you know when your grind is good cos it literally could leave splinters of metal in your fingers. its about just touching and catching the edge of it, the more the grinder is in contact with the rim the more it will flatten the grind off.it just needs touching or putting over a bin and let it jump and vibrate about and it will be ok.it'll give a craking grind. i didnt want this to turn into a topic that everyone said something even though they dont have them just wondered who had them???? but hey its ok, no real drama its turned into a good topic and plenty of feedback from plenty of people and a few questions about them. i just really wanted to know the people that had them if they were getting on with them? and the people that werent i would like to know why they werent or cant get on with them? cheers people. keep the posts coming and thanks for the replies so far. Capich................. Waynio........................ the mono trial rocks the trials world  (Y) it also stops you quick, plenty of power super fast.

No even with a new bash plate on. come on if you cant see the blinking scratches down the chainstays and the dints and scratches in the down tube you have got a problem with your eyes????look just read collys last post about it at the bottom of page 8! good example there. Waynio....................... at least someone sees it from more than one perspective

NSE home page Waynio.................. yes it is koxx.co.uk but its the home of NSE. there is another phone number too i have which i dont know if others can use. but the correct number is the one above. i have a more "normal" phone number.

cheers colly. i mainly was thinking of if you broke off mudguards and sumps and stuff. like this guy has done. completly mis shaped the bash plate which has caused the frame to break. Waynio.

you could go to your local frame builder and ask him to kindly produce you one for around £300-400. steep headangle will throw you over the front more, thats the feeling i get when im on Echo's. as my koxx must have a slacker headangle and feels more stable to me but thats probably cos am a short ass on a long bike. altho my 1100 is longer than 1060 and 1080 pures and feels short top tube wise. Waynio........................ its all about which geometry suits you best Sorry (EDIT) is it the flexy feel of steel that keeps you riding it????steel that is?
-
very similar colly. i can get monday off *iv got bad cramp from the trial yesterday* (Y)" il sort something out pat so i can get the monday off? then we can go riding? you staying in a hotel or B+B up here? if so il show you the ropes if you like?a bit of totty in skipton i think.................easy pulling sesh......hehe. could even take them back to where you staying for a night  Waynio.............................

a dont need ta calm down lad. i just need other fellow trials forum members to actually see daylight and see things from another point of view instead of being selfish and from their own point of view all the time. Waynio....................... the bash plate has been well abused to me. i had a t-pro in that had cracked and the bash plate literally was nakerd! the customer said that it should have took more use than that. if onza didnt have the half price replacement people would take a different respect to their bikes. they wouldnt go stupid with them, but if i then said to you all ok go buy a bike that doesnt break within £400-700 can you do it? can you SH!T the onza bikes are built to a price and the best durability at that price, if one person breaks one in 100 sold do you really think that its a common enough problem to have to "change" their design JUST for that one person? i think not amigo.................. If your all so not happy with the situation when it happens to you go to "Trading Standards" i tell you not, you will have no joy as soon as you say its a trick or trials bike. they wont entertain you. unless the bike is immaculate and WAS a manufacturing defect in material or workmanship.

Heatsink "Konig" pads not many people have use to them, i have and a few others my brake was awesum even at back qown sunday when the rim was full of crap and the grind was wearing off. there the best pad iv used in a long time JUST before i got my konig i had koxx red pads on for a day or two and they were awesum!they took bout 10-15 mins to take the crap feeling off them with them being cut across the pad. but i have to say i was impressed for the day or so i had them on. but the "Konig" are out of this world. i cant even be bothered re-grinding my rim as the pads were working that good without a grind!!!! Waynio........................... Different people will say different pads, just off what iv used (iv never used the coust pads or the rim jams BUT have heard horror stories bout the rim jams, but the coust ones most people are happy with)

dude your obviosly not up on what IS and IS NOT abuse. get a life, then when you get a job in retial and some dick brings something back and wants warranty and your boss is telling you it isnt a warranty claim, give him another and see what happens? im sure the company will be swimming shortly!!! in a deep bloody river! your all so short sighted on here!(MOST not all!) the bash plate is intended to be landed on like a 26" bike where the cranks are NOT the f***ing front hole that holds it to the frame mate! nor for that matter the back 2! its only there as a last resort.i bet half of you couldnt use it if you tried! i tell you all what take them off like the new zoo's and put a bash ring on instead then see who can ride better? as the frame then wont be getting batterd or bent! it will be the bash ring like on a 26" bike. if your short sighted on here please dont post up in anything to do with warranty! you severly PISS people off and especially people who work in shops and already know the score with warranty claims. to make it even better you should all go buy motorbike trials bikes @ £2k-3k then when you brake something take it back see what they say? i do remember something like "NO WARRANTY WHAT SO EVER ON MOTORCYCLE TRIALS BIKES" now people stop posting "oh that should well be warrany, onza should send him a new one free" cos i havent looked at those pictures on page 3 that show the frame is F**KED! Waynio..........................

Heather i think.if not its Karen doooooooooooooooood. come stay up here with me on the friday and saturday? we can go out riding if you like pat? Waynio...........................

yes it is a comp frame. (Y) wots point in having a 10lb comp frame? ye tomm i agree i wasnt having a go just that in a comp its usually used to rest or get up on something maybe big but is not used abusivly if you get what i mean? its not used in anger i should say. its sued as the object may require it to be used. i like your post tart :D :( that med me chuckle. i wish half of you would actually work in a shop for a day and see the mentality of some of yourselves!!!!!!(Not everyone just the picky kinda people) its appauling. You question something you gwet an answer, you can ask for an explanation you get the explanation it should be rant over, obviosly this isnt, its let see how far we can take it? i tell you the best way you could go, go to trading standards and let them laugh at you 1st? then you will be suprised. if trading standards laugh at you then you will be laughed at by most others. and if anyone ever does go to trading standards over trials stuff make sure you state the fact that its a "Trials" bike like a motorbike but without an engine. they'll be getting wise to it by now. Waynio............................

yo mark, sorry for so many replies, i keep having to catch up on reading the ones that are posted after iv read and written mine. i dented my woodstock frame earlier this year after a "Fall" that left me anally impaled!!!! and my bike under me, it has got the worst dent in the top and down tube and it literally was folded!!! and guess what? that was 3 days old!!! and one natural yes NATURAL ride old. i had literally ridden it in the shop for 5-10mins before the ride up at shipley. Waynio............................. thats really demoralising that you get a new frame and literally naker it in such quick succession but thats life, you get a new car and write it off in a day you cant gelp it, live on and get on with it il always say.
-
They may well do tomm BUT do they land like a sack of spuds on it?????or do they use the bash to take a rest or get up and obstacle thats not humongus. the only sections which have the "BIG" stuff in are the expert and elite sections and going off the quality and perception of the riders in those classes they tend not to want to land harshly.i know myself it can be painful, and its not very nice to hear your own bash ring twanging a rock and snapping it in half............. Waynio......................

Tart is correct, why should someone make a design thicker just because some street thug goes and ruins one frame? why should someone change something for one person? if it was 20-30 ok maybe. That frame is Abused there is no shadow of doubt in my mind if someone brought it to me id laugh it off. it really is suisidal to say that it isnt! Koxx dont have to give 12-24-36 months warranty as there are design and tested by WORLD PROFESSIONALS!!!! which by most standards on here quite alot of people are not being in this thread! they would be on the VERY UN PROFESSIONAL list.If a pro is not breaking a bike then it is built to a satisfactory state of quality,IF every single frame of a manufacturer for example say every Levelboss broke in the same place and all did within a certain period of time then yes you would be pissed off that it wouldnt get replaced BUT it doesnt happen as the bikes are built to suitable and extremly good quality.i heard about this levelboss about the drop outs, someone over tightening or under tightening a q/r so it either drops out of the drop outs when riding it causes the material to wear down and its not advisable, most people last year at i think one of the brit rounds could have been addingham my wheel fell out of the drop outs 3-4 times!!!! i then started threading the axles of my hubs and havent had a problem since, and whats the harm in a 5mm allen key head bolt to hold your wheel in? its safer and it aint going to hurt you. if id have kept on letting the wheel drop out and tightening it back in it would have chewed the material up and then caused the frame to be nakerd. also dont forget its 1 Levelboss frame in what?100?200?300????? if there is people out there doing this to bikes, no wonder you get done for street riding cos that is criminal to the bike the wall your going up or landing on is going to be atroshious! please could you see it from "suppliers" view for once people, dont always see it one way for yourself. the world is a very different place! lifes too short to be argueing all the time................. If that frame was immaculate and the frame had cracked some where then you have a warranty claim. you dent or crash, land hard on something to cause it to bend and break and that is abuse? if i went and bought an Aston Martin Vanquish (one thing id love to aquire in life at some point) and just thrashed it everywhere and it said in the garag it does 30MPG and it only did 10 is that warranty? or if i kerbed an alloy?i want it replacing as i missued it with a kerb!or even better the best one a bit like biking. Engine blows up, i was just driving it at 30mph everywhere, i never exceeded 3000rpm mr. hey i dont wanna be having a go but someone has to step in and say look stop getting at suppliers you either want trials bike to move on and get better, you cant have it every way and winge at everything people do. Waynio.............................. I shall await the on slaught................woo woo................ :D (Y) :- :( :-" its right anyway, i put my opinions across most people might not see it as i do but when you've ridden trials for 4/5 years if anyone else has ridden this long or longer they SHOULD see it from a similar point of view to me. People cant get away with abusing everything and expect to pay nothing. Onza's half price replacement thing is one that not many people can offer? more the cost of it.

Ye but dont worry when they sell out they order another boat full and then it will be 3months waiting. but to be honest i dont think they will be sold out for at least another 2-3months, when they ge low enough then they will re-order them in enough time and get them in quicker so there not out of stock as long. Waynio....................

the thing is dude, what your mum n dad dont know dont hurt :o :o Waynio......................... Get one where they aint going to see it, arse cheek or something :( or one on your back where you cant see it, but dont take your top off so your ma n pa dont see.

WIKID! looks rad bucky! il check it out tonight. i was going to get "Waynio" in like a weird style writing on my back, all the way across from one shoulder to the other. Girlfriend says il grow outta me name though :o well who cares, will be funny to see me ma n pa's face when i get one done :o" it will have to be across my back though, and maybe a cheecky one on the bottom of my back like the usual: "Your name!" so if people ask they wonder how the hell you know their name straight away........ Waynio....................... Where did you get yours done buck? GF Nan owns a tatoo shop in Silsden will hopefully get em done cheap, before people start posting NO my GF nan doesnt have any tatoo's she just owns the shop. hehehe

i got mine off steve over 2weeks ago. this is a plea for people to either PM me or possibly if its allowed for people to post a bit of feedback to me in here please? if thats ok with a mod. i dont want it in pad reviews, i want people to tell me what they think to them so i can let others know what iv noticed and such forth. Cheers Waynio........................ if i has to be moved and put under the brake pad reviews then it has to, but would the other riders with them please pm me details about theirs and what they think to them? cos if people think what i think, then someone had best be in gear and order about 1,000 sets!!!!!!if not more :o" :o
-
just run the caliper you have (with the bracket on) with an extra PLUS 20 or 25mm adaptor. no problemo. dont worry bout adaptors you either want a good brake or a new set of front teeth which could cost you approx £200 PER tooth. as mine is about £150.00 a tooth i think John (Bongo) teeth cost him in the region of 200 each. so its either getting it right or bodging it and getting it tits up and it hurting you :o not the way to do it mate. :o Waynio.............................

we sold a frame kit and just stripped a full bike down for someone down in surrey. they look the part do the frames with the trick seat design. aint done enough to find and strengths or weaknesses. but they wont be something that lasts you a week or anything. im sure it will be durable enough (easily) Waynio.......................... i remember measuring one with a wheelbase of 1000 or 1010. cant remember which. has a nice pair of forks!good cranks and heavy duty back wheel, most of the other parts are very generic.bars stem headsets etc etc.
-
Even consider a Pashley GHZ? there awfuly strong too!!!! but if your a short rider it may hold you back from tapping and new skool natural style riding. i could make you a list of positive and negatives on literally every frame on the market. Pashley = too short?but fun for street Onza T-rex = heavy?geometry lacks a bit of umph, needs a high bar setup to make it ride well. Zoo Pitbull = strong/light (2004 model) good lengths 1060 wb or 1080/90 wb (i think) Waynio..................... the list could go on and on and on, for hours on end. its boring when you have had most frames available, its nothing that im proud to be able to say id rather say iv only ever ridden 4/5 different frames but i have to say iv ridden maybe 25/30 :o :o" dead or alive.
-
Damn you Mr savage! il have your head on my plate. im well impressed with the strength and durability of my levelboss, same material as all the echo's and zoo frames. it also still holds a light(ish) frame weight but the material is proven to be super strong and durable, no matter how big tall or heavy you are just throw everything at it! i have all 9 1/2 stone!!!! and its been on some serious missions. i just need to bash a video together to show you. The other major thing dude is that you get the best "Geometry" after riding many bikes over the years i can honestly say the best frames i have ridden have to be "Ashton Jusice" the old skool "Megamo Radical steel frame" and now top of my list would have to be the "Levelboss 1100" iv got a 2005 "Levelboss 1065" and its the dogs bollox! it feels very streety yet super agile while natural riding. a very good compromise. with other frames such as Echo/Zoo's there awesome frames but what you have to look at is the History and profile of the company????: 1) Koxx must have at least like 5/6 world champions!!!! designing and testing bikes. As Echo/Zoo have really good quality riders promoting their bikes in the likes of Neil Tunnicliffe, Craig Lee Scott and Phil Williams 2) Since day one the bike shave been made to a very suitable and good quality, in the early years of Echo everyone knows how the bikes were............. 3) please dont anyone turn round to me and say "your only doing this cos your sponsered by them" for years on end iv wanted to ride for Fred Savage weather it would have been on a Megamo or a Koxx it wouldnt have mattered, he treats people with the up most respect and the service he provides is spot on. 4) the only other thing i have to say is Koxx Days...............it was an awesome experience!and cant wait for 2006!!! the attitude of the people at Koxx from Dominique Hermance to all the pro/elite riders its all so chilled and a nice environment to be in. i wish they could do a similar thing for us in the uk so it was less traveling for everyone and everyone could experience the Koxx days Diva! Waynio....................... The above is not to pull down or sound off at the companies in the previous passage. but after months and months of having goes on different peoples bikes il always go back to the trust worthy levelboss if it came down to it. as i know i can set one up to suit m riding and could do it to suit any other riders needs. Bucky has had a go on both of my levelbosses and likes how they are set up, hes probably said it to most of the bikes iv had but in particular liked my 2005 version.
