  1. Yup : That said , opinions are pretty subjective about pads , as personal prefference and variables like rider weight , rim surface etc make these rough indications at best .
  2. Perfect general use bike , love it . A lot of Commencal's own in house branded componentry , but I expect they know what they're doing . Also couldn't help but notice that the headset is manufactured by "Neco. " A certain popular individual may need to be cautious about marketing bicycle components with an identical name .
  3. I did suggest lookin' there , Mr.Crank . Still going for a Base with blue / white parts ?
  4. Someone's running a damned aimbot , I swear !

I expect it'll be a while before the poster returns from his current tour of duty , but it appears that he's from the same Regiment that Prince Harry is serving in , as recently exposed by the media . It's possible that he was aware of this all the time and was sworn under the O.S.A to withold / deny this for OpSec reasons . Pretty curious how Samo's tour is going either way . You O.K out there , buddy ?
  6. = hotness . That said , if you're making custom stickers anyway , why not select / design something entirely different - a word , phrase or logo that has meaning to you personally ? ( Unless of course you are descended from aristocratic Russian nobility . )
  7. Profoundly cool ! Bloody Mr.Hermance signing No.1 though
  8. It seems that these : ...are what Felix Mucke wears , and as such they do me just fine too . Comfortable , surprisingly light , and grippier than blu tack that's been sellotaped to glue .
  9. Damned right , seems to meet your requirements . Inexpensive , great for streety trials , yet conventional geometry allows regular ( short range ) commuting . A built up example is shown in my sig , and with the saddle raised , it's kinda almost vaguely comfortableish .
  10. Absolutely , the standard resting position is 1 or 2 fingers covering each brake lever . At first it felt to me like doing so lessened my grip on the bars , but it soon becomes second nature .
  11. You mean the plastic collar that acts as a wedge ? Most I've encountered have a split to help as they are quite tight . Which Headset ?
  12. If you're certain that the P.C supplying the signal is O.K , and changing power and signal cables to the monitor don't help , then it's pretty much game over . Are you connecting analog or DVI ?
  13. No luck on the dull , uninspiring and creepily symmetrical portrait I'm afraid , but I found the Top one ( Max Beckmann's " Carnival") and the Lowest one ( Giogio De Chirico's " The Uncertainty of the Poet ")
  14. = beautiful bicycle , but points deducted for not taking the photos in your post modern minimalistic room

    Ashton

What is ... you mean - umm . Is it ... how ? Is this the actual long promised Orange / Ashton collaboration , or a neat paintjob and stickering ? Either way , looks great and your choice of brakes is excellent .
  16. Finished bike looks great , congratulations . The dropouts are probably generic catalogue parts and the holes intended for attaching a pannier rack , unless they are located on the inside of the tubes in which case they are to allow gasses to escape whilst welding .
  17. An excellent vintage , should be very fun to ride . As for that disc mount surprising for a well established manufacturer to design something so poorly , even back then .
  18. May you get ( even ) smoother with age like a fine wine .
  19. Great shots , Krisboats . Approximately what the Hell manoeuvre is being performed here ? Looks like a fun ride , I sorely miss the U.K's healthy trials scene .
  20. Also , be sure to clean the bike thoroughly before presenting it or submitting photos of it for warranty evaluation .
  21. Great lookin' bike , and if she has any enthusiasm it'll be a great platform to learn on . Is that excess V-brake cable wrapped around the left fork leg ?
  22. Another reccomendation for David Gemmell , especially his first book called L E G E N D which is an awesome read . I'm also fond of Christopher Hitchens , Pratchett , Andy McNabb and of course - among the world's finest books : Red Dragon by Thomas Harris .
