  1. wow i really wouldn't use that stuff mate, a friend of mine does and its basically peroxide, really really not good for you at all!!! theres a few natural options available, the best being pit rock (go ask in a health food store), it kills all the bacteria that cause the smell :P bloody good stuff (if you remember to use it)
  2. righto i'm going to make a few job suggestions after a few little chats i've had with a few people, if the people i suggest don't want to do the jobs then thats fine but i thought to get the ball rolling i'd make the first move so here goes: comp organisers - ducko and rob demo organiser - matt (with help from barlow) liasing with council and sponsors - me design of sections + demo rigs etc - ducko (with help from barlow) membership - me organising and running regular meetings - matt (because he wants to) demo riders (x2) - matt and will (because neither of them have sponsorship clashes) media coverage - pete (he's an arty type) health and safety - bob (he seems to have a mature H+S attitude and understanding) grant sourcing and applying - ????? web site design and maintainance - barlow (because his site is great and he mentioned he's not bad at it) any thoughts on this??? i'm sure there are loads of other jobs that need delegating out but this is the starter list... remember these are just my thoughts and suggestions that i've put up to be discussed and edited cheers tom
  3. how do i know if your mum's been in my fridge??? (you know the answer)
  4. landy's too short to move half that stuff anyway... don't worry about it mate, if they want the stuff off the prom they'll have to bring the van down to help shift it...
  5. no idea, the council seem to think we're f**king wizards god damn they piss me off and i work for them!!!
  6. oh yeah, i've just had paule from the council on the phone, she wants to know where all the demo rig stuff is and when we're going to move it. she's being a right moody bitch ATM and we'll all need to get down the hall tommorrow evening to move our stuff into the storage room... (bloody council)
  7. fancy the job of demo rig + section designer? obviously all of these jobs will end up being an all in thing but there needs to be one person in charge of each job to stop the bickering etc and make things run smoother...
  8. what about if the prom, sea walls, rocks and some of the beams, pallets etc were combined to make crazy elite routes? i've not got a great idea of what elite is (excpet for bloody stupid) so can't really judge what is elite and what is suicide (if theres a difference)...
  9. so do all of us but when your doing a demo to try and publicise a club you kinda have to ride for the public not for yourself
  10. yes at a few points there were but maybe future ones should run with a schedule, demos at 11, 12, 1, 2 1and 3 o'clock or something similar??? fair enough, i think the option of using the sea defences and prom in rhos is a nice simple option hwoever the harbor master needs contacting. also i know its possibly not going to give us the best natural sections but it'd be a fun location and maybe if we ran our first comp there we could take what we'd learnt from that and make sure our first 100% natural one was a complete success...
  11. *thanks the trials god* nice one matt, if your happy to organise and run regular meetings then that would be great. now we all know what is involved with the club a bit more maybe we could re run the AGM and see who want what jobs? also if you want to do demo/event organising then that'd be great. as far as demo riders go there are in my mind only 2 locals and 2 not so locals who would make good demo riders and two out of that 4 have other sponsorship comitments. i dont mind riding demos but i dont think i make a good demo rider. i'm not going to start putting names down yet but if we're looking for 3 demo riders then i know instantly who my first 2 choices are and after a qucik chat someone about sponsorship stuff i know who i'd have as the third...
  12. its not that clean cut i'm afraid, some people will sweat like peado's in a playground no matter how fit they are where as some other lazy f**kers hardly sweat at all, its very much a person to person thing... (the shock hits me as i realise i have actually learnt something in colege!!!)
  13. you can change that by verbally abusing tomturd or danny if you want to, otherwise behave yourself and it'll stay as it is :)
  14. sweating has nothing to do with your fitness for the likes of us (non obese mother f***ers) theres really not a huge amount you can do about it other than think about what your wearing to help the sweat get off you as quickly as possible... stay away from synthetic fibres because they stink when sweated in and stay away from cotton because it'll just soak the sweat up and make you all damp, your best bet is probably one of these, it'll keep you feeling fine all day no matter how much you sweat... thats about all i can suggest, definately do not cut down how much you drink because you'll still sweat until you run out of fluid to sweat out and then you'll probably colapse from de hydration... hope that helps tom
  15. 3 vampires walk into a pub the first one goes to the bar and orders a pint of blood, the barman gives him a pint of blood and off he goes the second one goes to the bar asks for a pint of blood and then returns to his seat the third one goes to the bar and asks for a cup and a pot of boiling water 'don't you want a pint of blood like your mates' says the barman the vampire pulls a used tampon out of his pocket and says 'haven't you ever heard of tea bags???'
  16. that sounds good but atm we're running under council insurance and that can only cover us for conwy county, as soon as someone takes up the job of getting insurance for the club sorted they can work out with the comp organiser where the best location would be :) in terms of demo riders i have put 2 down because at the moment i think 2 focussed riders is enough to run a good demo if its properly organised, if the club finds it can run a well structured demo with more than that then great but i think we should learn to ride before we try to jump (if you get what i mean :D ) what does everyone else think about demo riders? i think its important to have a couple of riders who do demos so that they can be more structured, this weekend was fun but didn't get the crowds going that much...
  17. bull bars kill people, they are not needed or cool, sorry mate but bull bars are just a good way of guaranteeing that if you do ever hit anyone by mistake they'll end up dead not just injured!!!
  18. yeah but whatever a white lad shouts at a group of asian lads is going to be seen as racism even if it was one of the many other p****** words i'm sure they would have seen it as racism... anyhow, waiting to see response off thread author to get the whole story
  19. hmmm if thats true then its was asked for, racism has no place in this country and the only people who can get away with calling asian's 'pakis' are other asians...
  20. its all ok, i've just tried copied copying the films back off the CD onto the HD and they dont skip. its all ok i'll just have to put them all back onto the HD when i wana watch them
  21. what about if i copied the movies back onto the HD after its been formatted next week? will they still skip or will they run smoother off the HD??? i have no idea how to make my CD burner burn slower, i'm burning onto Mr.data disks 700mb and it takes about 8mins per disk... cheers tom
  22. why oh why are all my quicktime movies running fine off the hardrive but now i've backed them up onto CD skippier than the small orange australian thing??? this is really getting on my nerves because my media player keeps crashing and now my quicktime movies all skip, i have to back them up onto disk because the computers getting re formatted next week!!!
  23. if it was against a white sheet i wouldn't want to crop it, i wanted that one done because its the best angle shot i have of the bike and i dunno when i'll next be able to blag my dads camera  thanks anyway :)
  24. 11, i'm now 21 and still shit  i ride because i enjoy it and i enjoy being crap (thats this weeks excuse...)
  25. i've often thought about carrying a knife but the simple truth is if you take a knife into a fight you are more likely to get stabbed!!! if you dont know what your doing with it there is a very high chance of them getting it off you and using it on you. i'd rather take the kicking than my own knife in my gut!!!
