  1. heres the web link to all 144 photos from that ride!!! download them (takes about 2 mins on broadband) and then find the one you like the most... http://www.trials-shack.co.uk/memran/pics.zip
  2. dave - don't worry thats just the silly legal bit, if you ride like a cock and trash the place you'll get thrown out, if all your doing is trying stupidly big moves thats cool so long as we can all laugh at you!!! tipsy jock - 10ft??? don't you remember me climbing down it? its about 20ft to the beach!!! it was f**kin huge and stupid!!! classic ride that was (for those who don't understand, the pic on the poster was taken at the last llandudno ride and the drop was massive onto the rocks and beach below) see y'all there, i've just sorted a load of pallets so all i've gotta get now are the sleepers and we're ready to roll...
  3. hey dave, i'm up for it in liverpool but it'll have to be towards the end of the month, possible early feb cos i'm still madly organising this indoor event...
  4. can people please print this poster out and put it up in their local bike shops (north west and mids only). we wana advertise this as wide spread as possible and make it a huge event to remember cheers all http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....cmd=si&img=5498 ps: if anyone could put the image in the thread that'd be cool
  5. cheers phil you anal and the rest of your lot coming up? gona make a weekend of it???
  6. http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....cmd=si&img=5440 can someone please put this image into the a post in here, i don't know how to directions and a map of the location of the event...
  7. pallets, cotton reels (spools), sleepers, tractor tyres, a couple of ramps, some benches and whatever else i drag along... nothing is set in stone until i get my hands on the stuff and at this time of year its a nightmare... don't worry though, it will be a night to remember...
  8. yeah will's right, we are going to have to limit it to 50 riders which i don't think will be a problem... if by any chance more than 50 riders turn up it will be a case of taking turns, so long as we don't have more than 50 people actually riding at once we're fine... see you all there
  9. this ride will be even better than last years, a cos its inside when the weathers crappy b cos there are going to be loads of riders there and c cos i'm working my ass off to make it a night to remember...
  10. shit me i'm feeling the heat for this event now with the riders who've put their names foward. don't worry though i'm gonna work my ass off to make it a night to remember... ps: don't anyone worry about looking shit i can guarantee i WILL be the worst rider there...
  11. todays update: i've sorted a cotton reel, 2 large tractor tyres, and £250-300 to buy sleepers with. i'm gonna get the pallets for free again and the council have agreed to run this sort of event once a month if its a sucess... bob/will if you wana make a sidehop bar and bring it along i can't promise we'll be able to use it because of silly health and safety but its worth a try... (please dont anyone else bring anything home made along though!!!
  12. i have thought about it but i'm shit at side hops and wouldn't really know how to make one and how high it should be... would a long piece of dowel do for the bar? and then two uprights with nails in them at 1" gaps? we can make a gap compo out of the sleeres or pallets no probs...
  13. its all cool, i've just sorted a big reel, a couple of tractor tyres and i'm probably sorted for pallets (borrowed!!!) just gotta get funding for the sleepers now...
  14. if anyone knows where we can get pallets, cable drums and sleepers from please let me know, they're a bitch to get hold of...
  15. glad to see theres support. it looks like the koxx uk lads might be coming along, i've been talking to fred and we're hoping to sort something out where they bring along a couple of riders and a few demo bikes so it should be a great evening. if i get enough people definately coming along i might be able to organise a ride the next day too. fred suggested ogwen but we may have transport issues so if there is anyone who definately wants to ride ogwen i can look into hiring a mini bus but you'll all need to let me know...
  16. this one won't be a comp because we need to judge the demand before we fork out the set up costs of running a comp. this can run as a comp if thats what we want on the night, i am going to sort the venue and the obsticles and then leave the rest open to the riders who show up on the night... if we decide there will be enough support we will start a monthly comp/indoor jam through the winter and then take things outside in the summer but that will only come if you turn up and air your views on this first event...
  17. there will not be seperate category's because this is the first one and we want to just run it as a all in and have a laugh type thing to judge the needs of the people who turn up... there will be sections but it is not going to be run as a strict competition more as a session to test the water and see what interest we get. if this is a success the council will invest more money into the event and therefor the whole thing will get better and we will be able to expand. cheers tom ps: any questions or helpful tips on indoor sections would be appreciated
  18. there will be at least 4 marked sections which will be independant of each other. they will be marked out competition style but this will be removed if it is decided that an open layout would be better on the night. there may well be more than 4 sections but i need people to come up with section ideas that don't cost the earth, are not death traps and can be easily set up and stored indoors.... there will also be a speed trials course set up down the middle of the room for 2 riders to race each other along. if you've got any ideas that you think may help chuck them on here, i'm open to suggestions...
  19. yeah its my council contacts yet again. the lay out will probably be - 4 sections around the outside of the hall and a dual speed trials course through the middle. that should keep the evening entertaining enough, i know its not going to be massive but its INDOORS and in january when there is nothing dry to ride elsewhere!!! it will be £1 entry for the evening, the money raised will go towards advertising and the purchase of new stuff to ride on so the more people who turn up, the better the next one will be!!! see you all there and spread the word as much as you can...
  20. as it says in the title, indoor trials event, 6.30-9pm in llandudno there will be 4/5 sections and everything can be moved and re built as we go along if people get bored of the sections. if this is a success we will be able to start a year round trials competition, indoor all winter, outdoor all summer so come along and help jump start trials comps in north wales. for more info pm me, i will update this from time to time but don't come on here much anymore... friday 28th january 2005...
  21. i'd get a one off frame made out of ti, a pair of leeson 360 forks (made out of ti) a pair of chris kings but i'd get king to do a special one off colour pattern for me ti spokes a sun double wide drilled out so it didn't weight too much rear rim a front mavic rim again drilled to match the rear, both rims colour co ordinated one off ti bars carbon stem a rear maggie with one off levers, one off booster and heatsink pads and braided hose a front disk (hope) with matching one off lever to the maggie and one off leeson rotor i'd commision race face to make me a special bb and crank set i'd get irc to make 20 pairs of special tyres for me so i never run out some nice magnesium pedals some one off lock on grips that should cost a few thousand alone me thinks... also totally pointless!!!
