well all it takes is to get the grinder out a few more times than usual. how hard can that be. also you can dent any rim. it all depends on the angle and the harshness of which you land. i know a viz/koxx/hg probably aint as strong as 521 for sidewall strenght. but until people realise that trials is harsh on your bike. no matter what you do yo uwill break parts bend parts whatever. if you want width you have to sacrafice. fact. thechink

i think you will find that some riders do use there gears to good use. like different gears for street ans natural etc. by having the working gears you can endo and change gear by pedling quickly. thechink

lets actually answer this boys question. widest rim possible. 47/6 mm koxx.....non eyeletted. viz.....eyeletted 38mm echo ronnie viz aswell etc etc smaller 521 tioga sun etc etc your also forgetting people that a rim is only as good as its build. if you have a shit build the wheel wont be that strong. if you wantr a strong wheel go for a viz/koxx 36 hole and build it 4 cross. thechink

yay for team viz. my mate has the pimpest brake ever with a try all. and if anyone was on the portsmouth dj ride they would know that my brake was f**king amazing in the wet. if the rims are so shit how come every one of the top class riders uses them with no problem. its just that people go oh i will do this 10 foot drop although i cant land it properly. i dont do drops over 7 - 8 foot becuae it just kills bikes. if you get your rush through jumpingo ff high stuff get a dh bike and do freeride. trials to me is technical and the viz rim is perfect for what i do. and dont just thinking im saying this. i used to run viz rims ages ago and they have been great. i have only put a little dent in mine after running a well low pressure and landing uber harsh. thechink

i run coust v1's on a viz and i must say it owns you and your brake. total prawnage. its got so much bite and lock but somehow still got modulation. coust all the way. if you have any short backings you can send them off to dave butler and he will make the coust v2 pads. ben slinger rides with them. and you can hear the power in his brake. thechink

i use a viz rims and so far they have been pretty nice. your always gonna dent a rim. just learn to ride better/land smoother. this is a prime example or trials for you. its harsh on your bike. fact. thechink

get the echo stem. i rode with a viz stock stem on my vinco and it owns. you feel hunched up but its so much nicer. thechink
