  4. hey waynio i'm working down there for the weekend. i'm thinking about taking my bike for a sat night street ride, you up for it? see you there dude tom
  5. matt - if you could enquire about that piping it'd be cool however: due a SERIOUS LACK OF INTEREST i am unsure as to whether this comp will run or not. i have had 1 entry posted to me and we have just 2 weekends to go before the comp date. i am working at the cycle show the weekend before and have just been asked to do a weekends work the following weekend (the weekend of the comp) for this and the lack of entries reasons i am left with a very difficult decision to make, do i cancel the comp or move it to the following weekend? obviously either would be a shame but to cancel the comp completely would be a real shame. please will you post up here and get your entry forms in ASAP if you are coming to this comp because its not worth all the effort if only one person is going to compete. if there is anyone who has entered already and cannot make the following weekend then they will of course be given a full refund and a huge appology and if no one else seems interested and we cancel then all entrants will get a full refund. sorry to be the bringer of bad news people but i'm swimming against a very strong current here and somethings got to go...
  6. quick note to the locals, has anyone been able to do any of the bits and pieces i asked for? (bob, rob, matt?) if not can you let me know asap because we've gotta get this sorted asap. cheers lads tom
  7. we'll never be able to organise an event that is on the right weekend for everyone so we just have to accept that some people won't be able to make it, sorry and maybe you'll be able to make the next one... now get out and ride and i'll see you in wales (Y)
  8. i'm riding sunday. get snappel or dlb to call me and i'll try and hook up with you. anyone in john moores uni, come up to i m marsh campus and just ask around for tom who's got all the bikes and the uni cycle and i'm sure you'll find me. later tom

  10. will - any avid stuff you want just let me know and i'll see if i can get it on the cheap for you. i've got access to a trade account...
  11. i know excactly how you feel because i'm in a very similar situation, don't make it sound like we're being un reasonable just ask for help. i'll happily do it, post me the results or email them through (if simon cant or doesn't want to). also seeing as you organised the event its really down to you to make sure that someone sorts the results out, i'm not saying its your job but those of us who came and rode want to know how we did... tom
  12. the comp is on the saturday and the hang over riding jam on the sunday... waynio if you don't make it to this one i'll let mike have his wicked way with you (Y) oh yeah and you and bucky (especially bucky) are as always expected to supply the eye candy  laterz tom
  13. yeah i ride a de stickered long echo control with blue pashley forks. i've got shaggy long hair and a goatie and as ali said big lips... oh yeah and i wear a semi mx covered in stickers... i just wna give a huge hey to all the amazing people i met over the weekend it was one of the best weekends of my life... later, tom
  14. watson dont be a fag, get the bloody train!!! its not too bad and believe you me it WILL be worth the journey... pete - i can email you a form if you pm me your email addy or you can get one off will next week (assuming he has one which he bloody well should have)
  15. avoid like the plague - rimjams. the reds are great until they peel apart, the blue's are ok until they snap in half and peel apart and the greens are pure shit. heatsink konig's - brilliant pads but expect them to die in about a week, i killed a set right to the plastic in 2 days at fort william, one day competeing and another arsing around. coust pads - expensive but amazing - buy some plaz's - cheaper and still very good - buy there if you cant afford cousts home made's - the way foward if you have the bottle to try it and can't afford new pads all the time...
  16. johnstone... was a great weekend and good to see so many riders from across the country. the only thing that i disliked was the difference between rookie and inter, inter would have killed me and i doubt i would have finished a single section but rookie was a tad easy. ah well it was a great weekend none the less...
  17. yet again another amazing weekend, this summer has been full of so many of them i dont want it to end. the highlights? the 32p bargain at the petrol station, the £15 bargain at the event, kidnapping ali c, meeting so many cool riders, riding the DH course on my trials bike (Y) , getting pissed last night, the fights that broke out in the car, the UNBELIEVABLE quality of fit women up there, watsons gashed up leg, finishing the comp on 6 dabs. thats about it for me i think, many a quality memory and loads of new riders met, HUGE thank you to fred, mik, barbara and all the observers and helpers. see many of you at hook woods next weekend, no doubt that one will be stupid too and then the big one in north wales next month. thats going to be 2 days to remember. byeeee tom
  18. i handed out a load of forms at fort william this weekend and no doubt they'll be flying in soon. the riders who are interested are very good indeed and all a good laugh to ride with so there'll be a good atmosphere there no matter how many turn up. i'm going to speak to the club sponsors over the next week about sorting out a raffle for all entrants so that all riders get a shot at the prizes not just the top riders. also i can now confirm that the sections in this comp will be UCI style rules. the rules will be simplified for club use but it'll have a nice uci flavour to keep everyone on their toes (or rather on their wheels only...) see you all next month tom
  19. yeah come on people, i unbderstand that we all have lives outside of the forum but it'd be nice to know how we did...
  20. liverpool john moores to do a BSc in outdoor and environmental education. big up those crazy scouse riders, i'm moving in next week :(
  21. dunno but i want some of it because although 99% of system lyrics are mad, the 1% make more sense than all the trash pop and rap in the world put together. oh yeah and its good for K1 too (scousers only will understand)
  22. your local metal workers could do it no doubt... if not phone clive leeson and be very nice...
  23. i have :D i'm sure it'll arrive (if you remembered to write your address on the SAE that is...)
  24. i like the idea of something that bridges the differences between mod and stock, it'd be great to see how it rides. i used to love my 24" for trials... nice one for trying it, who's going to be testing it so i can start badgering them for a go???
