  1. Pretty sure there is another user from up near Workington.
  2. They're very nice, good choice. I was eyeing one up in my local bike shop. They're a great all-rounder, very capable.
  3. Monster T forks are something else! We're they 8" of travel or 10"?
  4. Think Dan's are Silver though. Will keep an eye on the classifieds and see if I can pick up a more suitable stem and bar set.
  5. Found some 680mm o/s riser bars and fitted them with a 90mm o/s 6 degree rise stem. Could do with a bit more rise to the stem and width to the bars, but will do for now. Dropped 150g's too!
  6. Might have to look in to some. Got some o/s risers spare, but they're all 620mm ish wide. Could do with some 700mm wide. Time to do some shopping I think!
  7. Thought I had a Black high rise stem in with my spares, but they're all O/S and my Brisa bar is 25.4. Will have to see if I can pick one up. Thanks for the comment.
  8. Enjoyed watching that, thanks for posting it up.
  9. Really impressive, well done.
  10. Thanks for the comments. Haha Matthew. No probs, will get myself some more practise and give you a shout.

The side hop on to the crates looks huge!
  12. Quick ride out this morning. Bit (!) windy, but still good fun.
  13. I've found the balance side of things can help when out mtb'ing. Especially at trail centres on tight singletrack.
  14. Bit of a frame swop to a Phase 1.2. Big improvement in my eyes:
  15. Very classic GT, similar to the polished alu Zaskars that Hans Ray used to hop around on. Looks great to me. CNC machined rear brace looks a nice piece of work.
  16. Great stuff, I was the seller. Good to see they have gone to a trials enthusiast. When I google'd the brace there was a shop selling the brace new for £25. It was in 'as new' condition so should fetch £15 second-hand I'd have thought. Nice brace though, I'd keep hold of it. Nice and light.
  17. Did you get it off eBay with a Blue Magura brake?
  18. Good video's, looking forward to trying pedal kicks next time I'm out.
  19. I posted up in the beginners section, but thought I'd start a thread of the bike I picked up a week ago. I wanted something cheap to start on, so it didn't really matter how tatty etc it was just as long as the price was right. Bought from an auction site for £77, plus postage. I sold the Magura rear brake off it and the Hope rear wheel, which near enough paid for the bike and postage. So mission accomplished, it's cost me very little to give trials a go. I used to do a bit of street trials years ago on a mtb, so have the basics covered. Just trying to get my head round pedal kicks at the moment. The bike as it was: After a swop around of parts, that I already had: Am tempted to strip it down and paint the frame mat black, but will see how things go time wise over Christmas. Needs a new front tyre, so am looking round for a reasonably price 2.35" Maxxis HR. Hayes discs seem to work ok, so they'll do for now. Might swop the stem out at some point, but will see if I get used to the position.
  20. Some great scenery in the film. I quite like some of the films The Collective have done over the years. Great locations and biking rolled in to one.
  21. Thanks for the comments. Bike owes me a little over £10, so it really is something cheap to get me started! Frame has a dent in the downtube, which I'll have to keen an eye on. Spec wise it has Brisa bars and stem, which looked to have been changed from the originals. It has a Tensile chainset, which looks pretty nice to me. The discs are cable Hayes jobbies, which are a bit cheap but better than some cable discs I've seen before. So, I'll see how I get on. Had my first ride out on it yesterday and am aching a bit this morning. Trying to learn front hops, but struggling to tell my left hand to let go of the brake lever, haha. Thanks again, Matt
  22. Here we go, be kind: To put things in to perspective, I bought it to see how I got on with it. With the intention of either selling it if I hated it or buying something better if I liked it. I've removed the Magura rear brake that came on it and fitted the discs (as I had them lying around). Bike only owes me very little money wise.
  23. It's only something cheap to see how I get on with things, so don't expect much! Has a few nice touches though like a Hope rear hub and Magura hs33 rear brake. Will get some pictures taken and post them up.
  24. I'd be tempted for this, but my bike only arrived yesterday and it might take me a little bit to get it up and running how I'd like. Will keep an eye out for the next one. Have you done anything a little further North before?
  25. Hi everyone. Just joined the forum and thought I'd say "Hi". I've just picked up a trials bike after fancying getting back in to things after many years away from trials. Hoping to pick up a few tips from you all and change the spec up on my bike a little to get it how I want.
