at tykes we have never had this problem before as in rule number three untill i would say sundays competition and onza boy mark you knock the nail on the head mate!i will again say you are a top bloke. some people do my tits in especially when there all F***** n blinding. and the national last year at devon was my 1st ever and i didnt even know what/notice that people were being competative???? might just have been me being nervous about it being my 1st brit round though. i didnt think at any of the others there was any competative probs? but hey thats what this topic is all about i just want to know why people may or may not be able to make it to a competition. trnasport is a big thing, if i had a bus i would take everyone with me! would make it more fun and chilling and i think everyone would get on apart from K**BH**DS. cheers for all the feedback boys and girls ladies and gents. Waynio.................... please keep them coming.......................

yo mark just going back to your post. BIU is only for British rounds and world rounds that is the only reason you would need to hold this license. IF you had an accident at a YMSA round surely there is some kind of Compensation available? the reason the ACU comes into it is purely to cover you in any instance of injury and if something stopped you working for say 3-4months i think this is where the ACU comes into it? i might need cleanbikes to put something in this one as barbera will know the most about the ACU but £10 a year for acu for just in case kinda thing is deffintaly worth it. if yo broke your leg at a competition you have injury pay? i think it works like this. but as i say i could do with barbera confirming it. regards waynio................ please people keep the post's coming.

Could people please post in this thread the follwing: 1) if they would like to do competition trial through a club?(like tyke trial for Example) 2) Why they cant? 3) if they want to go,but dont want to as they think that people outcast them? trying to pick on them?thinking that your not going to be accepted but wanting to do it kinda thing (this is the edited part,i didnt want it to sound as though fellow riders would do this to any of the new lads!as it is completly different!everyone is friendly and helpful.) I think in my opinion the majority of people dont turn up to competitions is due to number 3? i think people would enjoy competitions if they were more relaxed about things. i would like to see new faces at more and more events and i myself will be the 1st to admit i would love to travel to some of the YMSA events too. its just with work and the commitment i have with tyke trial i am finding it hard at the moment but as things keep moving on and getting better, i was just wanting to get some feedback from other members of the forum? as well as myself going round in any time that i have to myself either when riding or even calling people to come out riding im trying to get more and more member to come to the events. all your help is grateful boys and girls, ladies and gentlemen. i know quite alot of people will struggle with the transport side of things? but are people still interested in this forum in seeing their Idol's? so for example if chris Akrigg and martin hawyes wer riding tyke trial events would it pull more and more people in? i myself would think it would as the mums and dads usually like to get talking to the pro elite riders as well as the kids watching and talking to them too?i just want to get some feedback to see why and how we can make getting to and making people more interested in competition trials? Also please take into account that in July (i think, well pretty sure) there is a world round up@ addingham moorside? this is also one of the venues kids can practis on and also compete on through the tyke trial competition? Also on sunday (at the last tyke trial event) we had a fantastic appearance from a brother of a koxx world team rider which was great to see and i must say thank you to Fred savage for bringing Wesley Bealay (sp) along to the competition. Yes a bit of a netter but please people put your replys into this thread. Regards Waynio........................ i think people must take into line too you get to meet some of the up and coming stars of the trials world at events too, Ben Savage Ben Slinger, James Hyland all those 3 are UK and World champions!!!!!! other up and coming stars james little brother!!!Ali C who rode the bike show?and is brit champ, there are so many more to name yet i just cant get them all down................

iv just gone from one extreme to the other, 5weeks ago i was using a justice 1040ish then a woodstock 1050 on the nose and now on a koxx levelboss (1065 thats 1100) and doing wheel swaps you can just get sooooooooooo much closer to the wall then do what adam says and bobs your uncle its amazing what that extra length can do, but i remember having a go on someones levelboss 1065 when they were 1065 and it was amazing how much better it was to wheel swop on that then! (jonno's bike it was) Waynio........................... it is about practice and technique.................

£25 i was quoting for a Hope DISC hosing (braided) not the magura stuff, £30 is for the goodridge magura hosing JUST the rear length not the actual crossover. Waynio....................... Also tartys pric is correct for the stainless steel hope stuff :D (Y) i dont want there to be any arguements over it.............. i was on about the disc only stuff. sorry if anyone crossed wires on that 1  :)

spot on too "Mad_Gavo" :P its not right good having to sit at a shonky computer watching vidoes all the time, sometimes nice so sit back relax have a few bevvys and watch a vid :P :P Waynio....................... i can remember when i bought "Manifesto" on DVD and we all went round to a friends house got plenty of pizza's and curries in and plenty of beers, wo mint as hell. shame it took us longer to eat than the DVD wo on. but the koxx one is an hour long (Y)

yo dude i dont think that was called for. ben is just advertising the fact that he has spent alot of time making a vid and has made this particular vid for the last couple of years?...........no one has had any complaints about those? so i dont see why this would be different. if you dont buy it you dont buy it? but will the editing be as good? will the footage be as good? you wont know cos you wont buy! Waynio.....................

the 90mm EA50 stem and the high rise EA50 bars should raise you up a bit? BUT if you have cut your forks off too short then you will struggle, the best way on setting your bike up is if you get the correct position on one bike keep it the same on another EVEN if it means leaving the forks full length and putting 3x 20mm spacers in!!!!!! its all about being comfortable with the height of the handlebars off the ground. if you measure your bars from the floor to one of the sides and see trial/error with it asnd find the best position possible even if it means buying new forks to try it. i got my new koxx through yesterday and set it all up with the same style set up as my old bike. info below: Bars off ground are 37.5 inches. (floor to centre of grip) My boss does this alot to get his road bike position JUST to give you an example. He dangles a piece of string with a pencil attached to the end and slides his saddle forwards and back to get his EXACT position!it might sound fiddly and a pain in the arse, i laughed my head off at it, but then when you start doing something similar you think! there is reason behind the matter. and ever since i have taken his advice on how to set a bike up specifically! and it truly works, just as another point if i get on anyone elses bike i cant ride it cos i am soooooooooooooo used to riding a similar if not same set up for like months on end, even if i rode someones bike for a day without my own set-up i cannot ride the bike. people might think its so un true but just try it for a day when you have had a bike set up (bars stem and height off ground) for so long and you'll see what i mean. Waynio............................. Koxx Levelboss 1085 (mine measures 1100 but feels short!) wipes the floor! long bikes make natural easier BUT street could be difficult (yet to find this out)

Just to let people off here know that the parking on sunday is limited....... PLEASE USE BRIMHAM ROCKS NATIONAL PARK CAR PARK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is due to the field being totally water logged. i got in touch with Mr Fothergill tyhe farmer last night and he has said that we cant use it due to the field being in a bad state and most of us would get stuck their too!!!!!! For the people that dont see this we will be there ealry on sunday morning re-directing people to park in the national trust car park. Thanks everyone who see this. Waynio........................

i dont think people will be dissapointed at £15!!!!From what i saw was filmed it will be worth every penny. im pretty sure this has got that insane drop and some extra insane street riding aswell as alot of the competition action too......... Waynio.......................

;) if you knew what i knew about a vinco then it would be funny!!!!!!!! cos i think them vincos are the dogs BOLL*X if you ride a vinco they dont feel long cos of the high b/b.......... you ride an 1100 levelboss and they feel long cos of the b/b not being high enough. Waynio................... 1115 of a vinco when i rode one and then got bak on my 1055 and the vinco felt shorter cos of the cockpit......... altho when i was on it people would look and think i was a lepricaun on a bike (Y)

he has rogerd it! it was one o my old hubs and when iv looked at it, he snapped two pawls rode it with them in there the ratchet has chewed up and rekons that he can fix it! i remember breaking a ratchet in my very first profile and when i sent it back they cudnt get the sod out (due to it being stripped) but they wa having none of it being stripped!!!!! but the bearings in profile hubs are absolute DOG SH1T! your best going to your local BEARING SUPPLIER and paying over the odds for them (altho profile charge over the odds for them anyway!) and getting a couple of 6508 2rs bearings or what ever the number is........trust me your better with a PROPER bearing in there instead of some cheap taiwanese OR some stupid american bearing that is only designed to be ridden in dry conditions.........only my opinion though. but trust me iv had like 3-4 profile hubs and i aint had many problems, my first was the rathcet and the only other prob i had was a full set of bearings in a hub that went in like 2weeks!!!!! as i absolutly thrashed about on the bike for a week just doing stupid stuff. but the bearings in my opinion are a tad on small side a bit like isis b/b wrong bearing for the wrong job. Waynio.............................. Wray dont be a weasel and just use the god damn hope OR lock the profile out and get a front freewheel, at least it puts the wheel to some use (Y) ;) il poss see you tonight on the new steed (Y) (Y)

ALSO Caisso had one on his bike but like pointing upwards or downwards and so did Beleay. its a French thing............... but it works, i think its quite a simple thing to do but actually making a fitting for it to fit better than a zip tie would be better.........just so you know when riding a world round or a british championship that you dont catch it and pop the zip tie then its knakerd (Y) Waynio..................

the forks may be too short mate........... as the reefer is the same as a T-raptor and they have long headtubes something stupid like 5/6 inches i seem to remember that on the barracuda's thay had around a 4/5 inch steerer tube, you will be cutting it fine i think. not 100% but i seem to remember when we had barracuda's at Aire Valley, and we do onza's and the t-raptor same as reefer is mega long headtube. Waynio.....................

yo dude, iv run EA50 riser bars (high) and an EA50 forged stem (90mm by 10degrees) with the bars correctly set up you just ask most people on here that have ridden my bike, i have swopped them between bikes 2-3 times now and it makes the bike feel similar to all the other bike even though the geo is different, instead of changing you bar position it changes your riding posture. and for a leeson with it being a street style bike i would advise you try it? and the EA50 stuff aint too expensive £30 for bars IF that and £40 for a stem IF that. Waynio............................

your spot on steve, i also heard from a reliable source that Goodridge hosing is produced for hope by themselves. Hope hosing is £25.00 and comes with all the fixtures and fittings to do one brake. I personally feel its by far the best looking hosing on the market and everyone raves bout the goodridge stuff, so if anyone winges about the hope stuff you would also winger about the goodridge stuff too! as it comes from the same place. The goodridge magura stuff is £30.00 JUST for the pipe from lever to piston NO crossover!!!! now thats a rip off!!!!! Waynio....................... the hosing does look nicer it has to work better (on Dot4 or dot5 fluid) or it wouldnt have been designed? Magura fluid being mineral based is thicker therfore travels slower and not as well through the smaller holes, unless (Y) someone tries what im thinking of trying............................ im going to put Dot4 in a magura and see how long it takes to ruin the seals in the lever and caliper (probably not long) but if it works any better is the main test.

yo ben, i will see you sunday hopefully with my new bike ;) and have a see bout getting one of these DVD off you, i seem to remember quite alot of mint footage being filmed? What is that chap ben that was out with me and you hyland and Tra? when me n lee got there? i always forget his name, he was poss around your dads age? hes kool as nuts and if hes at the comp on sunday will have a word with him. but iv not seen him at tyke trials before? Cheers Ben. Waynio.......................

or you could just get a Rohloff tensioner like i have squash the Sh1t outta it when you land on it and all it does is say "do it again!!!!!" it just is unbreakable its £50 and iv landed on it with all my weight not snapped a hanger and not even snapped the tensioner (Y) :- it looks pimp too fast black and sits flush with the frame. instead of standing out proud like the DMR tensioner (apart from the new STS simple tension seeker as that doesnt hold tension if you land on it, as the tensioner spoken about above stands out proud like a normal mech would if you get my drift. send it today chris to the secretary of tyke trial i think its sue scriven!!!! you will 99% be able to ride if you get your arse into gear!!!!!! there will be a few changes to how the trials are run............. mainly due to people taking advantage of the time limit given on sending entries in! so for example on sunday...........if you turn up on the day expecting to ride, dont expect to pay £8 expect to pay £12! IF you keep abusing the system it will be increased at the AGM last night i didnt understand just HOW much effort goes into getting a trial on its feet. since i joined the commitee and became apart of tyke trial it is extrmely hard and time consuming for the people involved WE DONT GET PAID FOR IT either its all due to keeping the sport going in this area as we do have the best and possibly the biggest trials area going. so please people just get your stuff done early rather than later. Cheers Waynio...................... we need more riders in the club too, going back 3-4years there were over 200 members and trials were FULL!!!!!! cut off at 130 riders and now it doesnt even get to that stage, the club has probably only just got 130 members never mind entrants!!!!!! :P :ermm: :P so lets all not look puzzled and just do things as and when we can..........sooner rather than later, it doesnt take much for people to give in to putting all the effort in as we saw when tyke trial nearly folded at the begining of the year but it doesnt take much for new faces to get involved and help out. :P :P

il back flip a vinco for you  LMAO! i wish.............. but a vinco will be it etha.............. Waynio.....................
