  1. Worst tyre for stability ever made for mod, fact!(in my opinion:P) Just changed back to a try-all from one, it was awfull.
  2. All i know is that 160 try-all ISIS wont run ffw and bash and if going by tarty's reccommendation of minimum of 7mm thread needed for a ffw the 165mm try-all ISIS will not take a bash ethier. I ran trial tech 160mm for a while with ffw/bash with no problems, i would suggest you go for them, but there the only other crank ive ever tried. Also look out for the crank offset this can make a fair bit of difference to the feel of the bike, i would try to get some cranks with similar offset to your current cranks
  3. I doubt he would be running an open bearing hub with cones on a try-all rim
  4. Thats what happens when you hit puberty stupidly early, im sure alot of people would be going big if they were jacks size at 13, though i doubt alot would be as skilled As for forks ive always used try-all, im a realatively light rider but always doing hooks and up to fronts, weight to performace ratio seems to suite me personally
  5. Stick with try-all ryan, nothing beats it on stability and grip, which is what you need when riding comp
  6. I havnt found one rim yet that has a large offset to spokes to be flexy at all. It will mostly likely be a bad build or make sure your axle hasnt died as this can cause flex as ive had it happen in the past, also make sure your hub bolts are not bottoming out on the axle. Ive ridden quite a few bikes with the try- all hole rims never been a problem even with rim brake if it was as flexxy as you say it would be impossible to run rim brake For the onza diamond which i have at the moment its stiff but if your running a rim brake dont bother the side walls are not parallel and you need to wear your pads to the angle of the rim(if your using new type mounts and can't change the angle ).
  7. No point what so ever buying the try-alls now, also the new rockman rims for mod at least are exact copies of the try-all hole rims? and again cheaper!
  8. Had the try-alls over a year now, light and grippy as f**k, but as you can see from one of the posts above do have a tendancy for the body to crack/snap go for the tr's hutley not worth paying double really
  9. No. Cheers Hutley, too bad we didn't get more footage
  10. Running a Monty at the moment and all i can say is stability wise its the worst out there, i could put more pressure in it but then it feels horrible trying to get any bounce from the tyre on flat surfaces. Back to a try-all for definite next
  11. I'm there, should be back from Bristol at about 3
  12. 15. Lucky! mine lasted all of 5 months, cracks between the holes and spokes started to pull out, makes me sound like a right basher but honestly im not!
  16. If that is a rear DOB rim it will not last long nice paint scheme though

  18. Its not even popular there as i said too flexy and my sky was still going strong after 10months before "bashing" it as you said, to be honest the force i hit the frame at would probably of damaged most frames(probably not so dramatic as the sky but still).
  19. Just go with the Rans or Rockman, only difference between the two is that the Fans has a slightly longer reach than the Rockman due to head angle, and the Rockman has a slightly higher bb and a tiny bit lighter. I've personally not seen bad things about ethier(apart from me about the akali poor paint job ) so i think ethier one is a safe bet. Ah also the frames are made from different metals im not sure which one is better Fans=6061-T6 aluminium alloy Rockman= U6 alluminium alloy (maybe its the same i dunno )
  20. but the 320 is heaviest out of the ones mentioned if that affects anything
  21. From personal experience i would say a big NO on the white sky, back end is stupidly flexy i had to set the right brake pad as close to the rim as possible then the other one far away to stop the brake rubbing when pedaling hard, the snail cam "bolts" are made into the frame itself and were far too soft and my drive side one just squashed to which i then got tarty to drill and tap holes for proper bolts The paint work is a complete nightmare to keep clean, its just absorbs anything that touches it even with brake cleaner it was very hard to get some grease/oil marks off Also the white sky price tag is completely retarded, i personally think you should go with the rockman akali or the fans, lenght wise if you didnt like the gu the akali/fans seems the better option than the maladie and use the left over money(from not buying the white sky)on some nice parts
  22. I want them dvd's! what the hell at Benito's freewheel guess he cleaned the grease out of it
  23. I used to run a bash ring, after removing my reset bb from my white sky, which i landed on a rock got a dent/cracked frame at the bb area(wouldnt of happened with a bash plate) i found the drive side bearing to be completely shagged, wether that was to do with the force going through that bash from when ever i landed on it i don't know, also used to squash my chain up against my chainstay with a bash ring. Personally i would stick with a bash plate:P
