which big rides you off to over xmas???? if your going to some that people from shops who sell echo/trials forks that you want, ask if they can bring you a pair and give them the money on exchange money for forks. Wayne. Ps i know if you were going to leeds ride, id bring you a pair of forks

i know 2 things 1) its expensive (for good stuff) 2) its very flexy (which isnt too great really) i think people have been there and done that, for some a flexy more "springy" feel is good, but it depends if people want to be nice on their wallet or give it a good bashing............ its probably also someone who wants something no1 else will have. Akrigg has had a couple of ti frames and there nice, light and look super pimp, BUT i wouldnt say its the best material for its properties to use, it breaks same as ally too, everything fatigues etc. sorry if you think im been negative, im just been truthful. Wayne.

big bag, take wheels out of mods and put em in bags, who can stop you getting on buses and coaches then????? so who is actually going to be going???? cuz its out of control and half of the people specially from KLY! are actually selling it out. Danny Cartledge and co have best idea, get there, get hotel thats only £30!!!! party in leeds, then ride in morning, or even personal party in the hotel rooms Wayne.

where abouts are you from???? if you know someone who has got a spare pair to "borrow" over the festive season have a borrow. I think alot of these 1 piece steerer forks are the way forward they are proving to be much stronger than bonded steerers etc. think yourself lucky, your un hurt and all you need to do is get a new pair of forks, it could have been alot worse............broken bones, write bike off etc etc Wayne

not everything is sidehop mania though................. i think to the "joe bloggs" street rider, dual disc is prob no good, well not as good as magura. BUT i think there is a market for dual discs to become MUCH more popular 26" dual disc will never be because of the rolling forward force against a "X" size rotor and 26" wheels. BUT 20" is worry free, bed them in, ok every now and again nak a rotor, but you nak rims? bend and dent, grind em? wear em out? now if a disc worked better (which on 20") i persoanlly think they do, its more cost effective to buy more expensive to start with then the future is hopefully cheaper??? or do people think different to that? if so why? Wayne

just a bit of info for people, which im hoping might generate a bit of interest.............. iv been looking at building up some 20" dual disc bikes through aire valley. Now in the past dual disc bikes have always been quite expensive, around £1200+ i dont want this to turn into an advertising post but more of an "information" from customer post. £1,000 for a dual disc bike? is that what a customer wants? or do they want magura rear? These bikes are built with top parts, such as Echo hubs, rims, bars, stems, cane creek headsets, viz isis b/b or shimano b/b with tensile cranks, echo cranks, i dont see many companies building them into full bikes, so iv been in touch with tartybikes and had a few frames, forks etc etc, and built some really kool Echo dual disc bikes and magura bikes. £1,000 echo frame, forks, vp headset, magura disc brakes, echo wheels, creepy crawler tyres, echo bars and stem, echo cranks shimano b/b £1150 higher spec dual disc, same as above but with hayes hfx9 carbon brakes, cane creek sealed headset, tensile cranks, isis viz b/b. il upload some pictures later so you can see. i just see the market more dual "disc" orientated, or is the rear HS33 still alive and kicking and more the thing that street riders want??? is it dual disc for natural? and hs33 for street???? Just wanting ideas and opinions on some more bikes to build up, just to have in the shop and have as a showroom enhancement thing. Wayne.

The best land lies in yorkshire jon hehe. i think it has got good scope, scotland, south and middle, yes there are 2 or 3 events in the middle, but if i could honestly advise you to ride anywhere in the country, Yorkshire would be one at the top of my list. for example: Shipley glen, Addingham moorside, Ilkley moor, Harden Moor, Brimham rocks, Theres loads of places over Ali C's way as well over hebden bridge. Rusevelt, as JonMack has pointed out, i did not aim the negativity thing at you, it was a few posts above mine. sorry if it caused a bit of confusion. Tomm edited the posts above as it had caused some un necessary petty arguin. Regards Wayne

Please could i ask that the negativity be dropped? (the fun can stay) but the slagging and slating needs to go elsewhere. (preferably in a diff thread) were all riders at the end of the day???? Danny B left onza for a deal from Atomz (which was more suited for him, Good luck to danny ) Me and Andrei and Scott and Joe Seddon signed for Onza. Rob is/was in talks with onza, not 100% sure if or what has happened. Ben Travis and Towler all the door locks are like that where i live and you both should know why!!! The deal for me was much more suited Rusevelt, i had no offer that could get as cushty to the deal onza did and i look forward to the R&D work with the onza team and to progress the brand further in the UK market. i can see and have already spoken with mike/joe and chris about bikes that would be well suited in the UK market that would sell and onza have things at the right money. Then they have Tensile which is product that is well protected. Wayne.

gor blimey. i dont even think your any closer to an answer. PERSONALLY i would be e-mailing or giving tarty or who ever distributes them a quick tinkle, as opposed to having a mass "internet" brawl on here. and just ask someone. Wayne

ano im still at work and stuff still got to earn a living and just get on with it and hope that when im better it will be stronger than before with the help and advice from Si (the Physio) he rekons my ankle will be stronger and better than ever..... i hope he is right! its the 1st time in 7 years of riding since i broke my little finger that i will have had more than 4 weeks off my bike in 1 go. Joe will probably call you tomorrow, got some info and bits and bobs to talk to your dad about on the "kids" bike front. Wayne. still a happy chappy. it could have been worse................. it could have really hurt!!!!!
-
Would have been there if i havent had ad some extreme ankle SNAPPAGE! looks like a kool ride wunt mind a ride over your way. Wayne.

Had an off yesterday and was putting off Si (Physio) sorting me out. we had been speaking the last few weeks and yesterday it came to a sticky and painful ending! found myself in A&E with a suspected broken ankle. Just want to Thank Si for his advice and to let people know that advise is ALWAYS worth taking note of and into consideration. i was putting off having my ankle sorted and it was on its last legs. So i got a pair of crutches and an illuminous pink cast. happy days. all this 2 days after my signature to a contract with Onza. will hopefully be back and about on my bike in around 6 to 8 weeks. Waynio.......................

Chris runs Pro2 trials rear hub. Wayne.

im here when you need me.................... Just been having a "OP" about on the new steed, feels pretty nice, just adapting to a steep headangle is the hard thing. going to have to adapt my style to the bike. Hopefully for the better. Wayne.
-
Thanks to Mike, Joe and Chris yesterday for all their hard work in getting everything sorted. Got my new steed built up, just got to go get out on it now. I had not signed anything to Monty, i had been offered, but personally the offer did not suit my needs, there was other companies in and amongst that, Meta were very interested and also i had asked a couple of other companies too. But the onza deal sort of give me what i wanted. Will be great for i think the 4 riders that have already signed, myself, joe seddon, Andrei Burton and Scott Wilson. Hopefully catch up with you guys soon. Im sure we will see new things bikes/frames but not everything is about weight.............Durability is the key to the castle. Wayne.

trust me............ im a doctor. my Karbon and Caiso BOTH came with these forks and a 180mm rotor. hence the rotor i have on my bike now is a 180mm try-all with a caliper number3 on IS forks? if it was 190 they would not fit. sometimes you have to believe others. you cant just believe shit that is on the internet. believe a real person who owns and has had them. Wayne. PS if they are NOT 180mm rotor forks il eat them! and trust me i wont be eating them

Pretty sweet, i built one up for a friend a week or so ago! was ace. not the lightest bike but sure was the most fun and seemed really nice geometry. another of my mates had one a few months ago, and we used to piss about, he'd ride my bike and id ride his mod. one of the best "street" style mods you'll ride. Wayne.

my claim to fame, i was in the 200th issue!!!! lmao!!! Neil i agree sorry i was un available today, but iv got something right up my street which will be fun and will give a good background, i just have to persuede someone that i can do it............which wont take much doing. Minder.............i have an advertisement in my interview in trials mag for one! Consider Elliot @ the age of 5 1/2 the number 1 to get the job. Wayne.

yo mate, there my forks on Ebay, there the "NEWEST" koxx forx the old ones were +30 the newer ones are +20 (to keep disc sizes simple and easy) as opposed to a disc been 190mm and been hard to get the +20 means that you use "even" disc sizes so for example: 160 disc on current forks = 180mm disc on koxx forx (new style) 180 on current forks = 200mm on koxx disc forx Wayne. PS check the classifieds section, i put a post in there a week ago and my link is in there. Just read Ali and the other posts, they are genuine "Try-All" forks they are the newest set available. i bet they will only go for £40/50, they RRP @ £125.00 or something around there.

i am way too old! lol i think trials would be better set on its own level JUST like it can/is in "Trial" mag. i think there is more depth for it. ok 8 pages may not be alot but its better than a whole load of nothing. just keep your eyes peeled for fun and "different" things in other magazines. its obv alot of people are "jipped" off at MBUK. but at the end of the day i dont see anyone else breaking into the mag i think that could be a fact. i do disagree with the person who disagreed with the bit where i put chris was a bit superior to us all, as him riding a bike from the age of 3 or 4 and in trials/dh/freeride etc for a good 15 years (thats the whole time alot of people on this forum have been alive) to be "axed" at like that was really un fair and un called for. (IMO) Wayne.
