  1. 10 seconds without correction hops , or in total ? Either way , pretty good start . I found that having set the bike up correctly what helped most was just staying relaxed and loose over the bike . Did a lot of experimentation with arms straight or not , legs fully extended , or crouching etc . You may find it more comfortable to backhop with your feet not fully horizontal , try variations like lead pedal higher or lower . Good luck , keep us posted on your progress .
  2. Streety trials calls for short bikes , something which is being largely overlooked by the Koxx s and Coustelliers of this world . As Butcha87 suggested , Leeson and Pashley are producing some very good frames ideally suited to street / trials . As for me , I'll stick with my short , flickable Base TA26 .
  3. Correct Onzaboymark . Incidentally , did some further research and found this ... Gotta be said , that's one of the best lookin' bikes I've ever seen and I thought mine was well colour coded . :ermm: Silly Czar icon .

  5. Hey , Hey ...I'm a Part-time f**king fanny , actually . And most bicycle technicians are very helpful people who are genuinely enthusiastic about bikes and riding . Learn to understand human nature and learn about yourself .
  6. BIKETRIALS.COM... An American site with some interesting articles and reviews , not terribly up to date . As Onzaboymark suggested , you're really at the best place already for a broad spectrum of opinions and different frames / bikes .
  7. " Syphilitic Gutterslut " seems pretty effective ...
  8. These chaps import and sell Czar's Ivan frame at 695 Euro ( ! ) Czar Ivan Frame They have a pretty sweet video of it in use , too . Amazing that no one has bought up the whole " XTP ripoff " accusations again . As stated above , though , this frame is unlikely to suit your style of riding . Nice photography , too .
  9. Very encouraging words from Onzaboymark . Sure technique and technology have moved on , but as long as you're able to enjoy riding at whatever level , you're doing well regardless of age . Your body will "remember" and reassume trials mode , making it both easier to concentrate on riding , and causing less injury . There is no measuring progression beyond what you tell yourself you are happy / proud of .
  10. I was kinda wondering about this too , and was helped with some excellent advice by the goood peeps of T-F . Mech Lockingsology Got it running nicely .
  11. I had similar problems when I was running one on the front . I was still dissatisfied with the screeching and lack of bite after various bedding in attempts , so ditched the supplied pads in favour of some aftermarket ones , EBC I think . Pretty good brake when well set up .
  12. I'm kinda partial to Bases , but if the Woodman is in good condition and the previous owner trustworthy , I don't see why not . Swap is frames only ? Ensure your existing components are compatable , especially BB and headset cups etc . Agree beforehand how the frames will be delivered , ie : Brackets removed or not , Base's bashplate supplied , warranty papers etc ... Good luck .
  13. That Hanger Banger shown above looks kinda cool , but I'm with Tipsy Jock on this one , a good roadie mech may be heavy , but offers lots of hassle free tension .
  14. Lookin' lots better nearly built up . What brake do you intend to run at rear ? Keep us posted , I'd like to see the finished article .
  15. Really is lookin' good , although I boast Holland's nicest ( and only ) Base .
  16. Holy poo ! Kid's got skillzorzz!!!1! Great video quality , too .
  17. Congratulations , Obese Michael . Really well made video with a nice mix of moves . Quality's good too , I'll be keeping this for sure .
  18. Gosh , that's very pretty with a neat paintjob , too . Looks kinda short . UCI style saddlelessness :P , with short , streety geometry . Like it .
  19. Those few trials riders i DO know here in Holland speak of some strange device called a " Mak - oer - aaah . " Damned silly Dutch folk . Oh , wait ... :P
  20. Really ? Damn ! I gave mine to a buddy and chose to use my unbranded blue QRs . Aaah , how one suffers for colour coordination . In answer to Stinkee's original question , I've heard nothing but bad things about Hope's skewers , surprising given that all their other products are usually well designed .
  21. There was some brief discussion about 'em over here... ended up inconclusive , but I like 'em .
  22. Excellent , the Nopogo videos rarely dissapoint and this one has great riding and the picture quality is amazing . Good work , chaps .
  23. Kinda into the whole Blue + silver vibe lately . (Y)
  24. As suggested above , this is best done when the rim is not built up . This allows you to clamp the rim and drill from the inside out .
