and now i realise WHY trials doesnt interest me half as much........come to look for some 2nd hand parts and read topics like @have all the big riders quit.......just to read absolute bollox....... there is bigger and better things out there......and half of the problem is, people spend way too much time on thier computers TALKIN' bout it and not DOIN' it. My job limits me to riding trials and also my football interest........as i found that trials got a bit too sensitive and very political, and all i wanted to do was ride my bike for fun, so instead, i go play football then go get PISSED and have a good laugh with my mates. the only part of trials i miss, is been around people that i made really good friends with, but i catch up with them every now and again. Dave had a fair point and people just close you down over petty shite, at the end of the day THIS IS THE INTERNET its full of opinions and alot of you will NEVER EVER agree, so do yourself a favor, AGREE to DISAGREE........ Wayne i demised the day that jack carthy started using TF........sorry for the rant, suppose old age and scroogism gets to us all some day i still ride my bike for FUN and prob like CLS enjoy it more that way.

James Hyland Danny Holroyd Chris Swallow Adam Burns 4 names that used to inspire me to ride my bike to the max!?!?!there sheer videos were the best and always will be,i bet if you ask CLS and Tunni etc, they will have been inspired by these guys to GO BIG or go home....... Wayne Fruitbat - lets get out and catch up!?!?!some more photo's

They are/have been so busy with other things.......i know myself that in the past 6/8months i havent ridden my bike half as much as i would have liked. but the input from myself and ash, and us pestering them to do it kind of kick started the fixed hub. i think theres a bit more to the freehub than meets the eye and this could be why it is/has taken much longer.......you cant rush theses things. that was absolutly inspirational to say the least! i have just had a "voicemail" on my phone and i have been told to "just watch this video" who ever knows danny just congratulate him from me for making such a great vid, and it deserves all the coverage it gets, ballsy, skillful, silky and just unbeliveable...... i had just been starting getting back out on the bike, last 4 days iv been out a good 3 times and for over 2hours each ride, that vid has just inspired me to go out and ride..... take the 1 bolt out you can get out then knock the axle out in the opposite direction bud. you SHOULD be able to do that, it may pop the freehub body out etc. but thats my tip of the day. and if you need a new axle iv got a couple kicking around???? if you have got a few quid and a couple of hope wheel bolts il do you a swop+cash deal for a new axle if thats what you needed to replace??? just read back a couple of pages about the 1.6, been the weight it is said etc. the difference between the white 1 and the gunsmoke 1 i have had, i would prefer it with 200+ grams extra. its much stiffer and if im honest, you cant really tell the weight difference, altho i did have a tensioner on the 1st white proto and that probably even'd the weight out. The horizontal dropouts are pretty sweet. much easier to use and adjust the chain, i think that will be the bench mark for 26" dropouts now. The Triad, after having a go on Joe Seddon's down at london just feels like a stock bike with 20" wheels, probably the nicest 20" wheeled bike iv ridden. i dont do mod, but it just felt like a short wheelbase stock. (i was pleasantly suprised) Wayne.

its quality not quantity. you could have a bearing the size of the earth and it be absolutly CRAP and it last 5minutes. chris king, like hope they will use a much higher spec bearing that costs more to start with, shimano are a worldwide company and things need to wear out for buisiness to carry on, they dont make things these days as they used to. but to give you an idea the hope bearing they use in the external b/b they do is very VERY similar spec to the bearing they used in their old Ti square taper b/b. ok a tad bigger internaly diameter and outer, but the overall depth of the bearing is very very similar yet they last alot longer and look alot cooler, PLUS there only £65. or summit. and i thinnk you can just knock the bearings out and replace them with new ones at like £7/8 per bearing. your best at saltaire station. as its then just a walk/ride up the shipley glen tramway and it will take you 10/15mins, if you go from shipley station you have to ride down the canal and it will take you a good bit longer maybe anuva 15mins or so. you cant turn up and ride the sections etc, unless you pay a fee for insurance etc, we have had this at previous trials when a group of people turned up and rode without paying, for insurance purposes people MUST pay a fee for insurance, or we can loose our precious venues. looks like deng has got an idea though: make forks lighter and weaker, this product is something that ALL trials bikes have to have and the price of them can be a big part, now i dont think that £70/80 is much to pay for a set of forks when a frame (the new stuff) costs like £400 people like the "pimp" value too much these days and not the asthetics and strength of a product, a fork is a part as iv said, you can buy as many pairs as you like, but you have to keep buying half decent ones to keep the bike going. iv just received a new set of onza forks, which look kool with the shaved down steerer, but there in a strength/weight ratio which will hopefully be half decent. i odnt mind things breaking, but as mark has said, the last thing i would personally want breaking is forks, as EACH 1 of my teeth cost in and around £200 to £250 to replace, as Bongo will tell people, as he and i both have crowned teeth. barbara i have a problem......and this is it: i have got something on until 1pm? if its no problem with other riders could i do 1 of the following: 1) sign on late (probably around 1pm?) 2) if any penalty points to be put on my score for me been late how many? 3) i would need to know at what time the trial started (and finishes so i can skoot round the sections "quickly" and "cleanly" obviously.) as if it started at 10.30 am and had 5 hours, which led upto 3.30 pm, then obviously every, how ever long it is up until and beyond this point there is penalty points for delays??? i dont mind, just cant really get out of what i need to do in the morning. no big issue, im just trying to work out the best way to do it, as i cant really miss shipley, i should be ok for saturday but sunday is the main problem. i dont see there been a personal problem, but i thought i had best mention it before the trial so things wouldnt get out of hand on the day? Wayne.
