i have put in a claim about this. the problem is it has to be confirmed with japan as that is where the rules are made or something. i was speaking to barbara wright about it a few weeks ago. but yes great point and im totally in with what your saying anal & phil and who ever agrees with 6 working gears being a pointless excercise. Cracking topic we should get a petition going and send it to the people in japan "the RULE makes" and say hey check this out mate. we dont need gears,,,, and see what they say. it needs more than a handful of people to stick up for it, even if just england did it it would take alot more countries to follow suit which i personally feel most would. but iv always asked "Why" why 6 gears????? whats the point behind it? if there was then the rule would be fine but there is no real reason behind it. ok iv got no major say but it would be nice if we had a full report on why we have to have 6 working gears on a 26" bike. why doesnt a mod bike have 6 blinking gears? :- (Y)" :wub:

why dont you try putting oil back in your brake for starters????? then take the pads out of the pistons and clean them up. so they dont have the black crap on them, then you should be ok.??..?? Waynio......................... people who put weater in ther brakes may find it returns faster but it doesnt lock up aswell!!! iv tried it before and when i used a brake with water in at koxx days afer i had broken mine the brake didnt work at all as well as my brake with oil in (mind you i suppose people who put water in must think that some where in the instructions it says *NOTE please use water inthe brake at the 1st opportunity to bleed it as it will be so much better than the recomended MINERAL OIL) :P" :) :P :)" :P well my thoughts any way.

craig that 1st paragraph i couldnt agree with you more on!!!!!!!we need the competition trials scene alot bigger in this country to do numerous things for the sport. SUCH as getting it more recognised and possibility of getting TV coverage like the porthcawl trophy did!!! this will then when your all out street riding not get told to stop doing something thats dangering other members of the public as most police and people who stop you and bollok you think you are just a thug and a danger to society!!!!! when we know were not! waynio................... the more people see it the more they will appreciate and watch it with respect and not a poor attitude towards us.........just my opinion on the matter.

no not at all iv tried it. when i snapped my 05 lever i had a 04 body kicking about but the lever was no where near!!!! it would take more of a grinder and real nightmare of a bodge to get any where near. but its not worth even thinking of. steel can be so strong that it wont dent, ask bucky what i did to one of mine the 1st one that weighed like 6lb frame only!!!!he didnt believe me that i couldnt dent it. so in shipley on night we were back wheeling round poles and i came off a few times and he was saying that i was pussy footing around falling off so i didnt dent it, then i actually hit the downtube onto the post probably 5-6 times quite hard just to show him that i was trying to dent it i just couldnt! i could feel bit cahracteristics in the steel frames i have ridden, you can tell there alot flexier (26" for deffinate) with a 20" with it having digfferent dropouts and narrower back end it may add stiffness to it. but U6 feels very similar in flex to a steel frame but you can still tell that steel is just so much more comfortable. i just had everything done by the guy who made it hes a road bike frame builder and he supplied the steel and made it for me, the 1st one was a heavy gauge of columbus and the 2nd frame was a lighter columbus tube. he now has the facility to make alloy frames too!!! and he quoted me £400 for an alloy frame about 7-8 months ago. honestly if you really have got the money use it to explore how your m,ind works and design your own trials frame. it doesnt have to be same or similar you can just go wacky with how the frame is and looks as its your personal thing. Kool peter. could you pm me when you have used them for a bit? iv had them on for i think 2/3weeks and mine have been exceptional and the grind i had on to start with was grusome!!!!it was sharp as hell it wore off a little bit at the tral on sunday but the pads were still very grippy. cheers Waynio.........................

have only named like 20 odd riders and we can have 40!!! anyway you could ride the sections but it wouldnt be when the world round is on, it would id have thort have been at a later date after the event as finished for example. i think it would be great IF all of the brit riders riding there could go up there one day or for a few days and chill out together and really get into the swing of getting along with each other and having a blast. even loads of other people coming too just to get in the trials mood and see how big this event organised by Barbara Wright and Co. i got asked a question yesterday by someone and was extrmly like "i wish i could" and the response was " you really could!" iv been out with ben savage a couple of times and have to admire how he will set out a few sections and ride them under 2 minutes every time and as clean as possible, that sort of commitment just makes me even more thirsty to ride the Cyclo trials sport!!!!! you have also said in another post further up well in that passage is a sentence of you landing on the downtube????not the bikes fault your fault. therefore causing a dent and then the frame to fail! you must have hit it in a spot near enough to the bash plate to make it break??? therefore not onza's fault and not a design flaw as such! like i said in an earlier post there is a lad i go riding with and his t-mag has a crazy dent in the down tube worse than yours and his hasnt broken!his is further up the downtube though and as soon as he had done it he knew he wouldnt get a new frame FREE even if it did break somewhere else as i explained to him if it did break that crash/abuse has weakened the frame. the venue is up north. im sure people can book into B+B and stuff stay with other people. its deffinatly somethng that will be good and worth not missing especially the young lads, even the older lads you get to meet "the DADDY" of the trials world, there are even big named PRO riders look up to Ot Pi!!!!!the likes of martyn and martin, akkers etc etc. this guy is one of the Masters of the trials world, and alot of organisation on behalf of babara hasnt gone a miss at all, if its to ever happen again i think this one needs to be a really good and fully booked event! im sure if this one goes well Ot would consider doing another 1! sold them ages ago when i started to ride for ashton. i would always go back down that road if i ever couldnt get sponsorship. as you get what you want from it. the only person you can blame for duff geo is yourself then :huh: regards Waynio.......................... honest alot of people round here have tried it since i had my 2 frames made. its quite fun.

yes you do have to push yourself to improve jonno, but the thing is you cant let an injury get you down. look at how i was last week? bank holiday monday RUINED my week off work wnet out riding did a gap iv done numerous times at shipley glen and nakerd up my arse was bruised to buggery couldnt do owt, then my knee was swollen for 2days full on couldnt walk without walking like a cripple GF wanted me to go to hospital couldnt be bothered waiing around a waiting room for hours on end when i can wait for it to get better and be eager to ride the bike again!!!!! its all about the desire to ride!the more you want to do it the more you will want to get back on the bike ASAP! like when i broke my little finger!got back on bike too soon as i was too eager to ride, broke it again 2days (1st day riding though gave it a day to heal :huh: ) after pin was pulled out, back in a bandage for a further week!!!! improvement can only be made by pushing the boundaries and making yourself THINK and KNOW you CAN! make something. Look at Lovatt???? that guy suprises me as the boundaries are being pushed left right and centre!!!! hes been riding a year and is always willing to learn. sometimes i wish i could just go out and forget about me having a bike and just watch how impressive other people are then get back on mine and learn from them and pick out the good parts of their riding ability and improve them for myself and for themselves. once your back on your bike leave yourself in my capable hands and you will want to ride soooooooooooooo much more!!!!! Waynio............................. i love to ride, if you dont you dont want to carry on. you need to have the will and love of the sport to wish to do it or carry on with it, if you dont like it you wont get on with it.
