I've had a couple but not done anything :P Nothing come of it though so no problems.

Jon, the ram is shared i.e split between the main system and the graphics. more information and relevance to PCs here Looks like it will bring some interesting developments to the PC world. Would make a pretty beasty PC if you could get windows onto it like you can with the old xbox, although i doubt it windows would run. Am still trying to get over the 48 graphics pipelines!!!! Thats six times more than my radeon 9700 pro and three times the number on the top of the range radeon X850 XTPE!!!!

generally you can go to any section in any order, i try to go to the ones with the smallest queues for obvious reasons. I don't think they like you repeating a section all 3 times in a row, maybe doing a few twice at the end of the comp if they are quiet, but not the whole lot. Joe, come say hello, ill be on Ads prototype t-rex with loud paintjob. Ill also be doing inter and its only my second comp so don't be intimidated ill be crap too :P Ill be with Tic too most likely so look out for the hobbit for easy identification (Y)

yes very slowely, heres the link that took about 10 mins to load :S http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/in...d=63758&_LOC=UK

I believer the W1 is very similar too for a slightly lower price, find a review here. it looks like ebuyer have it quite cheap. Its an older model so you might be able to find a good deal on it.

yes, so long as you never brake for more than 5 secs at a time, as you would boil the water.
-
Looks like a hog to me (not a koxx due to no eyelets). Another choice of rim for those on 24" though :S
-
more power, not better feel, it would be pretty damn squishy, and the pads would need to be setup right next to the rim due to the reduced amount of travel.
-
have you tried re-setting your router? as it might be having a funny.

I got pulled over in Bracknal, I was trying to find the cinema (but didnt know where it was so was probably driving a bit erratically) and had 4 people in the car, saw cops pull out behind me, but was doing nothing wrong so didn't worry. The got out onto a main road and got the ol' blue light treatment, so pulled over. They were just checking why a car registered to a 50 year old in north london was in Bracknal. Gave them my name and address and that was it, didn't even have to show them my license :S, they then gave me an escort to the cinema which was nice of them :P, although on the way we passed the dodgiest looking burger van which was in the middle of an old run down industrial estate yet seemed to be doing a roaring business (would you like some drugs with your kebab?). But yeah, they were nothing but nice to me, so i'm not too bothered. I was certainly suprised it had taken me 3 years since passing my test before i first got pulled over.

I'll defo be there again, had a really good laff at the first round (my first comp) so will be trying my hardest to get the whole series done (N) Wet or not it should be good.
-
I'd love to but unfortunately its the weekend of the carsington pastures YMSA comp. Good luck with it though. We did a similar thing a few years back during national cycling week (N)

i did it for a while as you can see, i should still be top of the board, might shove it back on my media pc, but im not too keen on pushing my work pc to 100% all the time as its overclocked massively. Just looked at the team stats and it appears ive been knocked off top spot. Still done the most units though (N)
