What are peoples experience of Lgm's on a Trialtech sl rim? (19")
-
Cheers guys As for the silent brake its to do with my rim/abit of dust, im using the new type magura mounts which hold the slave cylinders straight, and the Onza pro diamond sidewalls are not straight if you get what i mean \_/ <- like that instead of |_|

Just a couple of clips i got today, sorry about the hedge trimmer in the background was also pritty hungover but rode good No music, no special editing(im crap at it anyway) I hate how things look so much smaller on film i also find my gaps always look smaller compared with most other peoples videos because i gap pointing straight and dont sit on the takeoff at an angle Cheers to MrRankin for filming. Poor quality i think the camra was zoomed in slightly+ crap lense

Before, cheers for the comments guys

Check your axle bolts are not bottoming out on the axle and check the axle hasn't snapped-happened to me
-
Might see you down there after i wash the car. The motion stabilizer is basically what you said
-
Cheers for that Hutley, that dam side hop at the end got the better of me
-
I can't see why it would but you obviously know more than me on that.
-
It might be good but why should we be paying £49 for one when the manufacture of it is probably the same or maybe cheaper than the normal try-all its stupid. Its not worth £49, i will probably buy one but i don't think its fair how much they are.

There is no way of justifying the price of a silver sky its just too much. I know of a few people who have cracked the downtube, mainly from dents that were already there. Quite abit of weight difference between the onza and sky, maybe look at something inbetween like the rockman

Being my first British level competition i was very surprised at the lack of people riding, i rode ok i suppose, could of done alot better suppose i can be happy about 3rd in expert I've never ridden Addingham Moorside before, it was an amazing place and the rocks were so grippy!

And i'm just saying it would be worth while getting a old car as his first car, couldn't give a **** who is paying for it Again black wheels deffinately!

I would doubt any noticeable difference in size in what you do just from a tyre it's to do with technique in my opinion, seems more like your trying to justify spending alot on a tyre:P I really hope your not making your judgment just from hoping up a wall because you seem to have made your opinion about this tyre seriously quick. Is it stable? like having to hop around on a odd camberd object having to get to a point to then launch off from, how does it cope with compression on the edge of an object compared with the original try-all. So you never used an original try all yet say to people that it has more bounce than the original as you said in an earlier reply. And riding your mates bike doesn't count, a real conclusion on an product needs to be done over time on variety of different situations I might be completely wrong, it may be the best tyre in the world but a decision on an product such as this needs to be done on more than one ride as it seems to be the case here, and on all different types of terrain. Again i might be wrong but i feel alot of people on here make assumptions about a product without properly testing a product or have the experience of putting something through its paces. Maybe everyone thinks i'm being a complete p r i c k, but i'm just stating it how i see it. Toby

Don't delude yourself no Tyre is worth £49. I may buy one at some point though :$

I agree with first car being a banger which makes you appreciate when you get something nicer, also why a brand new car when to be honest the likely hood of a crash after you pass is pretty high, you learn how to pass the test not necessarily drive properly Not saying he will crash but i wouldn't be surprised seeing it in the car thread all bashed up My first car was a 1.2 fiesta 51 plate was mint low millage paid 2k for it, but ended up writing it off, i wish i got a crap car least i wouldn't of wasted so much money, though i suppose in this case its not his money he will be wasting Nice one though I'm sure no one would turn down a car as nice as that paid for them as there first car good luck to you Go for black wheels

Funny how my video always pops up in these threads its quite abit different now from the video, more logs, more tyres and loads of concrete pipes jeep is only there at comps
-
How much pressure did you run? personally i couldn't predict a thing on the monty which gave my core muscle abit of work trying to keep balanced on small objects, Mr rankin has been having from what it seems a much better time with his creepy crawler but has also said he will change back to try-all soon. Im still adamant though that the monty is poor stability wise, i also think alot of people who rave about them havn't usually been riding long or are not at a high enough standard to really put a tyre through its paces(not directed at you:P), though im sure alot there alot of people ready to disagree with me there. Though thats the same with most products and people on this forum At the end of they day its just my personal preferences and opinions, hopefully no one is offended by what i have said If the tyre works great for you then really theres no need to read what i say i can be rather oppinionated sometimes sorry With the try-all light i dont have much faith in it, but being a wieght weenie i will probably give it a whirl at some point

A few of us that probably would of gone are heading up to the bristish national comp thingy
-
Any possibility you guys might be doing this again next week? i will be down patchway next week, would like to see some bristol spots and ride with some new people
-
From what i remember are stupidly heavy

If your using a magura i would stay away from the rockman/try-all front, they made them alot narrower at 32mm, i had problems with some koxx forks and these rims basically had the calipers as far in as possible pads half worn tpa wound all the way in and still too much leverage. Im not one for destroying rims(dont think i ever have) so havnt had to buy many, i don't think you can go much wrong with trial tech/atomz personally i would go for the try-all/rockman if running a disk and if your an ultra wieght weenie get the monty it says its 283g but only 30mm wide EDIT: i lied i killed a dob rear rim
-
Just remember the side walls dont sit straight so if your running the new type magura mounts which set them selfs straight your pads have to wear at an angle to them, of course if your running a disc is doesnt matter Currently this is my problem with the onza pro diamond. Think i will get myself the rockman rear rim next, its a try-all but cheaper

Monty tyres stable? seriously what the hell are you people riding just completely flat even surfaces? i even split a valve due to the monty folding so much, also found pinching off the edge of things it would just rim out too easily. Ah! pump it up harder i bet you all thought, i did it just felt really hard on flat surfaces not alot of bounce. If your just riding street i would probably say just get the creepy crawlers, if your doing natural, actually riding on difficult uneven surfaces and pinch on the edge for gaps get try-all.
