Some shitty cat or fox has chewed through my Ethernet cable to the shed. it’s pretty sturdy casing. anyone got any good ideas on joining cat6 and still maintaining gigabit? Running new would be such a huge job I can’t really contemplate…

oh my god! I came across this looking for updates on the kit car completely at random! I’m sorry I missed this (I’m so dim but at least the name change now makes sense ) Just a massive thank you to you Adam, TB help and support was incredible, as a customer and rider. Hope whatever you do (are doing now I guess) next brings you good things Rowan.

Bloody engine management light on, a month after a service on a 4yo car is a ball ache (should have just bought another banger) vw can’t look at it until the middle of December Ffs. Also my usual local access to a proper scanner moved to Germany, gah

As predicted the fia, fail to punish Redbull properly. The fine doesn’t even come out of the cost capped budget! get ready for other teams to not give a shit if they are close to the front….

Yeah, I’d guess it would need to be abs printed too, which is not so easy. The only trouble is dead ones are mostly just chucked in the bin. sram also confirmed no spares. Bastards.

So I made an error putting my cranks back on and broke the flimsy plastic bearing cup on my sram dub bb. Can’t seem to find spares anywhere. I don’t really want to have to buy a whole new bb! Anyone got any ideas? They seem to be available for 24mm axles but not 30/29/whatever dub is.

We are no longer are living in a democracy. Effectively for two years.

The cost cap is at the core of the rules now, and the fia is absolutely going to f**k this up again. You can’t really call it a sport if no one enforces the rules on or off the track properly.

If only he said chassis right.

WTF happened to project Binky ? its been a hella long gap between episodes and the stanceworks guys voice is starting to annoy... Also, as you've all owned at least 10 mx5s , what advice would you give to buying one? Asking for a friend (genuinely).

Royal Mail are a bunch of c**ts. Bristol council are a useless bunch of tards. New government are shit. Country is in mass hysteria mode.

you can get a pair that you can fill with expressed milk or powder jobs and join in... we went 50/50 fairly early on with feeding with expressed milk. Means you can share the waking nights a bit more. By all accounts its hit and miss on whether or not they take to a bottle, but we were lucky that it worked well.

I’m going with a bike on holiday in the uk and realised as I’ve not actually paid for it yet I’d quite like to insure it. I have no need of personal injury cover, just want the bike covered from theft as I’m going to have to lock it up outside a fair bit. I also would prefer cover for just the trip as when I’m at home it never gets locked up outside away from my person. anyone had any cover like that that’s not the earth, seems hard to find!! I guess a standard travel insurance that can add a bike as a listed item would be great!

Eurosport via skygo. I get home from work at a really good point in most stages. They seem to miss a lot of the important bits in the highlights packages, so I try and watch live if possible. Wiggins on a motorbike is always a good laugh.

Pidcock f.t.w. It has been a great tour so far.

TdF was epic today and tomorrow might be even better.

I just came in to post that !! Its a weird old car but I'm not surprised it broke the record. under 1000kgs, 1000bhp, 2000kg downforce from a standstill and flippin tiny. Oh and apparently there is a road legal version coming....
-
Fixed. I’d forgotten just how good Ali and Akriggs videos were. On natural stuff, just so good. videos to add to this list - all of Flipps. He has made brakeless his own. Phenomenal.

I enjoyed that time, I was riding and hanging out with Martyn a lot on the team, and that video just came and really blew everything up! I got to hang out with Danny a tiny bit and it was clear (oh so clear) how different he was. His general approach and attitude on the bike was a lot like (for me) Sam Pilgrim, no fear and all out, with a "this will be fun" kinda thinking. It was so clear the gulf between him and everyone else. Before April 09 there was a slim chance I could have learnt a full living from trials/the bike industry, but after that was just not going to be possible, and I don't say that with any kind of regret or bitterness - It was a bit of a relief in a way, as there were a few times I felt waaaaay out of depth being on that team. Side note: Its funny, me and Martyn were chatting about riding normal mountain bikes and making videos back then as that would have been such a bigger sell for DB/whoever after. We had a bit of a eureka moment when we worked out just how small the trials market was and were pretty close to sacking off trials bikes! the bike team ended before we could really go for it and I just don't have the same drive as Martyn! As it turns out big bike companies using trials to promote normal bikes is a big deal now, with Danny being a huge part of that! Danny did spawn a load of copycats and also street riding changed quite a bit to focus a lot less on actual trials moves, which I thought was a bit of a backward step as that's the bit that really enables Danny to put the cool moves into places that look amazing! The divide was weird but inevitable, but the reality was Danny was better at actual trials than most riders so was a bit of a non argument.

That was great.

I guess to be fair to apple if the owner had kept up to date over the years and done the firmware as part of it I could go straight to a newer card and Monterey. But yeah in general apple loves to screw your over. I still love it though. 12 years old and still relevant! The case is a work of art! It’ll be weird to have a windows machine again, but it’ll be useful for Claire for work.

Yeah its a bit silly - ideally id have got a newer supported metal card like a 5700xt or something (can't remember exactly which ones are allowed) but to do the firmware it has to be supported in high Sierra/Mojave. There were a couple of cheaper options but those cards were ancient so didn't really represent great value either. The rx580 was £120 posted but only the 4gb version which is not ideal but needs must. Seems a crazy amount for hardware that old.
