its a good idea, but you need a "background" for this to take off. with my BIU licence been taken away from me, im going to do this next year, but will be doing it through Tyke Trial, therefore will appeal to riders who attend competitions and such forth. The thing is, you need the terrain and the insurance to run events and training session like this. hence why doing it through a Bike Trial club is an idea. Im going to do it through tykes as there is a membership of over 100 people and it appeals specifically to trials riders. i think the main plan and idea like this needs, is "places" to go that others cant, if you get 30 riders turn up who are not paying how do you control it? im hoping to use Addingham Moorside, but iv still got all the talks to do with tyke trial and other companies i can advertise for through this. Wayne.

i wear that shirt all the time........ Wayne.

it may look long because the frame is so small.................maybe? i like the look of it, and the 26" is very nice, would not mind having a 26" dual disc it would be pretty kool, would have to do all the modifying and drilling that Cesar does though did look very nice, i bet Cesar weighed less than 10kg. it felt like a mod when you picked it up. Wayne.

Should be bearings................ iv not had any problems with my hubs, but from speaking to others the bearings have collapsed. Only heard of 1 axle snapping, and that was Brett Penfold. Wayne.

Most mid sized vans are going to take up more room than your average small van. if you want a van to sleep in, like Rob Poyzers is ideal, Vito's and Transporters are similar size aswell as the likes of the transit, renault traffic, vauxhall vivaro and nissan primastar, there the sort of vans you should be looking for. plus on the fuel side, i ran the aire valley van which is a primastar (nissan) and the MPG is ok, but what you got to remember is, it is bigger than your average car and not the most aero dynamic machine. id have a Vito or to something of that effect if i was to buy something to travel around in. Wayne. EDIT: Rob what miles is your Vito? and what does it cost to tax it for 12 months?

ye 2.0 Di engine is good, but will be hard to find, if not a 2.0 di try find a 1.7 DTI (16V izuzu engine in, had that in my old van i sold to Timmy in leeds)an astra you will find a good one at £2k, not your everyday white van. (which has had the everyday white van man in it!) You can remove part of the floor in the Mk4 astras too to make it more spacious. Ford Connect? transit thing, altho these will be quite expensive, Escort van if you can find a 1.8 TD model. Wayne http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VAUXHALL-ASTRA-FRIDG...1QQcmdZViewItem you will keep nice and cool in that one 2.0 Di aswell by the sounds of it. as 1700 are TD and DTI model. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ford-escort-van-td-2...1QQcmdZViewItem another tidy little number.

Ride your bike and enjoy it................ As long as you enjoy yourself at the end of the day thats all that counts. i always go home with a smile on my face if iv had a good day, like sunday, 1 section made my day and it had alot of people talking about it, it was one of those rides that i dont have very often......... 1 section made my whole day OH and the weather when it pee'd it down too. Wayne.

See you both up there, John if you/neil fancy doing anything wednesday too?????as i leave for Japan on sunday, last few rides with you lot again for a week. Wayne.

looks like someone PRO prepped that bike hehe. Does suit him, im sure the weight thing he will get used to john, one other thing that will help his little arms would be a powerball, get him using it will reduce arm pump a bit (as it started creeping in with me on sunday) il help you save weight..................front wheel remove half the spokes same with rear. pedals 1 cage, get a drill, there useful nower days. Wayne.

John will have his local "bowls" competition on thursday lol!!!! deffinatly thursday sounds good, laura is working til late. I think we need to find "another" challenge on thursday, not the big rock we spend all night playing on, and see who can do it 1st between you, john and mark. (i only want to ride a different rock, as im sick of trying the other on your kids bikes neil il end up doing myself a mischief) Wayne.

do what i do................... dont worry about it, get on with it, it honestly brings your riding on much quicker, if you have a crap rear brake (which i had at weekend, ask brett penfold!!) i just get used to riding things and using the back wheel to stop me or hold me from rolling down stuff. make trials a challenge, on a wet muddy day, if your brakes slipping, try put up with it, enjoy yourself and try "interesting" things, its good fun. Wayne.

was great to catch up with danny smith, havent seen him in ages. Ali you should have been there, propa old skool it was, like old times at addingham I hope dan gets back into it, would be good to see him make a comeback, hes a good lad with a great personality, im sure he will be polishing the dust off his "DrZebdi" trials forum account soon.......well done to JohnP for getting him to come back. Wayne.

you can see the rain in the 2nd and 3rd page(in the pictures)!!!!!! on section9. what a laff Wayne. EDIT: sorry its pages 3 and 4. Chris Boyes retired

its a shame i couldnt do it on my 2nd lap as i would have been bouncing off the wall!!!! i didnt get enough of a turn in off the slanted/sloped rock 2nd time. and ended up down the girth pile of rocks instead..........maybe it needs to rain more often, then i will ride better Wayne.

section 9 was one of them sections i got to, and just rode what my mind was thinking, the rain added a bit of "determination" to the section too, the pictures that are in the link in riding pictures give you the idea that it was LASHING it down. Thanks to everyone who made it happen, hope addingham can be re-opened soon for practise, really miss going there. All the observers did great, after the "terrential" downpour, they all still seemed to have big smiles on their faces at the end of it Neil, come up shipley, il help you get one over Mr P we will have to get some extra secret training in. We should have an organised "Training Rides" up at shipley and harden moor each week. like a wednesday/thursday night. its usually a reet good laugh. Wayne.

sorry to do this. BUT christ o mighty, some of these 26" bikes are pretty light, what parts are you running???? pimp my bike style. what you riding now waddy??? (dont be sarcy!!!!) is it an Ozony???(trying to guess from your sig) Wayne.

its his commitment to his job (night shift) and uni work through the day. Personally, i hope/think chris will be back, deffinatly a loss to many people, like others have said, an absolute top bloke and had that sense of ability to ride and make things look so easy yet silky smooth. Good luck dude, still keep in touch, im sure we can arrange to catch up over a nice chilled XXXX beer. Wayne.

20kg, ride it like i stole it, goes like s**t off a shovel. haha i woulod honestly say my bike weighs about that though, maybe being nice to her 18.5 im no weight weenie, strength and durability ***! Wayne.

Just like you peter to pull a poor joke like that out of the hat i wont edit it, il look like a RITE plank then, worse than you running ian to say you had been in training this week to catch me, you didnt do a right good job You wouldnt have caught me for love or money on section9!!! it was like i had a firework stuck Wayne.

Section9 Mr Scrivens. All sections were spot on, there was some hard ones thrown in, but at the end of the day it gave a good mix. some of the riders going to japan were riding extremly well which was good to see. The lord mayor and Mr Metcalfe had a talk with me about a few things, hopefully sometime in the short distant future we are having talks about re-opening it for use (for cyclo trials riders) i had a poor 1st lap but started better than i normally do, got through alot of the sections the only 1 proving difficult was 10, which was a world section from 05 (a 20" section at that!!!!was extremly long (Yellow route), well done to ben for getting through it!!! dont know if anyone else got through it if they did EXTREMLY well done) Cheers to the roganisers for a great day at one of my favourite venues. Wayne.
