ah common people, i'm not looking for a perfect video of perfect riding, just think about a normal comp, you ride as well as you can and if you screw up so what you just keep going. this video comp is about making the most of what you've got not going to some jaw dropping location and riding perfectly for 2 minutes. use you bloody imagination and make the most of what you have. go watch ALI C's recent video, thats shot in an area close enough to use for this comp the only difference is he edited it. get off you lazy asses and go video 2 minutes riding, it aint that hard! oh yeah and if you host it somewhere i can watch it direct without having to download it then i'll accept that and a PM with a direct link as entry!!! tom

i've got a shit load of pics but barbara has my digi cam cable becayse i left it in my camera bag on her car!!! if i work out way of getting them off the camera i'll chuck some up...

just got back - didn't ride because i was minding for tom oliver all day, first time i've done minding and had a great day. got shit loads of pics but unfortunately no video because i only had a camera not a videocam. a huge thank you to EVERYONE who made it such a great day, everyone seemed to be getting on well, a few snyde comments here and there but in general everyone seemed friendly and up for a good day. got home and instantly went out for the most hardcore rip on my bike i've had in a long time, so being up there all day with no bike obviously did some good! barbara - i'll grab my cam bag when i can, cheers for keeping it safe, tom oliver - you did me proud boyo, see you soon, ian - cheers for the invite and the lift home, ALI C - cheers for dinner last night and the spare bed, dorothy - cheers for the breakfast and sarnies, they were a life saver half way through the day! anyone i've missed sorry but the bike is calling so my minds not on the job. cheers for a great day, see y'all soon i hope tom

email magura if you want but the lever body has to be made, theres are about 10 different moving parts in the lever and then theres all the standard fittings. theres also the fact they hardly sell any (relatively) levers alone so that increases the price because of packing, shipping stock etc.... i think the £40 they're asking is perfectly fair in consideration to other parts prices - king cogs - £36!!!

sorry but thats a load of crap - shimano silent clutches are beasts of hubs, i've not heard of anyone killing one (not to say they haven't), the downside is they feel real spongy, so long as you get used to it they're great and the pick ups good but they do have that spongyness to them...

davetrials killed one of the axles but he rides 24/7 and kiss everything so no supprises there! the stock ones also could do with a steel upgrade but i've been running one for a while now and think its great...

is it just me or does eveyone have trouble getting TF to load up when they first type the addy in or link from an email telling you you have PM's? the last few days every time i've tried to get on here its taken fookin ages to load up and often doesn't load at all. never had any trouble before tom

last summer i snapped a chain while out riding and when bob picked it up he was like 'christ thats old' that got me thinking and i realised it was 8 years old and had been used for trials, dh, dirt jump, street, road and xc and had been on more bikes than i could remeber. needless to say i decided it was time to value my front teeth and replaced it...
