  1. Need a better camera most probably first but will try and get some photos of the bad paint work up asap, found some smaller snail cam bolts so not a problem
  2. looks wicked! i love these new 24 trialsy frames coming about, can't wait to have a pop on one!
  3. Price of there frames are completely ridiculous if you ask me(though im guilty of buying the full bike ), pointless to buy one nowdays considering the selection of mod frames from rockman
  4. Was thinking that myself, his balance and control is already at a high level
  5. Well heres my new rockman akali, wasnt impressed by the finnish of the paint on the frame, upper part on one side of the chainstay has silver lines down it and 1 or 2 other scratches, but its going to get scratched to buggery anyway so who cares! I can't ride it yet because i have a bad back The back end feels noticably heavier but it is 100% stiffer compared with my white sky which i can definately live with! spec: Wheels:try-all reinforced drilled rear rim on try-all H hub, front try-all holes rim on try-all h disc hub, both on try-all tyres. Steering: try-all forxx with paint stripped, try-all carbon bars, try-all 3d stem and echo sl headset Drivetrain: try-all 165mm cranks, echo sl freewheel, reset titanium bb and try-all superlight caged pedals Brakes: front try-all hope with carbon lever, rear magura with 4 finger lever water bleed and try-all croco yellows in tnn backings Might change the rear rim for a onza pro diamond(weight weenie here! )
  6. as leistonbmx said, it was bashed really hard and the metal is made from chedder, got my akali now mostly built up, need to cut my steerer tube down and get some bb cups/bearing off a friend then i will post pics up
  7. Well as i said i wasnt happy with the flexyness of the bike which was affecting the rear brake anyway, I had been considering a new frame due to this problem
  8. clearer picture now up, bike weight was in the region of 8kg never weighed it though, ordered a akali
  9. Dent/crack caused at the same time, other wise rest of the downtube was in perfect condition, im not going to bugger about with getting it welded, new rockman frame on order already and i was unhappy with the rear end flex of the bike meaning i had to set up the brake in a particular way to stop the brake rubbing when putting power down, but other than that its been a great frame lasted alot longer than i exspected and would of lasted longer if not for this accident
  10. so today at clacton was doing an up gap to a slanted downward rock, so i had to plant the front wheel right down, front missed and frame took full force and for some reason moved my protection out the way and this is what happened to the frame: so i think its time for a new frame had this one for almost a year and was still going strong oh well saying that the rear end was just too flexy
  11. most of us are going clacton
