  1. theres a thread in the new members chat about the future of the club, shall we keep it to there and then the likes of ducko, rob and matt can join in...?
  2. good good mate, i'd rather everyone aired their views. back on topic cheers for the linky i've now downloaded and installed movie maker 2.0 (any good?) and this topic can be closed if a mod wants to...
  3. cheers pete (ps-comments in the other post were not aimed at u i was just making a point that north wales does have trials riders)
  4. ok obviously my mistake, this is going to sound thick but where do i get movie maker from???
  5. how do i edit videos in mediaplayer? i was told i could but i've never edited anything before and have some vids i want to do. can i use mediaplayer or do i have to download a video editing programme? cheers tom
  6. i'm just downloading now, cheers for putting the vid up mike, ours won't be ready for a little while yet! ah man that video has made me all happy inside. maybe all the effort was worth it, those crazy lines that were being pulled were great! cheers for doing the vid man, ours will be up asap with every single run from the comp plus shed loads of extra footage and a load of great pics  cheers to all who came, steve from heatsinkpads.com, phil from selectbikes.com and scania from howies (Y) (Y) :S
  7. i'm not blaming any of you for the shit above, i'm trying to make it clear what i have put into this event and how many sacrifices i have to make. i dont really give a shit if you think i'm pathetic because you dont know me. oh yeah and london ride, i'm up for it, infact you wana ride dublin too? if you don't think i'd travel for a london ride then you show up and i'll see you there  stop mouthing off and try to understand where i coming from
  8. no i haven't riden london for one simple fact - every ride thats been organised has clashed with something else i'm doing. if you wana meet up and ride london i'll see you at euston train station at 10.30am one morning in a few weeks time... i'm not having a go at those who live a long way away, i'm pissed with the locals and those from the midlands/north west who siad they were coming and then pulled out! if an indoor event isn't your things thats cool, i'm not asking you to come, what i am doping is asking people to have the decency to turn up when they book a place or at least call me to cancel the place they've booked... so yeah london, i'm up for it. i'll look in my diary and find a free weekend, see you in the big town donw south sometime soon
  9. thats really f**king harsh and the way i see it out of order, i'm not crying about anything, i'm telling it like it is, the shit that i have gone through to organise this last event isn't worth it. i've had mouthy locals being complete pricks and loads of riders 'guarantee' they were coming only to pull out and not even have the decency to call to let me know! also, its not one bad event putting me off its the attitude of most of the local riders and the fact that i have pretty much destroyed my 2 year relationship with my girlfriend because of my involvement with these events. i can deal with the poor turn out, i wasn't expecting the same turn out as last time but what really gets me is the locals and the fact they don't seem to give a shit what i've put into this. i'm not organising another event until i've got my life back on track, currently i could be about to lose my girlfriend and i have a college course to pass...
  10. i'm the first to admit the weekend i chose was not my first choice but you look at the events callendar for this time of year!!! the turn out to this event was so bad i am seriously considering whether its worth running another one, the only reason i'm still considering carrying on is becasue some people have paid up for club membership... my girlfriend sounds pretty close to leaving me and it is 100% because of the event i organised, i have neglected her and not seen her so much over the last 2 months because i've put so much time into the event for what? i know i'm not on all you door steps and theres no trains into llandudno on a sunday but there is a connecting bus from the junction that you can take your bike on and christ how difficult is it for people to get here? we're 2 hours from liverpool and manchester, 2 and a half from leeds, birmingham and the rest of the midlands and only 3 and a half from london! come on people put some effort in. what really gets me down is that locally we do have quite a few riders, there are 4 on anglesea, 5 in bangor, 3+ in rhyl a couple down the valley and about 8-10 really local. how many turned up to help dismantle the sections? 3, including me!!! as of now i am not planning another event, if any of the other club members want to then i will support them regardless of the format but i have decided that its not worth the effort i put in, i am now loggin off and forgetting about trials events so i can go and patch up my relationship with my girlfriend and get the grades i need in college, if you want future events then show the support. tom ps: huge thanks to all those who did actually turn up
  11. hey stan, yes i'm planning more events but i can't say for sure that they will actually happen. basically there are 4 locals (including me) who actually do anything useful or helpful and i'm not going to let organising events take over my life again. for the last 6 weeks every minute that i've not been in college or working has been spent organising this event, my girlfriend stopped talking to me for over a week because all i did was talk about what i had to do for the event and i nearly failed an important essay in college. its too much work for one person to do and the other three help out as much as they can but in north wales there are about 20 riders, see what i'm getting at? for example tonight 3 of us have spent 3 hours moving pallets, unbuilding sections and returning the pallets to where we borrowed them from, there were 70 pallets to move!!! i'm now really tired and pissed off and still have to sort my shit for work tommorrow. (sorry this has turned into a ranty!) i want to run an outdoor natural event but expect alot more help off the other locals, if i don't get it then the event won't happebn and i'll sore up my effort for a big event in the summer. on a possitive note: results from the comp! i dont have the full list but here are the places i can remember 1st - tim stedman 2nd - ali c 3rd - danny smith top member - mat everett well done lads, you gave us some great riding and the video will be up asap... hopefully there will be another event soon and we'll see some more of you...
  12. we've had a brilliant weekend, the turn out was low but that meant we all had loads of space to ride the sections and everyone had a better chance in the comp. great weekend, shame more of you didn't make it, you missed out! vids and pics up soon :o
  13. hey mike its only 45mins from chester to llandudno and the only reason theres no trains back on sunday is because the trains dont run between llandudno and llandudno junction on a sunday, there is however a replacement bus that you can catch (yes with you bike!) from llandudno to the junction and then catch the train home. the only reason the train's taking so long is because of the wait in getting to llandudno. see you tommorrow boyo, you'll be in trouble if you don't show!!!
  14. ok i've just had my system bled for me, cheers bob (Y) oh yeah and thanks for basically building my bike
  15. quitev tastey but leeson rotors look much better and quite possibly work better too...
  16. i'm sure i could but i'd like to know if thats the way to do it or not. i see little point in doing it wrong and f**king it up, i'd rather try and find someone who has the answer and ask them thanks for the idea though >_<
  17. all in north wales - llandudno - ok plus bmx track next door again ok colwyn bay - quite nice abergele - shit llanwrst - shit penmaenmawr - ok llanfairfechan - ok caernarfon - good also occasionally indoor skate or trials events, contact me for details...
  18. right i've just bled my system and even done perfectly with new oil the pads take a while to return. the brake works but not that quick, yeah i know oil is slower than water but this is alot slower than oil should be and yes i've used the right oil... can anyone tell me how you clean out the slaves because i'm sure its just all the shit thats clogged up in there making them move slow, will i have to strip them and re bleed the system or can i clean the slaves some other way? any help mucho appreciated >_< ps: if you can tell me before the weekend it'd help so i can actually get some riding done at the indoor event this weekend...

  21. and then realised it was a house and it didn't actually have a tongue, instead it had destroyed its garage door!
  22. however farms oftern have lambs and farms are a type of house and lambs could be a typo of limbs
  23. not if it doesn't hang off the end or side of the bike unreasonably and is secured safely so it won't fall off or distract other drivers or inhibit your ability to ride the bike...
