if you run the adaptor the correct way round you should be able to run a 203 disc with it. I've got a 203 on my avid (using a +40 adaptor) and its a beast. Plenty of power and loads of modulation.

I'd say give the american classic 140 disc a look. I've had one for about 18 months and its been excellent, no probslems at all, and the bearings are still smooth as a babies bum, there lighter than either of the hopes too and are a bit different too, not just the normal hopes.

I've been avoiding work by buying a new pc processor, and watching about 5 episodes of greys anatomy Hardcpre day of work tomorrow

I'm in my final year of a mechanical engineering degree. I know i definately picked the right course in the end as its been really enjoyable overall. The thoery cuked a bit but doing a placement year really helped me see what i was workig towards, and the final two years have been a lot more practical project work which has been good fun.

If you want a design and engineering experience then try finding one at an engineering consultancy, that way you'll get a good idea about things. Also if its a large firm then there will be a variety of work that will give you a nice rounded experience.

Please think carefully about what you want to do with your life befor going for something like working in a shop. What are your career plans etc, what do you want to end up doing etc. I was planning on becoming an accountant, and spent my work experience in an accounting firm (only doing general office work) and got a good feal for what it would be like as an accountant, subsequently i decided it wasn't for me and so went along a different career path. This is one of the only oppotunities you will get to try out a career before you have to make big decesions about going to college/uni or getting a job and so any relevant experience, whilst confirming whether your current career thoughts are right or not, will also show up well on your CV. The decisions up to you, but try to see past the fun of working on bikes all day, if you want to do that get a sat job in your local bike shop!! EDIT: Just read that back, jesus i sound like an old fart!!

Cheeky steve, that last image isnt CAD although im sure you made/were given the model in UG first though. I use UG NX3 for the same reasons as Steve. I've found that learning it has been a bit more difficult than say solidedge, but its many times more powerful. Here a few of screenshots of my work this year. Group Project, Saddle tree model made by reverse engineering CMM data [attachmentid=4322] Then carried out FEA on it [attachmentid=4323] CAE coursework 1, a vice assembly with variable dimensions, rendered [attachmentid=4324] CAE coursework 2, a bottle design using freeform surfaces [attachmentid=4325]

I finally managed to have a play around on a pro 2t on monday at the YMSA and i must say i was pretty damn impressed. You barely notice any difference in number of EP's when compared to my king. If i was buying a hub now i'd more than likely get a Pro 2t due to their lower cost and more simplistic design.

Few New Pc Parts, Wanting Some Recommendations Please :)

Thermaltake big typhoon or thermalright Si/XP-120 for the CPU, i have an xp-120 cooling my opteron 144 (stock speed 1.8GHZ) at 2.5GHZ 24/7, idle is about 30, load about 40. Thats with an akasa amber fan which is in-audible in my pretty damn quiet system. The big typhoons are meant to be very good too, im annoyed i didnt get one for my media system now as the arctic cooling freezer pro i got isnt that good. HD wise i'd recommend a samsung, ive just bought a pair of them (one sataII one pata) after much deliberation over which brands are best especially considering recent reliability. They are damn quiet and mine is damn fast too, obviously not raptor speeds, but good amongst like specced competition including all those with 16mb caches. Don't bother with ramsinks on your system ram. They have been proved to make about 5MHz difference tops. I'd say go with the zalman for your 6600GT, also be wary and check whether yours has an hsi bridge chip as you'll need an extra zalman cooler for that if your current cooler is cooling that too. As for cases, its all down to personal preferance in the end, obviously the quality of the lian-li cases speaks for itself, although antec, silverstone and coolermaster make very good cases too. For a PSU, look to get either a tagan, enermax (i have the modular liberty 400W powering my overclocked system easily), seasonic, hiper or antec units, anything from those brands over 400W will be more than enough. As your looking to the budget end, try also looking at FSP (also called sparkle) as they offer really good value efficient psu's. My enermax really has been excellent and the 120mm fan hasn't gone over 1000rpm since i've had it so has remained silent. if you want any more advice give me a shout one msn -
Had a really good day. Was riding tripe to start with then just as i started to get into it i got rediculous amounts of arm pump Thought the sections were challanging and well thought out. Really loving the inclusion of a man-made section, broke it up nicely. I also liked the three laps of 6 sections too as it meant you had a good few stabs at each section and so could learn off others etc. UCI rules made pretty much no difference to me as i always try to ride without hitting anything but my tyres, probably accounted for about 5 extra dabs over the whole event for me. Did i get the highest score?? well have to wait till the results are put on the net. EDIT: Just after you left i did exactly the same thing too joe, although i;d done it twice previously fine (well apart from the stupidly heavy landing, which bent my mech hanger even though i didnt hit it at all )

Would You Guys Be Happy With A Basic Job N Stuff...
tank_rider replied to Will Arnold's topic in Chit Chat
I'm afraid i'm gonna have to say i'm not settling for a basic job. In my final year of a 4 (+placement year) degree and have got a job sorted working for Xerox (make photocopiers etc) in the product development centre. Definately not basic, however i don't want to let it take over my life so it won't. It means i'll be able to comfortably afford what i want, and still have free time to partake in other activities -
She is hot as hell, FACT.

God love pointless english coursework Anyhoo, the main thing is that these things are always opinion. So long as you put forward some well thought out statements and back it up with some clear reasoning then you should be fine. Half the time it depends on the teacher though, theres the ones that think theirs is the only right view (bad) and those who can consider all views (good). It makes me want to write a book, have someone analyse it, then tell them they are wrong and all i was doing was writing a story!! and to sod off and do something useful with their life.
