  1. Oh , I've seen some classic mid - hop gurns here . Threre should be plenty of good submissions .
  2. In the lengths needed for a front and rear brake , is there any noticeable weight difference between braided and regular plastic hose ?
  3. Base bikes need to be blue , as shown in diagram A : I'm kidding , you've made a great start there , the final build is gonna look and ride awesome . Do you intend to keep the bashplate , or discard it and run a ring ? I notice the top tube is no longer octagonal as on mine , also an 2005 model . Keep us posted on progress , I'm really curious how this is going to look upon completion .
  4. Sure , he's a massively talented rider , very innovative too , but doesn't get much exposure out here perhaps because we hear / read more about European competition riders , whereas Mr . Leech is primarily a demo / show rider . The guy is a sponsor's dream : great rider , very representative and seems to always smile . I still watch Reed Merschat's " Evolve " and " Revolution " videos sometimes , and am amazed at some of his lines .
  5. Hmmm, not exactly sure what you mean here ... You're actually bending axles regularly ? sounds like the wheel simply isn't tightened enough , allowing it to move when pressured ie by the chain , without causing any damage to the axle itself .
  6. ANYTHING but my real name , believe it or not I'm called : Roderick Alexander Munniks De Jongh Von Luchsinger . Do I win anything ? I'd go with Isildur or Methuselah .
  7. Really clean , light looking bike - great to see a conventional saddle too , we're a dying breed . I've always loved Pures , and this is one of the finest I've seen .
  8. The more Czars I see , the more they appeal . Yours looks great .
  9. Somewhat heavy handed to close the topic , but all this uproar is creating further publicity and awareness perhaps beyond what the original post would have achieved .
  10. At the risk of showing my age ... I know exactly what you mean , but I'm unwilling to reenter the debate about 20" Vs 26 " . Mods and rockers were perhaps one of the first rival groups of youth culture in Britain ( late 60's ) , distinguishing themselves by clothing style and affinity to motorbikes and / or cars . There are parralels to be drawn with the modern concepts of Goth , skater , chav etc .
  11. Some damned fine looking bicycles here . My colour coordinated Base . Kinda sticking with V-brakes untill I can source a pair of white HS33 bodies with white levers . [attachmentid=3012] [attachmentid=3013]
  12. Oooh yes , it most certainly is . Rather interested in your S.S setup , what spacers / tensioner are you running there ? Looks great .
  13. w00t!!!1!1!! Congratulations , but Urpedigreechumdog's cynical statement has a point , what exactly are the prepared to fund / construct ?
  14. Call me a weight weenie , but I try to take as little as possible , this also allows greater freedom of movement . Usually I'l be packin' little more than my keys , wallet , and a bottle of water .
  15. This may count as cheating , but the manufacturer suggested I cut out the damaged area for warranty inspection . There was a pretty nasty fracture right there . Some of the other frames posted here ...
  16. Another difficulty is the fact that while this would give the prospective customer an idea of the feel of the frame , upon purchase most people will then select their own componentry , whereas motorbikes remain factory builds . The trials bike you try will have radically different ride qualities to the way it performs with your own preferred stem , handlebars , etc .
  17. Iwondered the same a while ago , and found that we resist categorisation ... Labelling ? Athletes ? Vandals ? Ultimately , we're just kids trying to have fun on absurdly small and expensive bicycles .
  18. I've managed to fracture / snap / destroy 1 Kona Munimula ( absurdly light frame ) 1 G.T Zaskar 2 Trek Bruisers 1 Base TA 26 .
  19. 1.Male 2. 21 - 29 3. NO 4. Which colours would you associate with acceptance? (choose 2) Blue - White 5. Which colours would you associate with rejection? (choose 2) RED - Orange 6. Which shape would you associate with acceptance? Triangle 7. Which sahpe would you associate with rejection? Rectangle 8. If you went speed dating what would be your drink of choice? Glass of wine .
  20. Good looking bicycle , but why is the front bash mounting post so far off the underside of the downtube , surely this reduces clearance ? ( thus necessitating a bash ) Also , does the frame not have hose guides ?
  21. Same over here , dude , I feel your pain . As for feeding habits generally , I'm a pretty healthy eater , and confine myself to water and fruit juices only for liquids .
  22. Great work , glad to see a "bike pics " section too , I expect the previous bike pics thing was wildly unpopular ? Any more changes on the way ?
  23. She's a beaut , especially that rear brake setup , how exactly does the booster attatch to the frame ? Is that a RooX stem ? I used to love those .
  24. Is that a bodged derailleur as a chain tensioner ? Nice bike , incidentally . Black Mumba are copies of Zoo products ?
  25. Take a good camera , there's gonna be some absurd riding .
