  1. ah man you've got to change your name by depol so it really is alexx...
  2. i've read all of this thread and understood none of it so in plain (computer illiterate) english acbn someone please answer: 1 - can i buy a minimac and use it like i'm currently using my pc? 2 - will the minimac be able to do word type stuff or is it music + video only 3 - what are the main problems with only having a minimac likely to be? 4 - should i just go buy a pc/laptop or wait and get a minimac??? (oh yeah i don't need it til oct when i go to uni...
  3. any idea of likely spec, geo and prices???
  4. well i was hoping for 30 riders but the response i've had on here i think we could double that! tommorrow the day that all the stuff starts arriving... i've got a van booked all afternoon to go and collect bits and pieces and maybe even have a quick ride
  5. you a regular bike fixer dave? it'll be interesting to see who spends more time fixing their bike than riding on the night...
  6. not a fan, it looks just like everything else on the forum, when was the last time i saw an original looking bike, something a bit different? i remember, that amazing stealthy black leeson from months ago, now that was nice...
  7. come on lets face it when have you ever been to any event where 50 riders are all riding at the same time? theres always a group of people talking, fixing bikes and taking pics so don't worry you'll be allowed in...
  8. if i give you my mob no. do you wana give us a call when you get to llandudno and we might come and meet you for lunch if everythings going ok with the setting up. if were really ahead of schedule we might even come for a bit of a ride... let me know and nearer the time i'll start handing out my no.
  9. f**kIN AMAZING VIDEO, I LOVED IT. MAN THAT WAS THE BEST RIDING I'VE SEEN IN A LONG TIME, WELL IMPRESSED AND SORRY TO SAY IT ON A TRIALS FORUM BUT I THINK THATS THE BEST VID I'VE EVER SEEN ON HERE, FAR MORE IMPRESSIVE THAN ANYTHING ELSE I'VE SEEN... NICE ONE FELLA'S (1 trials rider who might be about to quit completely and take up park instead...)
  10. ooh ooh how to you ignore people? i know how to block their pm's which i've done to a few people but i wana know how to ignore people just for the novelty factor. i might ignoree all new members and then i can rear the few interesteing threads in new members without getting bogged down... (Y)
  11. well the evnt starts at 6.30 so if your there for half six you'll be the first riders in... anyone coming from the station pm me and tell me what time your trains coming in, i will then give you my mobile number and when you arrive you can call me and either i or one of the other riders will come and meet you... i've just checked trains and for anyone who can't get a lift from llandudno to bangor your going to be on the train with me which leaves llandudno at 21.42 and gives us 50 minutes of riding time in junction beofe getting the connection to bangor. we get to bangor at 5 to eleven and its 5 minutes to matts house so i can show everyone the way... bit of an arse that theres not a better train but hey we can night ride the llandudno junction area and theres enought to do to keep us busy... oh yeah with videoing it, i don't mind people videoing the event but if you do i would ask you not to put the footage up on the internet because we are having trouble raising fund to pay for future events so i'd like to make a good video and compile all the photos and then sell them. this may sound a bit off but when you consider this event has cost over £600 and we have only £50 coming back through entry fee i've got to find some way of making some money back for the club so we can afford insurance and to pay for venue hire. if everyone could respect this i would appreciate it alot, i'm not being tight i'm just trying to secure the future of indoor bike trials in north wales...
  12. you could just skip school for the day and come down early, get some street riding in and then come to the event (not that i would ever suggest anyone skips school to ride trials)
  13. once i've done the indoor event i'll be able to give you a realistic idea of how much work you need to put into it. the first thing to realise is to do a good event you need to have at least 6 weeks to plan it and get everything organised. the other thing to realise is that your going to have to put alot of time and effort into making it a success. i'd quit using the forum til i started organising the indoor event and no i'm back on every night, phoning people about it every day and in meetings with people once or twice a week, its alot of work especially when you consider i don't ride much any more... oh yeah and if your organising it, chances are you won't be able to ride much because you'll need to keep an eye on everything, make sure no ones trying to kill themselves... good luck an get some piccys up when your done...
  14. yeah but i've run countless trials, jump, bmx and skate events over the last 5 years, we had a demo team and ran properly organised events that they didn't bother covering even though we told them about it. things have changed recently and they're getting better but i doubt we'll have a photographer and reporter at the inodoor event like we asked for...
  15. also if you get a job with your local paper you can highlight trials as a sport to those who don't ride and help the sport to spread... i wish i had a trials riding journo at my local paper, i keep dragging them out to do shoots and stuff and then it doesn't bloody appear in the paper!!! (saying that they've been good about advertising the indoor event)
  16. the only thing you've gotta make sure is that when your welder re welds it he makes sure the tube goes back in the right place so that you don't gt a lop sided frame, one of my mates had a cracked alu headtube re welded and it held up fine, no probs the only bummer is the headtube gained about 5 degrees cos it wasn't welded back on where it had come off, they welded over the crack and the frame felt like a chopper.... ps: whats wrong with the ghost? they're lovelly...
  17. and if you wanted to add things to section 7 i'm sure whoever runs that would be grateful seeing as no-ones put anything new on there for ages and subsiquently everyone's stopped using it (sorry danny and tom, i'm not trying to get people to leave TF and use section7 but its a good site that could do with some new input)
  18. hmmm nice to see they've changed things - not! half that stuff was being used when i went and that was something silly like 96/97!!! did ot pi ride in the interval? nice sections but as i say, some of that stuff is OLD might go next year if i'm not away snowboarding...
  19. mod661 - post up a thing in all 3 of the threads, i'm sure theres riders coming from leeds way, if you put enough messages up i'm sure someone will give you a lift or you could get the train from leeds to Llandudno
  20. are you allowed to take 26" singlespeed hardtails in there? if you are i might look at coming up in a couple of months...
  21. 1030 dbr tibo frame with an 80mm manitou fork, thats the longest hardtail wheelbase anyones put up so far - yay i win (partly)
  22. i've just measured my tibo dbr and realised i don't need a new short frame, mine about 1030 (just under) with my 80mm manitou forks on it... thanks anyway...
  23. if you've still not got one i'm going to canada in may and i'm thinking about bringing some parts home anyway...
  24. uh ok, i'm not fussy either way but if i do end up riding ogwen i could still do with borrowing a bike. hey maybe i'll just ride bangor both days, once with each group...
  25. listen to gustav holst the planets but turn it up loud...
