i totally forgot about yoshi, but you should see the lad ride dave, hes like a ninja in disguise!!! so fast, smooth and extremly precise!!!! and he rides a Giant Hawzee replica................ Hopefully there will be more details in MBUK shortly about Yoshi and a few other big named foreign riders who not many UK riders will know about. Wayne.

are you sue barbara that the entry fee is £10.00 ???? iv just done my entry online and its only charged me £10.00. CHEAP AS CHIPS!!!! Wayne.

nice bike man looks all spangly and new. mine dont usually last 10minutes before they look used and abused Wayne

we should have a TF betting a bit like "william hill" give them odds, 10 times world champion canas could be 3 or 4 to 1, and ben say 6 to 1, id put £20.00 all day on something like that for a return of £120.00 and my £20.00 back. it would be more interesting to put the bet on 3rd place. Ali C, Danny B, Andrei Burton, Brummotti. Wayne. EDIT: I forgot, im missing the BEST japanese 26" rider who is also a very nice guy, good to talk to and is a good laugh. Yoshi!!! only did 2 rounds last year and won them both,he was JUST behind me last year on overall standings. i would possibly place him as the 3rd man to fill the podium.

Great. So can you give "details" about the final round? when and where? or is it all still to be confirmed? cheers. Wayne.

i agree with "hasanyoneseenmyshoe" if a learner is "just" able to sidehop 33 and then sidehops 36 with a tuck, leave them be they are pushing their limits and boundaries. its fair comment that people maybe blatantly going out and "practising" tucking as opposed to sidehopping, but more fool them, you learn quicker and better learning the technique as opposed to learning to do something that isnt really beneficial? Wayne.

2 weeks to this exact day is the final round of the national championship series, with addingham moorside being one of my more "home" orientated venues, id like to hope that after the competition we can ride until we cant ride any more as addingham is only open to competitions (of the push bike fashion) Who will be attending the national? and who will be there to maybe have a practice after? if this is ok?(im sure barbara@ cleanbikes will confirm this for me) I know i wish not to leave until i have ridden myself to death. il try find the results and overall leaders etc and put them in here later today. Wayne.

So the british team hasnt really got the entries as it has had in the past, but i see the WBC as more of a casual "meeting up with old friends" kind of thing. As well as the competition and the ceremonies its a good get together and a time to have a good laugh. Favourites this year, i think the emphasis will be on Cesar Canas Vs Ben Savage. Ben reigning world champion, and Cesar who was unfortunatly out with injury last year (back problems) i think with their only been 2 rounds it could get quite interesting. personally i dont feel there is any other rider in the Master class that is upto standards with these 2 riders, competition focus etc. Who's betting who? and who will roll up in 3rd place? (in masters) its more of a british championship round in the master class i think theres 6 or 7 UK riders in the masters BUT will Brumotti (Expert WBC Champion from 2006) the italian stallion!!! pull through as 3rd in the world or will it be another brit to complete the podium? ALSO not to forget the young guns on the Saturday, my monies on local boy, Jack Carthy 10 years old and has come on this year really well, deffinatly a future boy, in the same class there is Tom Oliver and (i think) Ryan Crisp. Id like to see Master champ stay in the UK and id like to see an upset in some of the other classes, would be nice to see Sam Oliver up there, Thomas Hyland again and id hope for a good result in the minime class with the 3 boys above, just image a british 1,2,3 other peoples opinions and thoughts? Wayne.

Kool will do Ali, it will probably be the week between czech and the brit round? (hopefully that wont be a problem?) il pm you as you said, if not il try give you a buzz on the old mobile blower. If you get eprmission to make it like "Hook woods" etc im sure it will become a place that is well recognised, by the sounds of it already it sounds pretty kool. Wayne.

My point is, people should NOT be forced into fashion, and thats sort of what is happening. i agree with people wearing what they want, thats all kool, BUT as a "stereotypical" image of a trouble causer/chav etc, what do they commonly wear etc? i personally dont care how other people look, i just dont feel the force of 2/3 people riding for a company promoting a shoe is fair advertising? specially when one of them people is saying "other" ribo shoes are shit? Wayne. i wear trakkies at comps for better flexibility etc, i dont wear them 24/7 as i prefer to go out riding as casual as ever, just in case theres a pub close and a beer calls. you cant beat a good beer after a chilling session (obviously NOT driving home afterwards!)

Hawkstone Round Of World Motorbike Trials Championship
Waynio replied to kelly farm trials's topic in Trials Chat
wish i was going. would love to watch the motorbike stuff. Wayne. -
im not saying its un cool or cool to wear JUST trials shoes, but the moral of this thread is a blatant advertisement of ribo shoes, but then when it comes to ALL ribo shoes its JUST these 1 particular pair that tartybikes sell. the world is full of opinions buddy i aint high up in trials. im far from that. i just appreciate when people ask me how to do things and take honest independant advice. Wayne.

i hope im still cool to come over visit and party it up with you bro next year. weather you are riding or not geeza, the catch up and the piss up will be awesome. its been way too long, i hope things go well on monday at the hospital. stay strong in the mind and strong in positiveness!!!!and you will be fine. Wayne. you bro!

ok, coolness in my opinion is the people on that list and that list contains one of the main people who got trials where it is today? i would really like to see someones "real" ribo's rub through on the sides then see what people think to that waste of £80? is the design of the new ones taken the rubbing through factor in? if they have then great but if you ride and your feet touch your cranks or chainstays or slave cylinders your bound to rub through your shoes 1st. it is weird though how my skate style shoes dont rub through and some trials shoes do cos people like you JT! will never own or have enough style to appreciate it. haha. tell me what you do for trials to make it better? apart from break walls in pieces? and do damage to objects that cause people to get upset and grumble? Wayne.

as long as the bars feel ok to you, ride them where you like them. looks just like mine, all you need is a 110mm x 10 degree hope stem looks good polished up too, mines blue and batterd haha, i call it the "sign of use and abuse paint finish" Wayne.

partz i wish i was able to get the time off work to go to ogwen!! have wanted to go there for ages. i asked ben if we was going to go today or tomorrow but i had to work today, so it sort of cancelled a few things. Danny il be out and about tomorrow evening, got some nice stuff to do round at Appleyards and in a couple of new spots (if we can climb fences well) Wayne.

im confused by what you are telling me hugh. ribo's are ribo's or am i missing the point? or is this a publicity thread that i shouldnt be in? iv only ever used monty and koxx boots, and from what i can tell the monty boots have the same sole as ribo's? and shoes are shoes, i prefer to wear skate style shoes like globe and vans etc. what your trying to tell me is "THIS" pair of ribo's are worth £80, so i look cool? ride better? people are entitled to their opinions. Wayne http://skate.vans.com/SHOES/special.html Cool shoes IMO, but they do do some poor "boots" too. iv got an idea, why dont you ask them to make a "trainer" style Ribo with alot of coolness that more people would like to wear???(i know alot of people wear ribo/monty boots etc etc now, just a mutual idea)

Nice poster Phil. i have to admit you have done a good job with this event. Advertising in advance etc Im sure this venue will be one of many future events, im hopefully going to make the trip up there sometime to practise. Good luck with it, im sure you wont need it, iv heard from others the venue is good. Wayne.

its about the ACU insurance etc etc. clubs who hold brit champs have to be ACU affiliated for the insurance to be "correct" i think. So i take it i wont be seeing you that sunday ian? only kidding. that was a JOKE/sarcy comment for people who did not get the joke. Wayne.

maybe this is why trials is so un trendy/has no style. i take a look at people who look "kool" heres my list: Akrigg Ashton Boon (his dress sense is "different") Mike (Leedstrials) John Shrewsbury the list could go on, but them riders alone have style and a "cool" way to dress and show trials, do they wear pixie boots????? Trials looks "coolest" when people are enjoying themselves riding for the sake of riding and NOT obiding to rules and being told to buy gash looking shoes i have to watch what i say and do, where is all the fun? bring back the old days, when ashton, hawzee, akrigg, tongue etc etc turned upto comps. someone name me someone "cool" who wears pixie boots, tracksuit bottoms and a t-shirt advertising a company? you have to be sensible about the candidates too, and pictures to prove "coolness" Wayne.

dont speak too soon, im off back up shipley tomoz with ben and a few others again. it has p!553d it down ALL day today. GREAT!!!! il get some more pictures tomorrow day/eve (street ride. Wayne.

as barbara has said, the matter that "were able to have a trial" at adidngham this year is great, i hope there are trials held there next year and it re-opens for practising. I know the addingham comp will get alot of support from the members of Tykes, as the "british champ" round will/may get support from those who have championship commitments, to become brit champ etc Ian which one are you going to????i think savage is going to Addingham then riding the last brit round at Hook woods, as its 4 out of 5 count? (i think) Wayne.
-
^^ ^^ ^^ Connor, if i was you ride your bike in what you feel comfortable in. enjoy riding for ridings sake, dont dress up cuz people say they do better things, at the end of the day, its the riders ability, not anything else to do with the parts on the bike or the clothing you have got on. Wayne.
-
LMAO!!!! This cracks me up "REAL" Ribo shoes? why wheres all the fake ones? at the end of the day i only use "trials" shoes for WBC, but i have to admit, some shoes look better than others, and peoples tastes differ. i remember Ali C wearing a pair similar to these, they looked like he had slippers on!!!! the Ribo Ksas ones that are White, now they "LOOK" like a normal everyday "trainer" style shoe, the ones Ben Savage has had on. not some Monty/Koxx/Ribo pixie boot Wayne.

i need to get to Ogwen with you laddo............ See you Friday up at Shipley now and not blackpool Wayne.
