  3. Hi all, does anyone know a supplier called "Bosco" there a motorbike company? and someone has e-mailed me about getting them some gloves, its a long shot but i just thought i would ask and see if anyone knows about them? so i can either re-direct this customer or get him a set of the gloves he requires. Regards Waynio......................
  4. Joe was it your mum that was sat to me? well at the side of me n you sort of thing? or were you sat in front of barbara and mick buck? just so i can remember which lad you were? Also thank your mam for putting her name forward for a position, if she needs any help tell her to buzz me (Y) she can always catch me at the shop. Waynio.....................
  5. awards ceremony aint even been contemplated yet. everything still needs alot going into it, there is a couple of positions at tyke trial that are "EXTREMLY" important still not taken i had put my name down for it but quite alot of the comittee said it wouldnt be a good idea as the person that took the role COULD NOT! ride their bike at the competitions. so in thweory needs to be a parent, its a position that holds alot of trust too as it is to check all the forms that are sent to tyke trial before processing. a couple of MAJOR issues that are probably going to be put into perspective will be the following: 1) Entry forms MUST be sent in on time, if you dont the simple thing would be NO RIDE!!! this is due to alot of time and effort that goes into sorting things out, in and amongst last year i know i did this a few times and now i think it is more important to really hype up that tyke trial will possibly have over 200 members cut off is 130 riders at each event. so were hoping that people will be put on waiting lists like they were around 2-3 years ago. 2) we need alot of help from observers and parents to just give "Observing" a go. alot of respect is due to the people that do this job and they wont be put under much pressure by riders as the observers decisionis final! unless you get the clerk of course to solve an issue which rarely happens! I want to say a big thanks to a couple of people in particular for last year and thats Carol Slinger and Allan Slinger, i dont think people realised that these 2 people weere literally doing the job of somewhat 10 people still would struggle to do!!!!!! all the people that helped at tykes last year too get a big thanks also as the competitions wouldnt run without them. Hopefully everyone or most will be turning upto the competition at "Back Qown Quarry" on sunday and we'll see you all there. A few new locations for 2005 and hopefully a few more for 2006 should be on the cards, its jsut about getting in touch with landowners and sorting some kind of agreement out with them to get to use the land needed. New Hub

april time for them i spoke to hope yesterday they are waiting on the new "Retaining clip" that holds the pawls in. they sound pretty bob on. Waynio......................
  7. Shimano DX pedals all the way.............. if your spending £50 that is. look how nice they are but most of all if you do alot of UCI maybe when your not battering the pedals too much these are extremly light and grippy. you can even screw the pins in or out for adjustment for grip. Waynio.................... the other pedals just from pictures apart from the 24/7 "Toast" pedal look an overkill.

    Ben Savage

Ben suits both bikes! no matter what he rides he has mind blowing power and confidence!!!! i dont need to see the video to believe how good this lad is!!!! just check results out from all of last year......im sure il see it later tonight at lee's though. PS please people dont moan about natural!!!!you seriously dont know how much harder it is than street, the moves may not look as impressive but just go upto some of the natural stuff n where you'd bunny hop or wall ride sumot you aint got a chance! thats where natural improves riders much more..............any body can do street but can every body do natural?????? Waynio......................... we should have a Street Versus Natural Video competition :) (Y) im sure the street may be "Extreme & BIG" but does all that mean that it makes the video great? if you put a bit of soft music to a bit of natural you get a quality vid! or even a slightly more aggressive song but nothing too head bangin!!!! street needs that kind of song to make the atmosphere of the moves stand out at you...................

  10. yo trials tom s the Xen is a combitnation of the E2 and the Semi mx giving the structure of the Semi MX BUT using a similar "Roc-Loc" design to the giro E2. the only thing is,im not keen on using "Piss pot" type helmets The 2005 Xen (which im due from Giro) has a Roc-Loc 4 design which is the same roc loc thats in my 2004 (limited edition E2) as the roc loc 3 i didnt get on with that well, but the sizing is loads better on the roc loc 4 and the feel is nicer much more comfortable. helmets are something you really need to try before you buy. even just putting your mates on is a good start to see how it fits and feels. personally the roc loc 3 didnt feel right to me, probably cos of the shape of the back of my head, others it will fit perfect. its personal choice and preference. i dont wanna feel uncomfortable when riding my bike so il always buy something that feels nice. Onza boy mark, if you wanna try my Medium Xen in silver/gunmetal colour i will send it to you and you can see how it fits if you like? as that particular Xen i paid for (Y) as my E2 and new Xen i might not have to pay for. Pm me if you like? send me your addy if you wanna try it but as i say i wont charge you to try it as long as you send it back :D which i trust you to do. Waynio............................
  11. your deffo looking at the best helmet on the market............. iv had 3 E2's and would not go back to any thing else. iv got a Xen which i just dont use any more cos the E2 feels sooooooooo close and comfortable. altho the Xen is more suited to the Trials looks its fits nearly as nice BUT there is something about the E2 that keeps making me go back for more....... like adam says try helmets on you may find different helmets fit different at the end of the day we dont all have the same shape head, for my pea head the E2 is deffinatly the best and most comfortable fitting lid on the market........also 1 of the most expensive.......... Also Giro/Bell offer half price replacement on the Helmets if crashed......... you dont really wanna be thinking of doing that though. just think positive and you wont fall off :D :D (Y) Waynio......................
  12. the younger lads want to pull the bigger moves to be seen............. so the likes of CLS and Neil tunni..........will be weatched more by the most of us i would have thort and ali clarkson.........nice to see some young blood coming through! it will also be very inspiring for these lads to be riding with their idles or people that are world champions..............my personal opinion anyway. Akkers Ashton Hawzee i think are my main 3 as all of the above i can look upto and think bloody hell what a good job you have done on trials in this country!!!!! now my list would still be the same 3 i would just have to add to the list like Hermance cesar canas ot pi etc etc you get the gist, but when you start thinking well wait a mo............. Tunni CLS Dan Smith Phil williams Ali C Rowan (impressed me sumot rotten in bristol last year on roadtrip!!!) Berridge they all have their individual style altho i would like to say Tunni n CLS are very equvalent but on different sized bikes. Wikid style to them all though........... you can miss alot of names off list but others that impress me and i enjoy riding with are the likes of John Shrewsbury, Gav Bedford, Ivor from porthcawl..... Most of the lads iv ridden with on roadtrips or even local rides........theres some impressive lists on here though..... Waynio.............................. it makes me wonder how many people would like to meet their "Top riders" and what they would give to ride with them? i certainly am extremly lucky with being able to ride and have ridden in the past with riders such as Akrigg,Ashton,Hawzee,Tongue,Kurt Brain and its a privelege that they come on my list due to them being so inspiring when riding with them, all have great enthusiam to the sport and extremly great advice! :D :D :D (Y)
  13. yo mark, the echo/zoo 20" mod forks lower the front end more so in theory make it feel nicer in my opinion, i dont know why onza dont just make there steel forks shorter to make them feel like the echo/zoo forks that cost like £70 or summit. would make the bikes look nice and feel so much better too. it helps cos: 1) lowers front end 2) makes it easier hooking stuff 3) makes it easier to go upto a wall and put the front wheel on without it throwing you off the back. if you call it wheel swopping or swithcing......... 4) drops the b/b a little bit (sort of better for antural getting your cranks down if your a biu person) 5) usually the echo/zoo forks will make the biek shorter wheel base Waynio............................ iv seen a few t-pros in the shop with echo/zoo forks on and i think they look alot nicer, same should happen with the t-mag n t-lite. the problem with loong forks is more pressure goes through them so they more reknown for snapping (alloy with bonded steerer espeically) they also bend easier if the dont snap cos of the leverage on them. seen plenty like it...........
  14. Martin T! thats a perfect example........... when we was out in keighley riding AROUND the war memorial the police came along. we didnt scatter and we waited to see what they had to say, i was playing on a rail to rail which was like at the side near a little car park area where the police had parked. they came up to us and said "now then, please dont ride on the war memorial" so we all agreed took no serious attitude with it, and said "ye thats kool" and as they turned to go away they turned back around to us and goes "you dont have to stop, lets see you do that" pointed to the 2raisl i was playing on, in mind this was a rail to rail bout 7 3/4ft static and wasnt the easiest thing to line up on, attempt after attempt battering the rail a few times with me bashguard after slipping back the copper didnt really mind, they do know that somethings you can get away with but others you cant, walls like the memorial if we'd have gone jumping on the memorial they'd have fliiped and so they would have had the right to if we had already been told. so after about 10mins i finally nailed the rail and the coppers were impressed, we even all had our photo's took with the coppers!!!! thats how kool they can be about it. if you take the upper hand on the situation and think your 10 places above god in the world league standings your literally screwed. best thing to do is 1) never run away!!!! the more you do this the more they think and will persume you WERE doing damage and on purpose!!!! 2) listen for god damns sake to what they have to say, you may sometimes end up half educated. on the other hand they may be in a foul mood BUT then revert to rule number 3 3) never back mouth bad to them,be nice ad you'll get your time to explain what you were doing if you tell them in a nice manner or a friendly manner YOU will be listened to. 4) the police sometimes want to be on your side, if your in the town centre not doing any damage and there is a few thugs on bikes (cheap crap bikes or stolen bikes) and the police are looking for them THEY will ask you questions and be polite and they will take what you say to them in. an example of number 4! in shipley 1 night after work (were in the town centre 4 of us on trials bikes) we didnt know there had been a mugging take place letting on that we had JUST got there 5mins previous. the police are patrolling round and come over to us, they hold and take away "Flash" who is on the forum, just taking in were just riding around not really causing any controvosy at the mo. comes back 10mins later were all baffled andf dont know what to think having a bit of a laff in the meantime... the copper drops flash back off.............in this time i had spotted 4 lads on shit full suspension bikes and said to the other 2 of us that were there, "i hate people like that, there the people that give us the bad name!" i just had an incline that they were dodgy. so flash comes back gets out of cop car and looking dissapointed. comes over and tells us the story of whats happened.........i said to him "F**K ME!" it must have been them lads we had seen, so be it when the police were scouting around and driving by we were pissing bout tyre tapping wealls and doing a few moves as the "Scallys" who had robbed the old lady were watching us, as the police drove past they skooted faster than saying "SCUM!" and i just had to do it!i went down the road to 1 of the police cars and stopped in the middle of the road with my bike. he told me to get out of the middle of the road,so i did told him we had seen the lads. he took it in and listened got a couple more cop cars out, i next saw them and followed them, then rung flash to tell 1 of the coppers where i was n where they were..............i rode back to the town centre and the coppers were hot on the tail of the lads who had robbed the old lady.................. see its not all bad.................. but thats a long shot but you get the idea that lads on bikes in town centres sometimes can look as if they are causing trouble. so please FOR me as a trials rider if caught by the police please dont run, if you dont run your more innocent that guilty, they know if you run you've done something wrong if you stay there they think wait a minute there not as bad as what were thinking they'll come over have a quick talk and take it in n they'll be reyt as rain with you. Waynio................................ ps a quality essay there for you...........but the example ARE REAL!!!!Ask bucky cos he was there when flash got arrested i think n the other person was fruitbat.
  15. also if you think back a few years boyz and girlz im pretty sure like 99% sure that Martyn was the 1st person to design a trials frame with that kinked top tube design and since that (after it has been designed n put in the taiwanese bible) every one else has copied it "Capich" people should look at martyns bike and see alot more to it than "oh its just another 1" or "its just another one that looks just like such n such" when in theory martyn's bike was the 1st to come out looking as PIMP as it does!and as for black..........its the fastest colour around.........id happily go outside now and swill my "W" reg Astra van in Black Hammerite.......just for the funnies. i know people have different opinions, but it just gets to me a little bit when there saying one bike looks like another when originally (unless someone could prove me wrong. im not putting it past anyone) but id never buy a Zoo or a frame with a kinked top tube like marts as id rather support the some what to me original designer of one of the best looking trials frame on the market. Waynio................. ps thats only my opinion i dont want to cause an arguement........i was even looking at an old mbuk the other day at the 1st company that tried to copy the ashton design think they were called "Nasa" or sumit and they made the frame outta carbon. Looked good but not as good as the "Original" Ashton...
  16. That IS a fast bike.................................. i cant wait to get mine :( Waynio.................... ps at £250 smakkers i think martyn's 1st batch will be sold out before it has even landed!!!!!
  17. blimey charlie!!!!! i cant believe my name is on the list............... would be great to ride the bike show........... good luck to all the lads already riding it. well done ali for getting in i think an experience like this doesnt come along very often and the riders that go in there will do a great job. im always pleased to go out on rides and be with riders that are so dedicated to the sport and its quite exciting when you get to ride with "Pro's" and i think that every one on this forum and other trials riders are happy to have the guys that have helped get trials up to this level. there is another thread on here and about the actual list of riders and its a very impressive and great mixture of riders.........people should be grateful for the likes of mart and mart for doing all they do for the sport to me they are a big influence on me riding trials along with akrigg who i work with.................. someone bangs on about their list of "Top" riders and its a DREAM list, people need to understand it costs ££££ to get people to get to these events. and the odd good and quality trials rider in and amongst is awesum................ Waynio................................. i put many thanks to the people like Martyn Ashton, Martin Hawyes for organising events like the bike show where you get to see and meet all your fav riders. Akkers for getting me into it all them years ago..............well 4 years ago it is.
  18. club roost 1'ds!!!! there the best..........caged pedals going sterength and durability is far better than the VP pedals so yes they are £28 or summit but they hold alot more strength. more than twice the price but deffinatly worth the money!!!! if you look closely most of the time, hawse n ashton have the club roost peds (well i seem to remember them having when iv ridden with them) they are heavier than the VP but are alot stronger, weight for strength............. pinned pedals are good but if your doing alot to crank or pedal they tend to drop out. unless you tek all of 1 side out then use only 1 side with pins in. Waynio........................... can anyone remember the club roost 2d's!!!! they were the best caged pedals going with good bearing and cages lasted forever but were near £40.00!!!!! bring em back i say.......
  19. Hawzee is boss at all times! Many thanks to martin for doing it, as most of the people going to the worlds will know it probably wouldnt go ahead without a person doing the job. Thanks to martin it will all be fine and dandy (Top Bloke!)................ Waynio...........................

    Tyke Trial

Dont worry bout the tyke trial thing............. Trust me. Tykes will continue just waiting on a few things to clear the air. iv spoken to barbara wright and most of the other tyke trial comittee members and im 100% sure that the club WILL indeed carry on. this has all come about over something quite serious that is why it is in quite a serious situation. :D but as i said everyone is pulling there own weight and everyone knows how much they want the club to continue so as jerry springer would put it "these are the final thoughts" really words of wisdom :D :D TYKE TRIAL WILL CONTINUE!!!!! possibly with the 2nd round in march. Waynio............................. EDIT if it doesnt continue there will be alot of un happy chappies :D
  21. iv got an old piccy of my escort thats for sale and bucky got a better piccy of the van the other night too. those arospeed wheels are nice as you say though there musnt be much to the laquer. im going to take them off and either get them coded to the white of the van just the outer edge or just get em laquered more. ps if you look at the arch at the passenger wheel you can see where it pulled the arch out due to the wheels being too big :) well maybe lowering it too much could have been the problem :S Waynio............................
  22. bucky i njeed a room for me n leeio!!!! haha if you have the number tx me it ASAP me n lee sharing a bed what a wikid idea for the lil lad! anyway im on the same thing as Josh my navman needs the post code and big thanks to "Spunky monkey boy" for organising the event! im sure plenty of people will thank him on the night. but hey its taken alot of organisation and well done to that man!!!!!! Waynio.......................... lee your going to have to try sort sumot out 2neyt like booking a room or summit? cos am well busy.............ring me l8rz
