Neil, do i get my trsuty 5 year old minder? As always neil, your write up in the KN was great, so good to have someone that spares the time to do a write up for the local paper Ilkley moor will be a GO GO next year i hope. im going up tomorrow for a picture taking session for something that will be out soon Neil, let me know when your next out with the kids? OAPeacock do the same (oldie) god what a score Wayne. -
its also the difference between "street" and "natural" short and streety or long for natural. Wayne.

EOAP Ilkley moor!!!! im up for convincing the guy that it would be a good venue. good for all age categories too (i think). Wayne. PS John your more than 36/37!!!! anyway get yourself out and not ont lash. you always whine about not getting out on the bike. sacrifice the beer for one night and get out and feel good -
as steve has said he has chose the product to develop wisely. there is alot of choice and options in the UK market. in fact so much so, as someone above has mentioned, the difference between a short and a long is the wheelbase, then other geo such as b/b height etc differs between the models. so between all the deng stuff there is a bike that pretty much suits anyone and everyone. i think the problem at the moment is, that his frames are not the "lightest" around and someone looking for that more "niche" orientated product that is lighter etc customers are buying products such as koxx and Monty. Trials nower days needs more thought and effort in buying a frame, as opposed to a couple of years ago when you had X,Y and Z to choose from. dont get me wrong this is great, but for the novice rider getting into it you just need to say "this is what you need" as opposed to "if you do this that and the other you need this, or if you do that this and t'other, you need this 1" Wayne. El muelio for Steve @ HSB to make a 26" frame he sort of needs an order and guarantee that the Geo put to the bike he develops is what the "majority" or the trials market would buy into. im going to be riding a 1090 wheelbase bike for 2008 that has been designed around World Champions, but il just have to adapt to the Geo. i wish to ride this bike as i really like the look of the bike.

"The OAPs of the Tyketrail club, John Peacock and Neil Raven, propped up the bottom end of the intermediate class at the ripe old ages of 37 and 38 - but had a great time doing so" LMSAO!!!!! that is purely great. what a laugh. id be pretty pleased to know who wrote it, but i think it could be mr Raven! if not it would be kool to know who did when you next out Mr OAPeacock? fancy a do on sunday? at 4pm? Wayne. -
Dont weld it, it will just make it weaker, i have seen a couple of these frames with this mark there and they dont break or snap. Like Ian said, just leave it and ride it, if you weld it you deffinatly void ANY warranty you may have (obviously if the bike is younger than this one is) iv had frames welded in the past and the problem you have is after welding it becomes weaker as the alloy is heated up and just turns into putty, a bit like bending a mech hanger, when you straighten it its weaker, then snaps. i was there!!!! for once in my life i have been helpful. went up this morning with the local council lanscape guy, was really kool and was very good about it. Im sure this venue/competition will turn around somewhere near the maximum entry. Cant wait, some great ground work has been done by Barbara to get this venue!!!! hopefully there will be more NEW venues to come in the very near future some of my favourite practise grounds too. Wayne. -
not as rude as half of those old people at that meeting last night!!!! wont be doing another one of them meetings john. Great ride on sunday sam hopefully catch up with the "oliver clang" in wales soon. Wayne.
-
^^ dont worry we will do, new venue and one of my fave practise grounds. aint been at a competition for a long time Wayne.

Tim and his co workers are designing parts around riders, a bit like Kona, kona design bikes around their sponsored riders, NOT around big chief who wants to make £200K just for picking a frame and its components out of a book. More so products and brand like this are very rare and limited, therefore the more rider input it gets the better the product will be. im sure tim and co have their fair share of riders to help with the components they are designing. my cousin got a trials bike, came out with me a few times, then got in with the wrong crowd at school. he came out riding a couple of times being an absolute A$$! so i told him where to get off, and not to bother me until he can actually be a decent lad. aint spoken to him since i feel that Ash has got a valid point and that he had a bad day and just wanted to express himself, after all it is a "forum" where people can express their opinions and ait their views Wayne.

Kool. Cheers for the results. Ali you keep knocking on about Andrei having a "broken" hand, if it was broken he would be in that much pain he wouldnt be able to grip the bar, how do i know? i have done it! plus that was well over 5/6 weeks ago, he has been riding on it since though. Well done to Andrei and to everyone else who competed and did well. John im about all the time you just got to bell me. went out other night wi boyes and boothy and got pi$$ wrapped up oakworth quarry which was a good laugh. Let me know if your out on the XC bikes too, just bought meself a new Marin Mt Vision 08'. Wayne.

just was curious to results etc etc????? Wayne.

BO**OX it doubled posted. anyway, i didnt want mine to seem like an "old" gits post, as im 24 today, but revel-bikes has got it spot on, discipline in school and at home needs to be brung back. i was speaking to my nanna about stuff like this this morning, i spoke to her about one of our "out of control cousins" but the behaviour starts with discipline and control at home. Wayne.

thats so funny, we dont have half of that up here. but for the people that i have had a problem with, confront them, let them know what you think of them. dont forget, if your older than them you cant just go slapping them around, say something, if they keep doing it move on and leave them to be dicks on their own. iv done it to 3 or 4 lads around here, you dont tend to see them riding for long as they soon get the hint. some people do it to look/act kool in front of older lads, some do it as (as someone else said, the new generation of kids just run wild! this is the PARENTS fault, as they wont control them and will not put some ground rules down) an everyday thing as these people are just pure arseholes, but trust me, the world is full of people with different views/morals. Wayne.

i take what i said in a post above. the bikes RRP was £1800.00 last year. BUT they did alter the RRP in this country, VAT and import duty etc just ruins this country!!! id hope that the pricing would be quite competative against other manufacturers, but they have deffinatly made a strong forward movement with the development of the 2008 bikes. Wouldnt mind owning one of those 26" bikes Wayne.
-
i would have guessed that the full bike would be around £1400/1500, £2000 is the RRP of my new marin mt vision!!!! Wayne.

just received some bb's at the shop, look nice, like tim has said its not about the weight of something but "IMO" in this sport it is the durability of something. i for one am not a rider to complain about componentry that is more designed specifically for trials as there is a good degree of thought usually gone into it. i know that Tim and fellow co workers have put time and effort into their products which they produce. Trials lacks enough people like Tim who are putting alot of time and effort into the design of trials parts, other suppliers usually copy/re-brand or just randomly choose items to produce with no testing taking place, which can be a products down fall, a product can be great for 3 months but after that it goes pete tong. JUST one question from me, does MOE stand for something? or is it a name that you have used for preference? Wayne.
-
i thort there was only 2 onza teams? looks like it should be a good do. would be good to see like in past events if you could get the likes of Giacomo and Gilles Coustellier etc, or Dani Comas and Cesar Canas? so you'd have a koxx and monty team? it would make things very interesting. Wayne.
-
its weird that, because hook woods is on the perimeter of the "outbreak" yet it is affecting land/competitions that are further away. it would be much more appreciative for the people who are going to be making the travel to hook woods to hear it from a committee member, as it has got exceptionally bad this week foot&mouth. it usually kicks off around 10/10.30 am Jonny Wayne.
-
its like someone else has said...... montys DID look dated, do you think they have been brought into the 21st century with the addition to the team of Kenny Belaey? i think it is! Like the bike and the 26" looks great, would love to own one, specially with the rear disc i think the 26" is going to be disc&HS33. Paint looks good too, iv just ordered a 2008 Marin Mt Vision XC Full sus bike and thats a white pearl colour similar to colour of this. (EDIT: the colour at the front of the bike) Wayne.

ye, whats the score with the F&M? as it started in surrey. YET the most prestigious cyclo cross event up in yorkshire (the 3 peaks) has been cancelled due to foot and mouth, and alot of motor trials have been cancelled too???? it would be an idea just for someone to 100% confirm that this event is on before people start making tracks down?????? specially after the season thats trials has had. with cancellations and re-jigging of events etc. Wayne.

big respect to them guys, they have got all the best parts etc over there, yet they use basic V brakes and cheap disc hubs etc. that 26" bike pic of the lad fixing the puncture. i remember them days all of 6 years ago when i couldnt have magura's as they were so expensive. nice pictures mate. Wayne.
