hi all, Happy new year and hope everyone has a fantastic 2008. right, if you havent already seen. www.waynio.co.uk there is a deeply saddening story about a friend who has just had a cancer tumour removed from his back, this young man is called Ben Carlisle. he is been treated and is doing great. What i want? i want the support of as many riders, doesnt matter on age or quality of the rider. i want anyone and EVERYONE to attend. it is to help raise money for cancer research, i cant tell you any more details at current. as i have a meeting with Tyke Trial (which is bens local club and where he started competing) we are arranging a trial with a substantial difference and also more fun than you can shake a stick at!!! Venue is to be talked about and arranged. hopefully somewhere that will be able to hold lots of riders, also camping or accomodation very near or close. I think we all take life for granted and we never appreciate what others do to help us through our life. so i want you all to think about all the things you take for granted and then think what if, 1) you couldnt ride you bike again? what if you couldnt walk again? what if you couldnt ever see again? what if you lost a loved one and didnt get the chance to say goodbye? these are just some of the things over the last few weeks i have asked myself and started to think more before i take advantage of walking, driving, riding, seeing the beatiful views and scenery etc. i just want as much support as possible from as many of you as i can. im hoping to try and get people such as dougie lampkin, martyn ashton, kenny belaey, Marc Vinco and obviously other high profile UK riders etc. who would be interested? who is in support of it? any ideas and thought on it would be much appreciated. idea was, Team Trial (say3-6 riders per team) these can be your mates, or just friends and all get together and have a laugh aswell as a bit of a competition. we may take the word "competition" out of it though, as i dont want it to be "competative" to win, i want everyone to win and everyone to be proud of the support and efforts they have put it and can say they helped to donate to cancer research and such forth. please let me know your thoughts and any idea would be much appreciated. alot of it is in "progress" keep your eyes out for some TOP news with regards to a young rider, who i am trying to raise some money with a "Team Trial" type competition. Hi all, just wondered if anyone has any old skool trailors and such forth???? of myself from back in the days of "triaslrider.com" and such forth. just building my new website www.waynio.com and www.waynio.co.uk just after videos to be able to be linked to the site? if anyone could upload them to youtube? or on here that would be much appreciated. this way this site will get more hits and also my website will have advertisement for "trials forum" etc etc. anyone who can help out would be greatly appreciated. things im looking for are the trailors from encounters and such forth. ye for sure boon dont get me wrong the atmosphere was kool, a good laugh etc. i just was bored!!!! i reverted back to trying to get up walls on me frigging crutches for christ sake, and i was getting up walls totally different than the bikes were!!! Boon it will be around early Feb when im back on bike, just pottering stuff, chilling and laughing etc. pot comes off around the 20th, going to go see Si in Bristol when i go visit the GF dad and her grandparents. then going to strengthen it back up for a week or 2 then start light trials on it. Mr Read couldnt agree more, natural is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better, you dont get kicked off, you stil have banter and a laugh and its not 3miles between each riding spot. Wayne.

ye, but i was well dissapointed. i can honestly say, trials bikes have become pogo sticks Ali im dissapointed you werent there, id have been half entertained otherwise. sorry to be negative, but i have always said leeds is pants (get kicked off everywhere and its really not that great) and exactly that happened, i had more fun trying to get up walls and entertaining myself on my crutches was kool to catch up with a few people old and new, and im sure if alot of others are honest, the day was a sidehop fest. maybe im just getting old??? but the locations were: Granite walls, got kicked off, all that happened was sidehops (and a couple of wheelswops thrown in) then off to art gallery, again, id say art gallery was more of a gap fest, but it turned into a sidehop fest then up to the UNI a couple of spots but again, it was all sidehop fests. maybe i woke up the wrong side of the bed and maybe it was just me been miserable. but i can honestly say anyone who didnt go didnt miss anything. after xmas rides need to be in places that you can do the following: 1) not get kicked off 2) not get into trouble with anus security guards 3) not get in the way of fellow pedestrians (as this again just makes trials look bad and as if were just a gang of thugs) 4) some where that caters for anyone and everyone to have a go (so ALL riders can ride at things without seeming over powered by someone better than them) the list could go on, but thats my scrooge winge outta the way, sorry if people think thats not very nice, but im an honest person and speak my mind. Wayne Ps il prob get a bit of a side hop bashing for that, but it was the trueth! honest.......

nice looks JUST like my Czar well what i had before i signed for onza, short bikes ***! altho with them forks it does make it 1080/1085. still bunnyhoppable and rides sweet. if anyone wants a bike similar to that £650.00 full spec Czar, all hope bits and bobs, alot of try-all bits too. it will be in for sale and wanted soon. Nice bike buddy, hope you enjoy it as much as i enjoyed mine. Wayne.

Weather is not a problem, im pretty sure it will be good if its snowing, raining, sunny or freezing!!! like Danny Kearns has said, makes you concentrate more on gaining grip as opposed to loosing..............and gaining pain... there seems to be a bit too much tugging and pulling going on for my liking Wayne. they are an extremly useful design, pushing the wheel back is better than a tug, as you do seem to sometimes get problems with cams loosing a bit.

i think it was 20 that were 4ft high and 2 or 3 ft apart. it doesnt sound hard, but it is a fair way up. Wayne

i suppose it depends what sort of position you like and shape of bars. iv used V!Z max bars and there wide, but swept back abit, i know the fashion and rage l8ly has been striaghter style bars like the Onza carbons etc they do an alloy bat that is 30" wide, nice and wide and cheap on the old wallet...... thats the "bomb hole" bit, so if you imagine (for people who know) the rock bucky fell over with no helmet on, 13ft straight down over other side, the rock he is on in that picture is that! when iv been up there, iv gone from the rock to the right (which is out of picture) and you gap 90 (land like akrigg is on the pic BUT with brakes on!) and then gap to the rock in the forefront which is flat. Obviously this is brakeless and he pedals in, jumps 90, then as he lands jumps out of it, he is only in that position in that picture for a split second!!!! the camera guy must have been right on the ball when shooting that picture. We should arrange a natural ride up on the glen new years day or the 2nd? get loads of people up there like last year. was really kool. il limp about and take some pictures. Wayne.

fair point. i am probably the same as you joe, i have grown up and had to do everything and supply everything myself and pay for everything. but you cant really expect a 5-16 year old lad to go work to earn money for his bike? at 13+ some lads have paper rounds etc. but you need to consider the "bigger" picture. Wayne.

yes black and anodised green hope stuff. i was at hope 2 weeks ago in a bit of a metting with Neil Arnold who is the "Sponsorship" guy, was a good in depth talk and hope are really into making their components stand out. Keep your eyes peeled for all the new Team stuff, the kit is also great, already got (but cant use! ) the shirt and shorts. Well done on the ozonys thing joe. Wayne.

Ano LMAO!!!! it was like that all week, i only had 1 week there with him and GOD! it was the dogs! Los Angeles, Las Vegas and HollyWood and Grand Canyon ALL in less than 7days........... i think a return trip is in order. "Whats happens in Las Vegas STAYS in las vegas..............." or so the old saying goes Wayne. PS im going to the "grand un veiling" of the DVD in Italy i will hopefully bring some copies back, but this party is supposed to be the dogs B***OX too CANT WAIT. Vitto is coming over end of january hopefully to stay with me for a day or2, more of a "buisiness" trip rather than riding.

Just try riding brakeless normally,do death grip on the bars with your brakes still on, and just see how long it is before you go for the lever. its so funny!!!!! i bet the maximum for someone would be 10seconds. iv seen many a ti frame cracked............... trust me. its actually weird that Ti breaks in places you wouldnt expect it to. Wayne.
